I need book two immediately. The pining and angst was absolutely painful. I feel incomplete. Mia Darling, you evil angel. Take all the fucking stars.

“Yes,” I admitted roughly, “even in Hell.”

I loved seeing the characters grow, how the cruel mafia world shaped them, how they had to hide their true selves, how even when they were supposed to hate each other they couldn’t stay apart.

The unrequited love, the pining, the unsent texts — it was all beautifully painful and extremely well done. Those texts broke me. Even through all the pain, the fight for survival, you can still feel how they care for each other, how in a different world they might be able to love each other.
The last chapter simultaneously gave me everything I wanted and not fucking enough.
I can’t wait to see their HEA, because I NEED it.
[thankfully, the author promised me it will all be worth it… after a wee bit more pain. “What’s love if not a little pain?” Looking forward to it. ]
