Just saw this interesting post by Mary Fratto Rowe about Salesforce's new Einstein service agent. The first thing that come to mind that I'm sure people are thinking is will this eventually replace service agent's jobs? We are definitely a very long ways away from that. More so I feel that this will help improve the customer experience to help reduce the number of tickets that agent's receive for repetitive or simple tasks such as refunds or standard questions, leaving the more complex questions for the human agents. I think that there will always be a human element required as we are all humans and eventually want to interact with someone real when things get to a certain point, but we also want speed of service and do not want to wait to speak with a real person when it is something easy than an GPT AI engine can help to address. I would love to hear your thoughts on this.
