Dinner and reading about a hard day of work.
Dinner and book mail. 👯👯
Tin Man and beef wellington Sunday. 📚
This was an interesting read. I learned more about the history of hip hop and the businesses that the 3 Kings 👑 have masterminded is impressive. 🎙🎧🎼
Went antique shopping and stumbled upon a beautiful bookstore inside one of the shops.
Who could ask for a better Monday?!? 📚🥂🍾
Our family is sending hugs 🤗 and love ❤️. This is Notorious Smalls in her sailor suit.
Diving into this one on a rainy afternoon ☔️
Not sure what I‘m going to start reading this week but I‘m already looking forward to the weekend! Hope everyone‘s week is off to a good start. 🤗❤️📚
Happy Friday, Littens! 👯
“On a scale of One to Betty Ford Blackout, his level of drunk was, say, Half-Finished Martini Glass at Liza Minelli‘s.” 😂
Back to muffins and short stories on this relaxing Sunday.
Did anyone else have a hard time getting into this book? I think it‘s an important story to tell but I‘m not loving it. I appreciate it but it isn‘t moving me.
Did anyone else see The Stand announcement today? 😂😂😂https://www.strandbooks.com/strindle?utm_source=Strand+Newsletter&utm_campaign=3d8dd69b2c-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2018_03_29&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_94fd8572f3-3d8dd69b2c-191535849&mc_cid=3d8dd69b2c&mc_eid=21764053cb
In this book, Caitlin Doughty, visits different locations around the world to explore grieving and burial practices of other cultures. Although, I enjoyed her first book more, this was an interesting and insightful read.
This book details a life of living in RVs, vans and campers after the age of retirement, (although it does include stories of some that are younger) and working low wage, very labor intensive seasonal jobs. The book introduced me to a subculture I didn't know existed. It makes me cringe to think of anyone being forced to work and live in that capacity for survival. 💔 Corporations should pay everyone a livable wage not a minimum wage!
Current situation: Reading, while sitting on top of a trunk full of books, drinking turmeric lattè, and listening to the birds outside. It's a beautiful Sunday. ???
This book is the second in the series. I ❤️it. I now know Mrs. Madrigal's secret and it's exactly what I wanted it to be. I have enjoyed Maupin's witty humor and will start the third book next week. Can't wait to see what else this cast of characters will get into next. 📚
Time to kick off the weekend. Moretti was checking out the book mail until she got distracted looking out the window. Happy Friday! 🐾📚💃🏻
@TricksyTails sorry to hear you are having a bad day. I hope Moretti's Popeye muscles make you smile. This was her Halloween outfit. 🤗#letsmaketricksysmile
The second book in the series has arrived!💃🏻👯
This book is definitely a pick! I assume this book was a progressive read when it was released but I found it just as fascinating reading it today. So many interesting characters that kept me engrossed in every page. I've already ordered the second book and I am looking forward to finding out more about Mrs. Madrigal's past and what may happen next on Barbary Lane.
