Loading Screens offer a myriad of hints, tips, and reminders to help players in their journey. Some of the information is not included in the game's tutorials.

  • Keeper's Shrine:Come to this humble shrine, shabby but dear. Visit often, you won't regret it here.
  • Rest at Keeper's Shrine:"To rest and breathe is to embrace the essence of the earth." Rest at Keeper's Shrine, as your wounds and weariness are diminished.
  • Rest at Keeper's Shrine:Resting at Keeper's Shrine can draw upon energy across the cosmos. It stirs the cosmic will and rouses yaoguais from their hideouts.
  • Travel at Keeper's Shrine:Across the land, in but an instant, To places afar, a journey distant.
  • Stamina:Fierce moves and swift dodges—they all consume your Stamina. Once exhausted, it hinders your prowess, leaving you drained and weary. Be prudent in its use to unleash your full potential.
  • Will:The cosmos begets life, and life begets Will. This amorphous essence delights all and serves as a currency across realms.
  • Gather:The wild is abound with wondrous flora and herbs. Gather them, for their future use awaits.
  • Resurrection:Offer a strand of hair to house your soul in the Keeper's Shrine. If misfortune befalls, resurrection awaits at the nearest shrine, where the soul shall be revived.
  • Self-Advance at Keeper's Shrine:To alter your Abilities and Spells, special rites must be performed. Only within the confines of Keeper's Shrine can you master these rites.
  • Portraits:Someone has documented the various beings encountered by the Destined One, capturing their portraits, names, and intriguing anecdotes.
  • Incense Trail Talisman:The journey westward stretches far, O'er towering peaks and waters dire. Keep the Trail Talisman near, For it brings you back from mire.
  • Experience:Cultivation is a prolonged journey. Accumulate Experience to increase your Level, thereby igniting your innate spiritual sparks and unlocking more Abilities and Spells.
  • Reignite the Sparks:At the Keeper's Shrine, you can retrain your Talents. All Sparks can be returned, so worry not and enjoy peace of mind.
  • Keeper's Store:Different places have their own local specialities and materials. Why not take the opportunity to trade and make the most of your visit?
  • Resurrect:Offer a strand of hair to house your soul in the Keeper's Shrine. If misfortune befalls, resurrection awaits at the nearest shrine, where the soul shall be revived.
  • Soul Banner:Newly deceased souls have not yet been taken by the soul-reapers. If guided by a Soul Banner, these souls can be summoned back to their former place, allowing them to be resurrected.
  • Drinks:Take a sip from your gourd to soothe your physical wounds. At the Keeper's Shrine, the Keeper will refill your gourd, preparing you for the journey ahead.
  • Soak:At the Keeper's Shrine, you can place the rare treasures you find into your gourd. When you drink from the gourd later, they will add up to the effects.
  • Gourds:Different gourds hold varying amounts of wine. Some gourds are mystical treasures themselves, offering unique benefits.
  • Armor Upgrade:At the workbench of Yin Tiger, one may cast precious materials, tempering and crafting armor to enhance its tier and quality. Once the armor ascends in tier, it becomes more sturdy and enduring, and may even take on a more splendid and wondrous form.
  • Abilities and Spells:Abilities strengthen your build, and Spells better your tactics. The journey requires its traveler to be prepared with both.
  • Make Medicines:The herbs and fungi you gathered along the mountain paths are all essential medicine ingredients. Certain medicines necessitate a formula to be made, a secret that may reveal itself through your exploration.
  • Meditate:In this picturesque place, meditation spots stop monks and daoists. With eyes closed and legs crossed, they sit in stillness, hoping for a spark of enlightenment.
  • Cultivation:Deliver the seeds left by yaoguais to Chen Loong, requesting he plants them in the soil of the Painted Realm. In due course, you will be able to harvest the corresponding ingredients.
  • Six Relics:"The Sage Stone Monkey, master of transformations, heeds the seasons' call, grasps the earth's law, and shifts the stars' own course." Having obtained the Great Sage's Relics, why not awaken his talents?
  • Will-o'-the-Wisp:Decayed husks, flickering flames. After living beings perish, their lingering wills roam the wilderness, occasionally coalescing into forms. With the guidance of a wise master, you can learn the art of absorption and harness them for your own use.
  • Spirits:After being blessed, the gourds can be used to absorb the spirits of defeated yaoguais. Incorporating them allows you to unleash Spirit Skills, harnessing their signature moves.
  • Qi:Both Transformations and Vessels require Qi to activate. The fiercer you fight against your enemy, the faster Qi will recover.
  • Ruyi Scroll:A scroll gifted by Chen Loong that leads to a secluded and tranquil retreat. Hidden in mountain villages, resting high among pines, this is the abode of the Immortals. Feel free to visit often.
  • Obsession:Obsession, a remnant of worldly ties, transforms the unfinished aspirations into spaces both tangible and ethereal, real and illusory. Through certain objects, one can navigate these spaces, engaging with the past and future, and perhaps gaining even more.
  • Perfect Dodge:Dodge the incoming enemy attack when it is just about to hit you! A well-timed Dodge can build up more Focus.
  • Light Attack:The Light Attack Combo consists of multiple, consecutive attacks. Besides being an effective damage dealer, it is also a good option for building up Focus. After learning certain Talents, the Light Attack Combo will not be interrupted even if you Dodge between the moves.
  • Heavy Attack:A Heavy Attack is a powerful, single-hit move. You can also consume Focus to launch an all-out strike, dealing higher Damage while staggering the target. Higher Focus Points will significantly enhance the Heavy Attack's impact.
  • ChargingHold Heavy Attack to start charging. It consumes your Stamina to quickly build up Focus.
  • Build Up FocusHitting, Charging, and Perfect Dodging can all build up Focus. Rumor has it that certain herbal medicines also grant Focus. In times of peril, it can't hurt to try.
  • Varied Combo:Launching Heavy Attack amidst Light Attack Combo unleashes Varied Combo. You may follow up with a second move if the first move of Varied Combo lands on the enemy. Varied Combos cost 1 Focus Point.
  • Smash Stance:In Smash Stance, you can charge Heavy Attacks while running. This versatility makes it one of the best options when you need to stay vigilant around the enemy.
  • Smash Stance Varied Combo:In Smash Stance, launching Heavy Attack during Light Attack Combo consumes a Focus Point and performs a distinctive Varied Combo. If the enemy happens to attack you at this instant, this Varied Combo allows you to see through them and nullify it.
  • Pillar Stance:In Pillar Stance, you can climb to the top of the staff by charging a Heavy Attack. This move allows you to Dodge ground attacks and launch a large-area counter attack. Great in both offense and defense.
  • Pillar Stance Varied Combo:In Pillar Stance, launching Heavy Attack during Light Attack Combo consumes a Focus Point and performs a distinctive Varied Combo. This Varied Combo has the capability to strike all nearby enemies at once, proving particularly useful when you find yourself encircled by foes.
  • Thrust Stance:In Thrust Stance, you must stay in the same spot while charging Heavy Attacks. It launches a thrusting attack from a longer distance, and can effectively counter attacks that come directly at you. A safe yet effective move.
  • Thrust Stance Varied Combo:In Thrust Stance, launching Heavy Attack during Light Attack Combo consumes a Focus Point and performs a distinctive Varied Combo. This Varied Combo allows you to withdraw from the combat, seeking offense from defense.
  • Four Banes:In this world, Four Banes hold sway: Thunder, Scorch, Frost and Poison. When their gauges max out, corresponding damage will be taken. Fortify your resistance against the Four Banes to bolster your resilience.
  • Frost:Frost will cause the Frost gauge to build up. When maxed out, you will be in a Chilled state, rigid, and suffer frostbite. If shattered by an enemy, you'll take extra damage. Rolling (Dodging) or struggling can help you break free faster.
  • Poison:Being exposed to Poison will cause the Poison gauge to build up. When the gauge is maxed out, you will be in a Poison state, causing internal distress and continuous Health loss. Using specific antidote pills can detoxify you and save your life.
  • Falling:You will take damage if you fall from a great height. Dodge while landing to reduce the damage taken. Be aware that a severe fall will still take your life regardless.
  • Spells:In spells there are wonders and magic so grand, Foes vanquished and lives saved in the palm of your hand. When challenges arise, let thy mind expand, For mere brute force may not always withstand.
  • Shield Break:Enemies with shields can use them to block regular attacks. Shattering the enemy's shield will make them vulnerable and staggered temporarily. Certain Spells may also do wonders.
  • Immobilize:Immobilizes the enemy, creating an opportune moment for an attack. When the enemy unleashes a powerful move that is difficult to dodge, it can also cleverly thwart the imminent danger.
  • Cloud Step:Master the art of timing to release your Unveiling Strike, for its potency can falter if unleashed carelessly.
  • Rock Solid:Beware the fierce assaults of larger adversaries, as they pose a threat to shatter your Rock Solid.
  • Ring of Fire:Once Ring of Fire is cast, the ring will remain active until the Spell dissipates. Even if you step out it momentarily, it will still grant benefits upon your return.
  • A Pluck of Many:When you summon Duplicates, caution is advised; They possess a delicate vitality and may be subdued by fierce opposition.
  • Thunder:Being struck by Thunder attacks will cause the Thunder gauge to build up. When the gauge is maxed out, you will be in a Shocked state, with weakened bones and numbed muscles, increasing the damage received. Consume shock-appeasing medicines to relieve its effects.
  • Life-Saving Strand:When encountering formidable adversaries that bar your path, and when failure casts its shadow over your quest, this spell may be your key to triumph. In moments dire, it shall emerge unbidden.
  • Spell Binder:Even with wondrous Spells learnt, the Destined One may yet confront formidable foes impervious to such magic. In such instances, binding Spells voluntarily and returning to the simplicity of staff combat could be a wise choice.
  • Four Banes Resistance:Resistance to Shock, Burn, Chill, and Poison can enhance your ability to withstand Thunder, Scorch, Frost, and Poison Damage, reducing the damage taken when in these states.
  • Scorch:Suffering from Scorch builds up on the Scorch gauge. When the gauge is maxed out, you will be in a Burnt state, leading to continuous health loss. Roll (dodge) on the ground multiple times to extinguish the fire, or roll into water or snow for an immediate effect.
  • Yaoguai King: Elder Jinchi:Alas, this old monk, so unwise, His years brought neither truth nor prize. Guangzhi and Guangmou led him wrong, 'Twas his greed sung his eulogy song.
  • Yaoguai King: Lingxuzi:"Wukong lifted the daoist to have a closer look, only to find it was a gray wolf. Beside it, there was a plate with an inscription that read 'Crafted by Lingxuzi.'"
