Vacation Fun is a special Mickey Mouse short shown at Disney's Hollywood Studios, replacing Star Wars: Path of the Jedi in a theater now rebranded as the Mickey Shorts Theater. Opening in conjunction with the ride Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway, it is primarily a clip show.
Summary[]
As Mickey and Minnie prepare for a Walt Disney World Resort vacation (presumably a work-based vacation), Mickey frets over last minute packing decisions while reminiscing about previous adventures around the world.
Featured episodes and their set-ups include:
- Panda-monium - When Mickey finds his camera. After the clip plays, the Panda appears in Mickey's house to steal the camera.
- Couple Sweaters - When Mickey finds the sweater in his closet, wondering if he needs it, before deciding to throw it in the fireplace.
- Potatoland - Goofy arrives bringing a load of Potatoland hats, shirts and potatoes in case Mickey decides to visit Potatoland again. Mickey again throws the bundle into the fireplace, causing a giant fireball to erupt from his chimney.
After finding his passport, Mickey remembers several international adventures including:
- Croissant de Triomphe
- Entombed
- Dumb Luck (leprechaun scene being used to represent Ireland)
- Al Rojo Vivo
- Yodelberg
- Outback at Ya!
Eventually he regrets it and throws it in the fireplace once more. Realizing he's running late, Mickey quickly loads up his car with too much luggage and goes to pick up Minnie to begin their roadtrip to Florida. When arriving at the main entrance to the Magic Kingdom however, they realize that they left Pluto behind. Fortunately, Mickey is able to bring Pluto to the park by reaching through a postman's letter and the three begin to enjoy their Vacation Fun.
