"Birthday Besties" is the second segment of the seventh episode of the Disney Channel animated series Hamster & Gretel.
Synopsis[]
Gretel has her hands full at Bailey's birthday party.
Plot[]
Gretel is excited that it is Bailey's birthday, but she worries the festivities could go awry when she learns that someone has been destroying children's birthday parties recently. Hamster, Kevin and Gretel must keep their eyes open for the culprit. They initially suspect a clown, but he turns out to be putting on an angry clown act. When Hamster and Gretel enter the bounce house in search of the true culprit however, they are trapped. The bounce house reveals himself to be sentient as a result of the aliens that gave Hamster and Gretel their superpowers mistakenly bestowing him with powers intended for two children.
Kevin attempts to deflate the bounce house, but he holds his breath. Gretel then suggests that Kevin make the bounce house laugh, which proves to be easier said than done when the clown is revealed to be inept at comedy. Shenanigans ensue when Kevin gets an oxygen tank caught down his shirt, making a mess of the party as he flies around. The cake then hits him in the face, which makes the bounce house laugh, freeing Hamster and Gretel.
Inside the house, Gretel apologizes to Bailey―who spent the whole party opening a series of boxes inside boxes to keep her preoccupied during the search for the party pooper―for her party being ruined, but Bailey proclaims that she enjoyed her party because she got to spend it with her best friend, although she is disappointed she did not get to see Hamster and Gretel. This quickly changes when Hamster and Gretel briefly appear in their superhero personas.
