Marvel's Inhumans (or simply Inhumans) is an American television series developed for ABC by Scott Buck (who also produced Marvel's Iron Fist) and is based on the superhero team of the same name. It is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), sharing continuity with the films and television series of the franchise. The series is produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios and the IMAX Corporation.[2]
The series' first two episodes were filmed entirely in IMAX cameras and was the first series to be filmed as such.[3] The first two episodes screened in several IMAX theaters across the United States for two weeks starting on September 1, 2017.[4] The rest of the series aired on ABC starting on September 29[1] and ending on November 10, 2017. Some select scenes for the rest of the episodes are shot in IMAX.
The series is not intended to be a reworking of the still planned film of the same name nor meant to be a spin-off of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
The show only lasted for one season and was cancelled on May 11, 2018 due to its negative critical reception and lackluster viewership.
