Queen Victoria becomes Queen at the age of 18. Will she decide to marry or will she remain unwed…she makes the men of the court crazy as they try to decide for her what she should do. Taken from her diaries, her and Queen Elizabeth are true rulers that outlasted most men!:)
#JulyJam #CrownDay I really liked this book, about when Victoria was crowned the Queen.

Catching up on season 3 of Victoria tonight. Cholera has hit London. Albert declares that surely science can find the cause and a cure. Lord Palmerston responds with “Politicians don‘t have time to watch science chase red herrings.” 😮A few minutes later, someone declares that the foreigners are the ones bringing the sickness. If they leave all will be solved! 🤦♀️This situation seems eerily familiar to today. 🙄We really haven‘t changed much😢

Really enjoyed this one 🙂 While I enjoyed the authors insight into Queen Victoria I would like to do more research into who she was and what she accomplished throughout her lifetime. This was a beautiful glimpse into the life of an amazing woman and queen and I can‘t wait to find out more 🙂 and now to sleep perchance to dream 🙂
I read while he plays video games and Gus messes around 😊 had this book in my TBR basically since it was released so...it‘s about time right?
I just finished this and I LOVED IT! Queen Victoria is one of my favorite historical figures based on all AHS managed to accomplish during her reign. This book is a brilliant work of fiction and biography. An excellent read that I nightly enjoyed.
I figured the fact that Queen Victoria survived a lot of sh*t in her lifetime might comfort me in this time of #socialisolation #coronavirusbook2 #lovetheroyals
Just getting started on this one. I love the TV series so I‘m sure I will love the book!
Generally a historical romance and an easy read. I am sure some sections of it ( especially the Lord Melbourne and Queen Victoria relationship) has been made larger than life but the book does follow the rest of history (or at least what I know of it) fairly accurately. This book is supposed to be what the television series is based on so am looking forward to watching that.

I have V, X and Y to go. Next read is the tagged book for the letter V.
This is a light and easy take on Victoria‘s first days as Queen. This fictional version reads more like a historical romance than a work of historical fiction. It was a fast read and I‘m looking forward to watch the tv show now.
If you are interested in history and this time period then this book will draw you in!
This book follows from the time she was still a child all the way to her marriage and is pretty accurate. There is of course some fiction to the book but it follows the history that I know very accurately.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If you‘re up for a feel-good love story, this is not a bad pick. Many history buffs already know how the story will turn out and who she‘s gonna end up with, but its development is still worth following until the last page. #bookstagram #bookreview
This was a good easy read. A little fluffy for historical romance but I did learn some things. I read it for prompt 10 of the ATY challenge - A book featuring a historical figure.

No sugar tonight, instead I‘ll be watching Victoria and eating salty popcorn 🍿!!!
Well written and interesting but it ends at her proposal. I wanted to learn, even if fictionalized, about what made her a great Queen as it‘s a knowledge gap of mine. Also, I‘ve heard that they were quite in love- I don‘t see it. He‘s kind of a pompous prig throughout this book and it makes zero sense to me why she would propose. Still- enjoyable and the narration was spot on.
This tale of young Victoria's rise to the British throne was remarkably suspenseful considering we all know how it works out. I haven't seen the TV series, but now I think I'll have to check it out. Victoria is an engaging protagonist and Albert, once he enters the picture, gives off a certain irresistible Mr. Darcy vibe.
Had a very pretty picture of the snow but it wouldn't load. 6hrs 15 mins into #24b42019 and looking forward to some hot coco and puppy snuggles as we #readinthenewyear -nothing else I'd rather do than read and be with me IRL familiar and Litsy fam.
Out audio ice fishing but the phone‘s about to die. Hubs went out to hunt which is why I actually get to listen 😂 1 hr 9 mins logged for #24b42019. Posting quick before I lose battery and service again!
Logged another hour for #24b42019 and got into a fender bender sliding through a light in a snowstorm🤦♀️Headed up north for 4 days, will be reading but will also have spotty connection. I loved hearing from all of you about our local bookstore closing. It's nice to be surrounded by people who get the emotional connection. 💗#Litsyfamily
#24b42019 Parking spot to parking spot I commute about 65 mins providing traffic is good (longer at night). While I‘m enjoying this book it may not be quite the right speed for early am, pre-coffee driving.

I loved this book. I am obsessed with anything to do with the Victorian era, so this was perfect for me. I enjoyed Goodwin‘s take on Queen Victoria, although I fond her portrayal of Victoria to be too childish than she may have actually been. I would‘ve liked to have more focus on political matters, but the romances were entertaining. Now I can‘t wait to read more about her. Overall, I found myself caught up in the story‘s charm 👑✨
