It was obviously love at first sight with the cover of the tagged and then the first page had me absolutely hooked!
panI just didn't get it. This was ... boring, to be honest. It was supposed to say something honest about middle aged women (🙋🏼♀️) and it let me down.
Just my two cents.
pickA slow burn that held my attention the entire time, even if the main twist was glaringly obvious! The mystery and the house were both well planned and I enjoyed the dialogue and quotes, which seemed to annoy a lot of other readers based on reviews.
The Goodreads reviews have not been kind to this book but I have to say I'm really enjoying it so far!

Picked up a couple new books this weekend! My daughter and I will love playing Murdle together in the mornings (I first heard about it here on Litsy!) and One in a Millennial was an impulse purchase because it sounds right up my alley!

James McBride may just be my favorite living author. He creates entire communities for readers to walk through with fully realized characters that are, more often than not, unforgettable.

I was on a roll today. After I finished this, I devoured Britney's book in three sittings, and managed to finish my ARC of Hitchcock's Blondes.

A little evening snack before I finish the tagged book! This has been a fun start to a new mystery series. The characters and their banter feel authentic and I like the ridiculous aspect of a former crime-solving child detective.
My local indie, The Book Tavern, had an art show titled Book on a Box in September. Artists could create any type of art as long as it fit on a 12x12 box about the book of their choice!
My daughter and I created a '90s zine piece inspired by the tagged book. We were honored to have ours hanging with so many wonderful works. I brought it home last week along with some new books, of course 😉

Stradal's previous two novels were quirky, endearing, and compulsively readable - I'm so ready to dive in to this one!
I've had this on hold at the library since the release and have managed to avoid spoilers - but the overall ratings/general sentiment have me concerned. I'm about half way through and honestly it's compulsively readable with the short chapters and alternating timeline... but I have a feeling the ending will ruin it 🤣 (yet I don't even have a guess at what it will be!!)

Started the tagged ARC last night and I'm enjoying the unexpected humor.
Collard melts for supper, recipe courtesy of Mason Hereford of Turkey and the Wolf! Mason has an incredible sense of humor and makes amazing dishes with some very simple ingredients most chefs would turn up their noses at.
Fun fact: I pre-ordered a signed copy and the first print was on a cargo ship that sank 😲 so they had to reprint the entire run!
