Redwing is a character from Marvel Comics who has made appearances in various Marvel related media. Within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he is a drone that is attached to the suit of Sam Wilson, while other adaptations depict him as that of a real red feathered bird.
Within the MCU, Redwing is a drone that was created by Tony Stark with input by Sam Wilson. He is attached to Wilson's pack and detaches and flies around for surveillance. He is implied to have some level of AI awareness as Wilson asked Natasha Romanoff to pet him after a job well done.
Redwing appears in the episode "The Devil You Know". He can talk and is part of a support group called Action Buddies Confidential along with Toothgnasher, Aragorn, and Pebble. He explains that he left his superhero because he supposedly did not trust revealing his identity to him, concerning Redwing into thinking his hero's name was "Jerry". They welcome Devil Dinosaur into their ranks and proceed to go around town causing a ruckus. Devil eventually turns on them when Pebble leads the group into attacking his owner Granite's base and they fight. When Granite returns, he clears everything up between Pebble and they resume being partners again. He confirms that the same thing happened with Aragorn and Redwing, but not Toothgnasher. Redwing's superhero was in a superhero protection program and his real name was actually "Rodney". He happily calls his hero back.

The reason for the change from a real bird to a drone in the MCU is most likely to ground the character of Falcon as he was psychically attached to him after interacting with the Cosmic Cube.
