Synopsis[]
Follows the lives of a group of firefighters with one in particular reminiscing on his past as he is trapped in a burning building while his fellow firefighters attempt to rescue him.

Trivia[]
- Joaquin Phoenix trained with actual firefighters where he was given the nickname "Hollywood". After completion, they started calling him by his real name. Phoenix is now an honorary member.
- The film is set in Baltimore, but was originally going to be set in New York City. This was changed following 9/11.
