EASILY DETECTED, by its loud alarm call, most vocal in spring, present in woodlands and easy to attract to the garden with peanut feeders, the Great Spotted, is doing fairly well with numbers unlike the Lesser Spotted and the Green that are in decline ! They can be quite trusting, and move towards you, but if you move to them, they are off ! A real joy to watch !

"WEAVE JESUS INTO YOUR LIFE !"......................"TODAY" !!!!!
A veces encontramos nuestro destino, por los caminos que tomamos para evitarlo /
Sometimes we find our destination by the ways we take to avoid it
DISTINCTIVE finch, resident all year round, and a familiar garden visitor, influxes from mainland Europe boost the numbers during the winter. At the feeders it often dominates and attempts to exclude other species.
Best viewed large.

DELIGHTFUL bird of wayside habitats, as above the male is colourful and distinctive, outside breeding season, linnets form flocks, and are resident all year round. This was seen on dead bramble, at the Ancient highway, Sandwich bay, Kent, U.K.
Failed to get a more attractive background on this one!

WEAVE JESUS INTO YOUR LIFE TODAY!!
This place is called "Reserva Botânica de Camabarinho" where you can find beautiful and rare flowers called "Loendros"
Light and shade. Beautiful lines. Sparkling snow. All this I found in the park of my city on a cold but sunny day.
"HOME GROWN GARDEN CAPTURE!" we seem to have so many juveniles in the garden, also Great tit, gold finch, chaffinch, H Sparrow, Green finch, dunnock, robin, Jackdore blackbird and ring necked parakeet..But to have them in your own nesting boxes makes them a wee bit more special, love just watching them all. taken today in the rain.

Vestrahorn is one of the most photographed mountains on the Island. Located on the Stokksnes peninsula, its steep slopes reaching a flat lagoon, small black sand dunes and tall grasses create a natural wonder.
We visited this location twice, on two consecutive days. On this particular day, we stayed past sunset and into the evening.
"I watched the waves crash in, breaking on the shore
All their anger disposed on the oceans floor."
It was a serene evening, we took time to look around to enjoy the beauty of Nature.
Thank you for your comments,
Gemma
sometimes i see a beautiful shaft of light and let go of the details. light itself is the subject. which leads to an interesting human metaphor: without knowing all the details—without knowing how things will work out—we can let our inner light shine. shine a light of hope, creativity, love, wisdom, courage, or compassion.
