pickWhat could have been really heavy and difficult to read is actually made palatable with Greene‘s beautiful writing and a cast of memorable characters—who are all playing “roles” or comedians with each other. It had a lighter feeling even though the history of Haiti shown here is horrible.
My favorite book, by my favorite author. The new Folio Society edition is the prize of my bookshelf.
