The Rudra (ルドラ, Rudora?), also known as the Roc or Rukh, is a recurring creature in the Final Fantasy series, first appearing in Final Fantasy IV.

The Roc, also known as the Rukh, appears as an enemy encountered on the overworld near Eblan and Agart. It attacks twice per turn.
Final Fantasy IV: The After Years[]
The Rukh returns as an enemy encountered in Mysidia, Mythril, and Agart.

The Rukh returns as an enemy encountered on the overworld near Eblan.
Final Fantasy Dimensions[]
The Rukh appears as an enemy encountered on the world map near Rusalka, Aulë, and Mt. Falgabard. It attacks twice per turn and can hit all party members at once with Blight Wing. It is weak to wind.
Final Fantasy Dimensions II[]
Rukh appears as a water-elemental Eidolon available to Jornee as one of her default summons. It teaches her Blizzara abilities and uses the Ice Age attack when summoned.

The Rudra can be encountered as a regular enemy in the Lanzelt Highlands, as well as a boss on the Argus Plains and in the Colosseum.
Etymology[]
Rudra is a Rigvedic deity, associated with wind or storm, and the hunt. The name has been translated as "the roarer". In the Rigveda, Rudra has been praised as the "mightiest of the mighty".
