Eddie Savoy is a minor character featured in Red Dead Redemption.

History[]

Background[]

Eddie runs a shipping company based out of Thieves' Landing which handles nearly all the cargo moving through the town's docks, including smuggled and illicit goods. His background is otherwise unknown.

Events of Red Dead Redemption[]

Eddie is first seen during the starting mission "Exodus in America", in which he is shown to be operating the crane that unloads Edgar Ross' new automobile from the ship. Although he does not physically appear, his company's warehouse is used for the shootout between John Marston and the gang torturing Shaky during the mission "On Shaky's Ground".

Outside of missions, Eddie can most often be found working in his office at the shipping yard in Thieves' Landing, standing on top of the stairs and watching over the sea with binoculars or playing Liar's Dice in the local saloon after work hours are finished in the evening. He may also be encountered at the local brothel, conversing with other citizens or criminals alike. He has also been known to occasionally frequent Blackwater on business trips. Eddie will try to shoot the player dead should they try to assault or rob him.

A random encounter may sometimes occur where Eddie is seen being chased by wolves, cougars, or other dangerous animals, often in the Tall Trees region. If the player saves his life, they will earn Honor.
