Redstone Mines is the fifth mainland mission in Minecraft Dungeons. It is unlocked after the completion of Creeper Woods, and completing Redstone Mines unlocks Fiery Forge. It contains the captured blacksmith.

Appearance and description[edit | edit source]

“	REDSTONE MINES – There are unsettling rumblings in the mountains of the Overworld. Rumors suggest that the Illagers are building something far beneath these already-deep ancient mines - something of soot, metal and flame. Only a hero could brave the cavernous underground and uncover the truth.	„

Redstone Mines is a claustrophobic network of narrow tunnels within a cave atop a mountain. Redstone crystals can be seen jutting out of the walls and floor, which the Illagers are harvesting for construction of war machines within Fiery Forge. It features numerous railways, lifts and pulleys, mineshafts, lava pools, stone villager statues, and a massive number of mob spawners. The riches and redstone of harvested from the mines are being transported elsewhere by dangerous, fast-moving minecarts that can harm heroes. Many captured villagers can be found here, imprisoned by the Arch-Illager and made to mine redstone for the Illagers. Heroes must free all of the villagers and slay their captors to reach the deepest part of the mine. At the end of the mission, the Arch-Illager summons a redstone golem, built by the Illagers, in an attempt to stop the heroes. At the exit of the mine, a stone structure can be found that leads to the Illagers' hidden seclusion in the snowy mountains. Entering the structure ends the mission.
