Mario's Gloves are a recurring object in the Mario franchise, although their first notable role is in Luigi's Mansion.
Description[]
Mario's Gloves are one of the main parts of Mario's clothing. Mario wears them in most of his appearances, although generally not in the older games due to graphical limitations. Luigi, Wario, and Waluigi all similarly wear gloves as part of their respective outfit.
In Luigi's Mansion[]
- "Wh-what is this? If it isn't Mario's Glove! Ah-hah! Still damp with the sweat of the living!"
- —Madame Clairvoya
Mario's Glove is one of Mario's five missing items, the other four being Mario's Hat, Mario's Letter, Mario's Star, and Mario's Shoe, all of which must be brought to Madame Clairvoya so that she can provide Luigi some clues as to where Mario is located. Mario's Glove is found in the Projection Room, where a small treasure chest containing it appears after Luigi has vacuumed up every Cinema Ghost.
Even though Mario's Glove is one of Mario's missing items, Mario is shown to be wearing both in his painting. Similarly, Mario is still shown to be wearing his cap in the painting, even though it is one of his missing items.
In the Nintendo 3DS version's Hidden Mansion, Mario's Glove instead appears in the Courtyard after vacuuming up every Ceiling Surprise and Purple Bomber.
