Should You Pull for Gepard?

Gepard is a great defensive unit that can provide shields for your party and take heavy hits. As a support unit, he is quite versatile and can be slotted into different kinds of team comps. However, Gepard is a Standard 5-Star Character, so he does not get rate-up probabilities.

The only way to guarantee getting Gepard is to claim him from the 5-Star Selector after doing 300 pulls in the Stellar Warp. If you need another shielder, consider going with Gepard as your chosen 5-Star!

This Gepard build focuses on increasing the durability of his shields to enhance his effectiveness as a Tank.

DEF% as his Main Stat for the chest piece is the go-to choice for increasing the strength of his shields. However, if you find yourself not needing it, Effect Hit Rate as a Main Stat can be useful for increasing Gepard's chance to Freeze enemies on Skill.

Once you have an E1 Gepard, you can go back to using DEF% as the Main Stat for his chest. E1 will increase the base chance of his Freeze to 100%, but you will need 67% EHR to freeze enemies in high-tier content since enemies can have up to 40% Effect Res.

Recommended Stat Values

Gepard would want a lot of HP and DEF since he's a tank and his shields scale off DEF. As for SPD, just hit the minimum 134 or higher if you need him to take more actions in a cycle.

Gepard's Gameplay Guide

Protect the Entire Party

Gepard's main role in the party is to prevent his teammates from getting damaged by providing shields. Gepard also has an increased chance of being targeted by enemy attacks thanks to his bonus ability, Integrity.

Gepard can also gain a second wind due to his Talent. When Gepard is struck with a killing blow, Gepard's HP will immediately be restored to a certain amount based on his Max HP. With this, you do not need to heal him as much as the DPS or the team's support.

Ultimate Provides Party-Wide Shields

Gepard's Ultimate provides a shield to the entire party based on his DEF stat. These shields last for three turns, so his Ultimate can be used as soon as his Ultimate is ready.

Freeze Enemies Using Skill

Gepard's skill has a 65% base chance to freeze enemies, which can be improved to 100% after unlocking his first Eidolon.

Although he ideally should only use Basic ATKs to generate Skill Points for the team, it can come in as a crutch if you need to freeze an enemy before it does a dangerous attack!

Shield for All Allies Using Technique

Gepard's Technique allows him to give a shield to all of Gepard's allies at the start of a battle. Use Gepard's Technique whenever you can to mitigate some damage from the get-go!
