Oookay, this fizzled out quickly. By 17% I was already bored, and that was well before any mpreg, menage and whatnot going on.

All that bliss and all those many orgasms and all those nice and sweet aliens simply gave me indigestion. I skimmed the rest to find the men treated like pets unto the end, which doesn't turn my crank in the slightest. Hence even the tearjerking left me largely unmoved.

And that has been my initial fear with this book, as already my first Tymber Dalton left me essentially unmoved and yawning. Same here, I'm sorry to say, though I have to state that the prose is slightly better in this one.

I think this author simply may not be for me.

Plainbrownwrapper Dalton is definitely trash -- but IMHO she can be entertaining trash. Hers were some of the first mmf books I ever read.

And this one was a very very odd book.

Steelwhisper It's not even that I generally dislike trash. I enjoy the occasional "nothing is demanding" Harlequin... but it has to at least be romantic. And there has to be some emotional development, and maybe some conflict. The very basic ingredients, which all were lacking here.

That's my main problem with Dalton. She writes as if she played the plot with Ken and Barbie dolls.

Plainbrownwrapper I'm not gonna argue with anyone's rating on this one -- I still can't quite figure out why I didn't give it 1 star myself, but somehow I just couldn't.

Have you read Love Slave for Two? Awful, AWFUL title, and over-the-top everything, but I enjoyed it and its sequel.

eta -- nevermind -- I see you gave it 1 star too! Oh well! ;-)

Steelwhisper Yeah, they were sharing her around by timetable as in school. This one was worse for me, because apart from being as erotic as a block of wood it also was quite distinctly skeevy.

Heh, I'm not going to try a third. This author is simply not for me.

Kelly (Maybedog) That is one of the funniest gifs I've seen in a long time. Can you tell me what the big tearjerker ending is? In spoiler tags of course. Thanks!

Steelwhisper Heh, tearjerker: (view spoiler)

Kelly (Maybedog) WHAT??? Seriously???? What kind of fucked up ending is that??? Not that I had any interest or intention of reading this but really????

Steelwhisper Apparently the author worked out her (view spoiler)

Kelly (Maybedog) Oh, I'm so behind on responding to comments! Sorry!
