"Why do you keep resisting? Don't you understand that this is for all you mortals' sake? Mortals should have the freedom to live as they desire. The desires that mortals hide in their hearts!"
— Hearts to Universe 7 after utilizing his Gravity Finale in "The Ultimate Form"

Hearts (ハーツ Hātsu)[2] is a prominent character in Super Dragon Ball Heroes. Known as the God Hater, he seeks to liberate mortals from the stranglehold of the divine pantheon, especially Zeno. He is also the leader of the Core Area Warriors.

Hearts serves as the Universal Conflict Saga's main antagonist, before later allying himself with Goku during the New Space-Time War Saga to put a stop to the Crimson-Masked Saiyan's plans and collect the Dark Dragon Balls in order to escape from Fu's Pseudo Universe and take him down. During the Supreme Kai of Time Saga, a version of Hearts from a different history is a member of Team 5 for Aeos' Super Space-Time Tournament.

Appearance[]

Hearts is a tall, human-like humanoid man with red eyes, pointed ears and blonde hair (which he initially keeps slicked back). His skin is mostly pale, with a few yellow marks on the upper sides of his face. He wears a long black coat over a brown and yellow belt, yellow belt sash and red pants, in addition to red gloves and an orange glass visor with white frames, a type of choker with gold foil, a type of armor that completely covers his arms from wrist to shoulders and soft, tight-fitting toe boots bent upwards. He also has an X-shaped scar across his chest. After being defeated and sent to Hell, his appearance changes significantly: his hair is loose and disheveled, lacking any adornments he wore. He wears a dark-blue prison uniform with black boots with white tips similar to the one Trunks wore when he was imprisoned on the Prison Planet and gains a halo to signify his deceased state. Later during his time in the Pseudo Universe, Hearts begins wearing a crimson fur-collared trench coat with gold elements, and long black pants.

Personality[]

"Zeno could destroy the universe with a single thought. I just wanted to liberate you all from this lack of freedom - but you all shone and surpassed your limitations. That's why I've come to appreciate mortals."
— Hearts' last words in "Ultimate Conclusion! The Universal Conflict Ends!"

Similar to Fused Zamasu, Hearts is a self-righteous and arrogant individual, with a self-serving and all-consuming goal. He believes that the multiverse can only truly be free once the gods, including the Omni-Kings are killed. His defeat at Gogeta's hands shows a more benevolent view of this, as he ultimately reveals that he wanted to free mortal kind from the burden of divine superiority, such as the Omni-Kings erasing on a whim, showing his appreciation and love for mortal kind. This love for mortals and hatred of gods extended to his accomplice Fused Zamasu, who Hearts promptly (and happily) eliminated once he no longer had a need for him. He even extended an offer to Gogeta to take the Omni-Kings down together, showing he was willing to not only disregard divine allies but team up with enemies to achieve his goal (ironically, Gogeta was using a divine form at the time).

Hearts weeps for the people of Earth upon learning their simple desires

Although Hearts misguided beliefs and hypocrisy led to him killing countless people to achieve his goals, his intentions of freeing mortals from the gods did seem to be genuine, as he becomes saddened and even cries when he learns that the people of Earth do not crave freedom after hearing their thoughts.

Despite his values of mortal life, he has no qualms about attacking planets and killing countless people in order to free the remainder, viewing it all for the sake of being the multiverse's "nourishment". He openly admits and welcomes his hypocrisy with grace when confronted about it. At the same time, however, he does seem to value his mortal comrades, as he has saved them from being defeated whenever pressured by the enemy and after Kamin and Oren died, he promises that their deaths will not be in vain as he had completed the Universe Seed. He appears to have an affinity with Cumber, believing that he is an individual he can entrust his god-slaying ambition to (though Cumber could not care less).

Perhaps Hearts' most notable trait is his confidence. He is generally composed, not being unsettled by Vegeta and Future Trunks' unexpected appearances and keeping his plan as his main priority first and foremost. His confidence was seen as how Hearts willingly questioned Hit about the identity of the strongest mortal throughout the multiverse, and showed zero hesitation or doubts about facing off against Jiren upon learning his identity, however he can also acknowledge and respect his opponents' power as after being defeated by Jiren alongside Zamasu and Cumber in the game Hearts acknowledged that Jiren was worthy of being the strongest mortal in the universes, and in the manga he admitted that Jiren's power was greater than he thought and seemed impressed that Hit managed to find a counter to his mind reading and to land an attack on him. When learning of Ultra Instinct, he confidently desired to draw out its perfected form, and was excited by the prospect of fighting Gogeta Blue, implying that similar to fighters like Goku or Hit, he enjoys a challenging fight.

After being broken out of Hell by Demigra, Hearts is shown to be less pompous about his goals, if not having completely abandoned his plan to destroy the gods and is willing and ready to team up with Goku to escape the Pseudo Universe. Despite this, he retains many of his old sentiments towards divine beings, as he was noticeably sickened by Aeos when she revealed her plans for the Scrolls of Eternity and prepared to attack her. His fondness for mortals extends even further during the Super Space-Time Tournament, as he not only reprimanded Meta-Cooler upon him attempting to kill Vidro (who had given up her fight after Yamcha stopped Hit and Hearts from finishing her off), but even went as far as to physically restrain him with his Gravity Cage, despite both warriors being a part of Team 5. When Meta-Cooler brings up the fact that if they lose, their timeline will be erased, Hearts simply scoffs it off, telling him that although he has no intention of being erased, he also has no intention of killing any of the mortals, either.

Biography[]

Background[]

Not much is known about Hearts, but he became aware of Zeno and potentially other gods at some point, developing a hatred for the way they looked down upon mortals and erased realities at their whim. He evidently became powerful enough that Fu selected him as one of the warriors to be imprisoned in his Prison Planet's Core Area, becoming their leader.

Prison Planet Saga[]

Universe Disturbance

Hearts and his allies appear

In the anime, Hearts along with the other members of the Core Area Warriors make an appearance after the chains surrounding the Prison Planet have broken and the planet is on the verge of destruction. After Fused Zamasu retrieves Cumber's unconscious body, Hearts and the others teleport away.

Universal Conflict Saga[]

SDBHearts

Hearts tells Zamasu to be patient

Hearts appears along with Fused Zamasu and watches his allies, Oren and Kamin, battle against Vegeta and Future Trunks. Hearts tells Zamasu that they hadn't planned on dealing with those from Universe 7 until a later time and asks him to refrain from getting involved until after Zeno has been defeated. He then travels to Universe 6 along with Zamasu and unannounced to all on the battlefield, he attacks the Saiyans and Hit with a gravitational force that pins everyone to the ground. He tells Vegeta that he is the man that will take down Zeno and will use the Universe Seed to do so along with taking down the Gods of Destruction and the Supreme Kai.

SDBHA72

Hearts pins everyone to the ground

In a display of power, he creates a large transparent cube which he sends upwards into space and around a nearby planet before shrinking the cube to destroy it. He then creates additional cubes and places them above the Saiyans and Hit, ready to do the same to them but Oren and Kamin tell Hearts that they were in the middle of having fun fighting them causing Hearts to halt his attack. Hearts suggests heading towards the next Universe and asks Zamasu to come along with him though Zamasu tells Hearts not to order him around. Spotting Hit, Hearts asks him who is the strongest being in all of the Universes. Though Hit does not answer, Hearts is able to read his mind and determine that the answer is Jiren and decide to head to his Universe.

Hearts looks down on Goku

Hearts, having previously sent Cumber to try and deal with Jiren, notices his failure and increases the gravity on the Pride Trooper to stall him from attacking Cumber before teleporting the ancient Saiyan away to Universe 3. He then sends Oren, Kamin, and Fused Zamasu to attack, however, they fail to do any real damage. Later, Hearts makes note of Goku's arrival and wonders if he has become a true god after seeing his power. Hearts calls out to Lagss as he wishes to use her power and she soon appears surrounded by a barrier of pointed glass. Using his powers, Hearts sends the pointed end of the barrier towards Goku though he is able to destroy it thanks to his might in his Ultra Instinct Sign state.

Soon after Lagss battle with Goku and Trunks, Hearts tells her to move on to assist Cumber in Universe 3 as only she can do so. Hearts reads Goku's mind and notices that his previous Ultra Instinct Sign state was imperfect and vows to draw out its real power. Goku charges at Hearts but using his Gravity Burst, he pins Goku, Trunks and Vegeta to the ground with ease. After Shin appears on the battlefield and Goku teleports everyone away, Hearts makes plans to head for their next destination now that they have gathered enough energy from Universe 11. Jiren attempts to stop him but Hearts traps him in an Energy Cube to immobilize him.

Super Hearts

Hearts and his allies head to Universe 7 where they confront the Dragon Team once more. Goku targets Hearts and rushes at him but Hearts repeatedly slams him to the ground using his Gravity Burst technique. When the Universe Seed begins to shine, Hearts removes his jacket and powers himself up, entering into a stronger state before saying that the Universe Seed will soon be complete. Hearts and Goku begin fighting and he forces Goku back with a barrage of punches.

SDBH141

Hearts about to strike Goku

With little choice, Goku becomes a Super Saiyan Blue which makes the fight more evenly matched though the two acknowledge that neither is using their full power. When the fight commences again, Goku begins to gain an advantage and overwhelms Hearts with a Kamehameha. However, Hearts stands up and taunts Goku before using his Gravity powers on him. When Hearts uses his Gravity Fist technique, Goku is at a disadvantage as Hearts begins to power up further. Drawing the energy cubes towards himself, he charges at Goku and knocks him hard to the ground which causes him to fall out of Super Saiyan Blue. Hearts continues to torture and mock Goku, asking him if he can make the fight more exciting.

SDBH15-13

Hearts with the completed Universe Seed

His attention is turned away to notice that Kamioren is being overpowered and decides to give them more power. Using his energy cubes, he shrinks down the Universe Seed and has it merge with Kamioren which causes them to significantly power up and grow to giant size. Hearts watches as Goku fights Kamioren and transforms into his Perfected Ultra Instinct form, commenting that Goku has the power of a God. After Goku kills Kamioren, Hearts summons the Universe Seed towards him, saying that it is now in its completed state. Saying that Kamin and Oren's death will not be in vain, Hearts joins with the Universe Seed as a swarm of his energy cubes begin to draw towards him.

Hearts Ultimate Form 3

Ultimate Hearts

Once fully fused with the Universe Seed, he considers himself to be the Ultimate Godslayer. His first action is to disintegrate Fused Zamasu within an Energy Cube, putting the Kai's intentions to continue Project Zero Mortals to a destructive end, as Hearts wishes to destroy all of the gods, making Zamasu his first victim. He then demonstrates his power further by effortlessly completely demolishing the city below, with a single energy blast. As he turns his attention to the others, he uses the green orbs behind his back to attack them, zooming through the air as they encircle and enclose everyone into a limited space.

SDBH17-3

Hearts displays his new power

Ultimate Hearts dominates Goku, Vegeta, Future Trunks, Piccolo, Android 17, Jiren and Hit, taking them all down with a single blow. Even the duo of the two warriors coming from Universes 6 and 11 are pushed back, as well as Super Saiyan Blue Goku. After using the Gravity Finale technique that puts everyone down once again, Goku proposes to Vegeta to fuse since he does not know when he will be able to use Ultra Instinct again. The prince of the Saiyans accepts after a few seconds of refusal while the other warriors hold Hearts off long enough to buy them some time. Upon Gogeta confronting him, Hearts laughs at the fusion for thinking they have a chance at victory, while Gogeta voices his desire to have some fun with the imminent showdown.

SDBH 18-6

Hearts faces off against Gogeta

Hearts laughs off the idea of Gogeta and tells the others that they are in the way, easily taking them out with his Green Orbs. As Gogeta turns into a Super Saiyan Blue and approaches Hearts, the two begin fighting and Gogeta quickly establishes an upper hand in strength. In turn, Hearts powers up even further but he is not able to land an attack on his opponent. Impressed by Gogeta's power, Hearts asks Gogeta to join him in his goal to kill Zeno for mortal freedom, but Gogeta refuses his offer. Hearts then summons a God Meteor into Earth's atmosphere and amplifies it with his power. Immobilizing everyone else on the ground below, Hearts begins to send it crashing into them with only Gogeta standing in its way.

Gogeta destroys the Universe Seed in Hearts

Surprisingly enough, the fused warrior is able to hold back the meteor with a blast of his own, forcing Hearts to greatly empower his own attack to cause Gogeta to draw out more of his power in the form of an Limit Ultra Kamehameha. All seems to be at a standstill between the two warriors, until Hit and Jiren arrive to add their energy to Gogeta's Kamehameha, drastically increasing its power to the point where it crashes straight through the God Meteor and destroys it, leaving the other Z Fighters to blast the rubble. As Gogeta rushes him, Hearts questions if his fusees even had limits to begin with before powering up and charging. Both warriors land a hard punch to each other's face, Gogeta's causing Hearts' visor to shatter. Furious, the Godslayer tries to deal another blow to the fusion before Gogeta evades the punch and smashes his fist into the Universe Seed on Hearts' chest, blasting his divine energy straight through him, and defeating him once and for all.

Hearts Falls

Hearts's solemn defeat

As Hearts begins to fade, he smiles and reveals his true intentions for acquiring the Universe Seed to Gogeta - to liberate the world from the lack of freedom inadvertently enforced by Zeno's ability to wipe out universes with a single thought. He further reveals that it was through people like Goku and Vegeta and their limit-breaking power that Hearts found an appreciation for mortals, and with that final declaration, his body and the Universe Seed dissipate into light.

Universe Creation Saga[]

Hearts locked in a jail cell

The deceased Hearts is shown in Hell, smiling in his cell before he is located by Demigra. He is apparently released by him, as the next time he is seen, he is found next to Cumber's tank where he begins to smile when he sees the Universe Tree's glow.

New Space-Time War Saga[]

Heartsisback2

Hearts shows Goku his Halo

Hearts arrives in the Pseudo Universe, teaming up with Goku with the intention of taking down Fu, due to his selfishness in how he used the Universe Tree. The two take on the Dark Dragon Ball-fused Golden Frieza and Golden Meta-Cooler and find themselves overpowered until Broly suddenly arrives in the Space-Time and takes them both out. When the Crimson-Masked Saiyan makes his presence known to Goku and Hearts, Hearts asks if he is a follower of Fu's though he just gives a cryptic answer before leaving. Hearts gives a Senzu Bean to Goku so that he can heal his wounds from battle and upon seeing that the bean still has the same effect in the Pseudo Universe, Hearts next pulls out a Dragon Ball. Goku and Hearts decide to find the entire set and use them to escape back to their own world.

Using the Dragon Radar, Hearts and Goku journey to Planet Vegeta via Instant Transmission. There, Hearts sees his old comrade Cumber, noticing that he appears to be enjoying his freedom. Immediately afterwards the Crimson-Masked Saiyan appears before them. Goku, as a Super Saiyan Blue, and Hearts, in his Super Hearts state, face him but are swiftly defeated.

Just before the Crimson-Masked Saiyan destroys Planet Vegeta, Hearts, Cumber, Goku and Vegeta are transported to Earth thanks to Cell's Instant Transmission. Though Cell is currently allied with those who oppose the sinister Saiyan, Hearts reads his thoughts, knowing that Cell does not intend to peacefully return to Hell once their enemy has been dealt with but decides to keep it a secret between the two of them.

Hearts and Cumber

Hearts and Cumber take on Omega Shenron

Later, Hearts and Cumber arrive to take on the King of Destruction Omega Shenron. Hearts tells Goku that he has seen a glimpse of his heart and that Goku had battled him previously in another dimension. Hearts urges Goku and Vegeta to quickly take down the Crimson-Masked Saiyan and jumps into battle, taking on his Super Hearts state though the battle ends abruptly when Omega Shenron vanishes upon the Crimson-Masked Saiyan's defeat.

SDBH 39 01

Hearts and Cumber

The two are transported to the Crack of Time, just as a rampaging Super Full Power Saiyan 4 Limit Breaker Broly appears and sets his sights on Goku. Broly fires an energy blast towards him, but the blast is deflected thanks to the timely arrival of Hearts and Cumber. On Hearts' command, Cumber engages Broly in battle, who demonstrates his power by kicking Cumber into the Universe Tree. Hearts, feeling pumped up himself, transforms into Super Hearts and joins the battle.

After Goku defeats Fu, Hearts appears to ask Goku if he has beaten him, and Goku says that he thinks he has. In turn, he asks about Broly, with Hearts replying that Broly has vanished.

Supreme Kai of Time Saga[]

A version of Hearts from another history, though one who had shared much of the same circumstances, appears as one of the competitors in the Super Space-Time Tournament as a member of Team 5. In the manga, Hearts is walking through the forest while tossing cubes in the air.[3] His team makes it through to the second round where he, along with a few others, face off against Vidro who, like his ally Lagss, is part of the Glass Tribe. The tournament however is eventually hijacked by Demigra and upon his defeat is called to an abrupt end. Hearts then plans to take out both Chronoa and Aeos due to being in an exhausted state and still holding a grudge against the Gods but decides against it after Hit tells him that the others will not just sit by and let it happen.

Demon Invader Saga[]

In the manga, in Hell, Hearts is approached by Majin Ozotto where he is eaten by him.[4] However, having read his intent, Hearts puts up a barrier around himself, voiding him from becoming absorbed and allowing him to travel freely in the confines of Ozotto's stomach where he seeks out and eventually rescues Lagss who had previously been devoured back on Earth. He and Lagss then rescue exhausted Goku, Vegeta, and Gohan from a horde of Ozotto clones and tells them how to escape from Ozotto's body. When Gohan thanks him for his assistance mentions remembering him from the Super Space-Time Tournament, Hearts doesn't understand what he is referring to, leading Goku to understand that that Hearts was from another history.[5] After Vegeta shatters space-time to open a hole, Hearts carry the unconscious Vegeta over his shoulder as everyone escapes Ozotto's Palace.[6]

After escaping Ozotto's Palace, Hearts and the others see the giant form of Ozotto determines that he is in fact sleeping. However, dozens of Ozotto clones suddenly appear with many of them transforming into familiar villainous faces. Hearts and the group prepare to fight the Ozotto's clones. He and Krillin team up to take down a trio of Ozotto's under the guise of South, West, and North Supreme Kais. When giant Ozotto wakes up and attempts to absorb everyone again, Hearts and Lagss encase Goku and Xeno Goku in a combined Glass Gravity Cage, saving them from being absorbed along with the others.[7] Inside Ozotto's body, Hearts and Lagss, along with the Time Patrol, have set free all of those with regenerative abilities, thus robbing Ozotto of that ability in turn. After Goku defeats Ozotto, Hearts and the others, except the Time Patrol, are sent back to their rightful history by Shenron.[8]

In the anime, Hearts and Lagss come across an exhausted Goku and Vegeta and rescue them from a horde of Ozotto clones before telling them how to escape from Ozotto's body. After Vegeta shatters space-time to open a hole,[9] Hearts, Lagss, and everyone else are freed from the Ozotto's Palace. After Goku defeats Ozotto, Hearts and the others are sent back to their Space-Time by Super Shenron.[10]

Power[]

Manga

Hearts easily overwhelms Hit, whose Time-Skip proves ineffectual against him. Thanks to his mind reading, Hearts is able to dodge a series of blows by Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta. He then dodges a kick from Dyspo and traps his leg in an energy cube.

Later, when Goku faces Hearts he transforms into a Super Saiyan God to battle the foe, Hearts is unable to hit Goku with his barrage of thin beams, however the fight is soon interrupted by Cumber. Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta is able to break Hearts' cube shield, however Hearts manages to escape before Vegeta can continue his attack.

When challenged by Goku and Vegeta in their Super Saiyan Blue forms, Hearts dodges their initial assault and despite being able of foreseeing their attacks opts to transform into Super Hearts, at which point he easily defeats the duo with his Energy Cubes, however the cubes are easily broken by Jiren. He takes damage from a blow from Hit that he does not see coming after the assassin found a counter to Hearts' mind reading ability, and Jiren knocks back Super Hearts with a punch after escaping from the energy cube he was trapped in - prompting Lagss to shield him.

Hearts then uses the completed Universe Seed in order to transform into his Ultimate Form, and faces off against the combined force of Jiren, Hit and Goku and Vegeta in their Super Saiyan Blue forms, he also broke free of Hit's Time Prison in an instant, though Jiren's Super Full Power was able to hold off Perfect Hearts' gravity powers for long enough that Goku and Vegeta could fuse. Perfect Hearts goes on to fight Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta but is defeated when the fused warriors push him into his own God Meteor with an Ultimate Kamehameha - destroying him from the force of the two attacks. Gogeta doubts Perfect Hearts could kill Zeno with the power he possesses.

Anime

When first appearing, he quickly downed Super Saiyan Vegeta and Future Trunks, Hit, Caulifla, Kale, and Cabba simultaneously with Gravity Burst (albeit they were all tired/battered from their previous fight). He then demonstrated his power to instantly destroy a nearby planet. He was also powerful enough to restrain Jiren when he caught him off guard with an increase in gravity to halt his battle with Cumber.

After seeing Goku's Ultra Instinct Sign power and learning that it was incomplete, Hearts expressed his desire to see the completed form, wishing to beat Goku at his best, deliberately trying to draw it out of Goku. He is strong enough to restrain Super Saiyan Goku, Super Saiyan Future Trunks, and Super Saiyan God SS Evolved Vegeta with Gravity Burst and restrained Jiren within an energy cube when the later tried to attack him.

With his transformation as Super Hearts, he easily maintained a fierce offense on Super Saiyan Goku, pushing him back with a barrage of blows so rapidly Goku could not find any openings to fight back. Once Goku decided to turn Super Saiyan Blue, Super Hearts could still fight evenly against Goku, even able to gain the edge over him in their first round of fighting. Although he was overpowered by Goku when they fought again, Hearts still took only minor damage from all of Goku's attacks, which included a barrage of melee attacks and a powerful Kamehameha that sent him flying through the city with devastating force that upturned all in its path, even able to casually wipe off the dirt from his clothes, and proceeded to successfully pull and paralyze Goku long enough to power-up more from the Universe Seed, after which he quickly defeated Goku with Gravity Fist, knocking him out of Super Saiyan Blue with a single hit.

After becoming Ultimate Hearts, his power seems to vastly exceed the assembled foes, as a shockwave from his creation forces Fused Zamasu, base Goku, Hit, and even Jiren back all at once. He is able to effortlessly erase Fused Zamasu from existence, along with destroying an entire city in the blink of an eye. His power was such that the Grand Minister reacted with surprise upon sensing his presence all the way from Zeno's Palace. He easily dominated and badly injured Jiren, Hit, Piccolo, Future Trunks, Android 17, Goku and Vegeta with multiple powerful attacks that they were completely unable to retaliate against and proceeded to casually fight Hit, Jiren, Piccolo, Future Trunks and Android 17 in hand-to-hand combat without breaking a sweat before pushing them aside. His power deemed to be great enough to destroy the entire universe, Goku and Vegeta even decided to fuse into Gogeta to counter him. With his ultimate form Hearts proved to be able to go up against Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta, with Gogeta having to power up to overpower his guard and punch him and opting to dodge or counter his attacks, indicating they would have been able to damage Gogeta, but was still outclassed as Gogeta expertly repelled all of Hearts attacks and landed punishing blows, though he was quick to rebound from Gogeta's assaults and deflected energy blasts from him and was shown to be able to clash with him for a moment before falling to Gogeta's feint. Upon unleashing God Meteor, simultaneously pinning down Universe 7's defenders, Jiren and Hit to the point Jiren stated that the power Hearts was using could crush Earth, Hearts forced Gogeta to power up and charge a tremendously large Big Bang Attack to stop his meteor and after powering up to his maximum, Hearts' God Meteor proved too much for Gogeta's initial efforts and even pressured Gogeta using Limit Ultra Kamehameha, with the fused warrior only overpowering the attack with Jiren and Hit's help. Afterwards, Hearts went on to fight Gogeta in close combat but was swiftly defeated by the fused warrior, who, powered up to the maximum, managed to shrug off Hearts' blow while Hearts in turn was damaged (his glasses shattering), followed by Gogeta destroying the Universe Seed with a single super-charged blow.

Statements by guidebooks and authors

Super Hearts can fight evenly with Super Saiyan Blue Goku.[11]

Video Games

In Dragon Ball Heroes, after finding out about Jiren by reading Hit's mind, Hearts wonders who is stronger between himself and Jiren. Upon finding that he cannot defeat Super Full Power Jiren even with help from Super Saiyan 3 Full Power Cumber and Fused Zamasu, Hearts notes that Jiren is worthy of being known as the strongest in all the universes.

Super Hearts and Super Saiyan 3 Cumber together are at a disadvantage when up against Goku, Jiren, Hit and Golden Meta-Cooler.

Perfect Hearts claims that he and Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta could defeat Zeno if they joined forces.

Abilities[]

  • Flight - The ability to fly using ki.
  • Ki Blast - The most basic form of an energy attack.
  • Heart Reading[12] - Hearts can read one's thoughts. He uses this ability to keep track of the other Core Area Warriors, and also on Hit to find out who the multiverse's strongest warrior was. He also uses it to foresee his opponents' attacks, allowing him to easily dodge or counter their attacks such as Hit's Time-Skip attacks. However, this ability is not flawless as Hit was later able of finding a counter by thinking of an attack before switching to another one while skipping time.
  • Teleportation - Hearts possesses the ability to teleport himself and others, even between other universes.
Hearts gravity

Hearts amplifies the gravity on a target

  • Gravity Manipulation - Hearts possess gravity manipulating abilities. When amplifying the gravity in an area he surrounds himself with a purple aura and his hands glow with gold energy and aims his hand at the selected area.
    • Gravity Cage - Hearts is able to create gravity cubes which contain several hundred times Earth's gravity and amplify any shock taken from outside the cage by just as much. Due to the force of the gravity anything trapped inside them for long enough is likely to be annihilated and their energy is then transferred to the Universe Seed. The cubes can be made to be larger than an entire planet. As Ultimate Hearts, Hearts becomes capable of even wiping out immortals using his Gravity Cages.
      • Gravity Burst - Hearts traps the foe in a Gravity Cage and then amplifies it to damage his foe.
      • Continuous Energy Bullet - Hearts is able to create energy cubes which transform into thin homing energy beams.
      • Energy Shield - Hearts is able to use create a large energy cube as a shield.
      • Gravity Finale - Hearts barrages his foes with numerous Gravity Cages from below, which all join in the sky to form a massive golden Gravity Cage which crashes down upon his foe.
    • Gravity Fist - A power-up used by Super Hearts where he surrounds himself with energy cubes and a purple aura. When his aura is not active only his arms and legs are surrounded by energy and cubes. Super Hearts charges his foe and smashes them into the ground with a heavy blow.
    • Gravity Sphere - As Ultimate Hearts, Hearts is able to utilize the green orbs he gained with the form to attack foes. He can spin these orbs around his vicinity at such speed that they are invisible to opponents who are not aware they are there, creating a seemingly impenetrable wall.
  • Telekinesis - Hearts is able to halt energy blasts with telekinesis, allowing him to punch them back at foes.
  • Full Power Energy Wave - Hearts is able to fire a large purple energy blast.
  • Erase - As Ultimate Hearts, Hearts is able to erase others from existence, even an immortal. Used in the game version of the Universal Conflict Saga to wipe out Fused Zamasu.
  • God Meteor - A massive meteor summoned from the sky which crashes down onto the battlefield. It appears in Heroes as a CAA Special Ability, used by Super Hearts during his boss fight with Ultimate Kamioren and by Perfect Hearts as a playable character. In the Heroes anime and manga, this is Hearts' most powerful attack in his Ultimate Form.
  • Universe Seed Full Power - Ultimate Hearts unleashes the full might of the Universe Seed, increasing his already tremendous power and abilities.

Super Hearts

Hearts possesses a transformation which he takes on upon revealing his true power.[11] In this form he is known as Super Hearts. Visually, it appears similar to a Super Saiyan in that it causes Hearts' hair to spike up and gives him a unique, shadowy-purple aura. Hearts discards his coat upon taking this transformation. In the anime he is able to match Super Saiyan Blue Goku blow for blow, even overpowering him as their match drags on while in the manga, he is able to outmatch both Goku and Vegeta in their Super Saiyan Blue forms at the same time.

In the anime, after being broken out of hell by Demigra, Super Hearts aura is different from before, now being a golden aura much like that of his Ultimate Form, though with a more jagged shape.

Ultimate Hearts

When Super Hearts absorbs the Universe Seed in its true form he achieves his Ultimate Form and becomes known as Perfect Hearts,[13] and considers himself to be the Ultimate Godslayer (きゅうきょくかみごろ Kyūkyoku no kamigoroshi).[14] Upon taking this form, Hearts' hair turns silver and appears to flow backwards, his armaments are discarded, and his entire body is shrouded in an intense golden hue. He gains six luminescent spikes on his back (not too dissimilar to Syn Shenron) and a swarm of explosive green orbs around him, including a clearer orb in his chest. As Ultimate Hearts, Hearts' abilities are so great that he is able to overpower the gathered universal fighters (including Jiren) and wipe out the immortal Fused Zamasu without displaying any significant effort.

  • Hearts' energy cubes may be a reference to Ophiel's embodied weapon in Phantasy Star Online 2 as both characters are voiced by Takehito Koyasu.[15]
  • Hearts shares the same voice actor as Dio Brando from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
