After through our crowded travels of a day
We are waiting for stillness of the night
And melting us into evening loneliness
Late afternoon light and a closer view of Upper Lake located in Peter Lougheed Provincial Park, Alberta, Canada. Thanks for stopping by and happy Tuesday.
I hadn't seen one of these for a long time so it was lovely to see this one near Lyme Regis Dorset yesterday.

Migrant Hawker (m) hovering in the breeze at Fen Drayton Lakes, Cambridgeshire
These dragons fly late into the season and whilst they are absolute canon-fodder for us photographers they must be a dream come true for a newly fledged hobby
Imagine, if you will, being a young falcon; just fledged from the nest. You've developed a taste for dragonflies (until now kindly supplied by your tireless parents) - but now you're faced with the unenviable task of catching some for yourself
...Heck! - flying in a straight line is challenging enough
Thankfully these migrant hawkers provide the perfect snack on the go, even being kind enough to hover long enough for the young hobbies to practice their targeting skills upon...and (thankfully) just long enough for us snappers to get a focus lock
These fanciful lines in the sand dunes of Namibia are never the same. Under the influence of the wind they take anytime other forms. The orange color is caused by iron particles in the sand. Truly a fascinating landscape!
peace to flow
into you as
sunshine flows
into trees.

I am extremely late at posting this year... being busy writing 4 genealogy books and finalizing them. The last one has been printed and picked it up today.... After 2-3 years of research and spending most of my spare time working hard on this project, I am very happy to finally have spare time to edit all those pictures I have taken during 2020...
This wild Little Owl sat in the evening sun for a while and allowed me to get some images.Stunning little birds and a first for me.
