I did not know Agatha Christie had written under a pseudonym so that‘s interesting.
Set in the 1930s in what is now #croatia, this novel follows Grace as she escapes from her husband, who may be having an affair and her bullying grown up children.
I struggled at first as the blurb says it is ‘farcically funny and full of wisdom‘ and I just didn‘t see the funny side, and some of the ‘wisdom‘ was a bit boring.
However the last quarter of the book was amusing and sweet and, yes, full of wisdom so it‘s a pick!

I‘m a bit worried about the Othello as I‘ve only read one Shakespeare play and that was for GCSE English. However, it‘s an edition that explains the big words and difficult bits to beginners like me, so we shall see how I get on! 🤞
