- “For a device that appears to have but a single purpose--violent vibration--this thing has far too many buttons.”
- —Sticker Museum plaque, Paper Mario: Sticker Star
The Cell Phone (known as the Mobile Phone in British English) is a Thing in Paper Mario: Sticker Star. It is the weakest of the quake-based Things and is found behind the Secret Door at Snow Rise. The Secret Door outline is found to the left of the massive central slope. It remains in Mario's Album until it is turned into a sticker at a Sling-a-Thing station. Once it has been used as a sticker, it returns to its original position. It may also be purchased from the Shady Toad for 100 coins and sold as a sticker for 20 coins. The text underneath the screen says "Mario".
As a sticker, the Cell Phone takes up one square in the Album. When it is used in battle, the Cell Phone drops onto the ground and begins to vibrate. After the third vibration, the Cell Phone causes a quake that damages all grounded enemies each time it vibrates. It also approaches the screen and drops out of the frame after seven total vibrations. The player can repeatedly press when the Cell Phone begins to vibrate to increase the damage dealt.
The Cell Phone can be placed in the Sticker Museum as #33, alongside the Jackhammer and the ball-based Things.
