Dale despised the Terran military. He was drafted, not a volunteer. He never expected to get captured by the Algonquans and sold as a breeder pet, either. He only prays his new owner is kind and doesn't eat him. Then he meets fellow pet, Mark, who informs him getting captured was the luckiest day of their lives.

Mark also hated the military and now spends his days in a life of sexual leisure, enjoying poetry and totally at peace with his fate. Dale settles in and finds not only does he enjoy this life, he loves Mark, too. Despite tragedy striking too close to home in their protected world, they find room to love their Master's newest pets, Cooper and Nate.

When the war ends and the Terran pets are granted their freedom, the men are faced with a return, or stay with the owner they've grown to love?

an accurate representation of my face and nether regions throughout the reading of this book:

description

shockingly free of self-consciousness, typographical errors, irony, plot, or restraint.

luckily, the whole MPREG-hormones-turn-military-dudes-into-screeching-old-women thing didn't happen until after a good 90 pages of some decent fapmatter.

—wait. fuck misogyny; if the golden girls ran into these dudes in an alley, only one group would make it out alive.

the one with orthopedic shoes.

....a story of mixed success, then.

wildly entertaining sexorz, horribly disquieting implications (gay dudes are not rape barbies, k?), and super-unnecessary emo-ketchup over everything:

because even SPACE ALIENS use hyperbole like teenagers.

2.5 stars for the imagination

This book is way out of the box.

It is the weirdest book ever, Eggs, Breeders, M/M/M/M/M.

It was all over the place and i couldn't feel any connection with the MCs or the even the story.

I don't even know how to explain; so i will just direct you to Xia and Ele's reviews.

The best part was the company, Ele, Moony and Xia thanks for the buddy read. It was a very different long tongue and frame experience.

Super solid 5-brilliant-stars!

Really loving this one so much. It sorta have everything in it yet it doesn't upset the story and the flow. This book pushes all the right buttons for me.

Angst = CHECK
Mpreg = CHECK - It does not shy away from conceiving and birthing parts too. Wow. One of a kind.
Breeding = CHECK - Aliens breeding humans non-consensual and consensual.
Menage = CHECK
Orgy/Group sex = CHECK
Slavery = CHECK
Pet/Master = CHECK
Loving Masters = CHECK
Pampered Pets = CHECK
Dubcon/Noncon = CHECK
Aliens = CHECK
Alien-Tentacles-Like-Sex = CHECK CHECK
Interspecies/Xenophilia = CHECK of course
Slave/Pet Collars, cuffs and toys = CHECK - psst.. there's even a milking machine. Ohlalala*
Body Modification = Oh Gawd CHECK tat too.
Fisting = CHECK
Romance = CHECK

Not sure if that helps to sums it all up. But what I do know is that it had me hooked from page one and tearing up here and there till last chapter to Epilogue. Gosh. What a turbulent emotional roller-coaster ride it was. It made me grin like silly and sob and laugh and getting upset when its character suffers any injustice.

Frankly, I was surprised to find a book that has tons of sex in it and yet still manage to actually have a solid storyline plus firmly maintains its reader's attention even when the volume of sex in it could actually drown you.

Took me only a day and a half to finish it. Cos I was literally glued to its pages.

This one is a MUST-READ and MUST-HAVE.

Holy balls. That was not what I was expecting at all. Seriously. Ignore the blurb. Don't worry about the whole MPREG thing. Don't focus on the multiple partner aspect. A fantastic love story. Talk about tears, man. That ending was so, so good.

Quick one because I have to go to bed, because I am getting up at 3.45 am to go catch a plane.

This book sucked. It sucked like an iCum machine pulling 50+ orgasms a day out of a bunch of human breeders on horny-juice potion with deplorable cow-like-mentality (when they're not throwing tantrums like 4 year olds at the wrong people). The way these men are infantilized, or rather, insist on infantilizing themselves is beyond annoying. The way pregnancy and breeding and staying home, (barefoot and pregnant), are glorified in this book makes me want to throw sharp things. If the main characters in this book were women captured by aliens/sheiks/mormons I would sue the author for defamation of my gender. As it is, this book should be burned at Pride.

Damn, and I hoped having a day between finishing this and writing the review would take the edge off.

Sorry.

I didn't like it, okay?

Bawled. Bawled. Bawled. Sniveled. Bawled some more. What a roller coaster this book was.

Some notes for those potential readers:

Do not read if you have a problem with:

1. Men as pets
2. Men as breeders
3. Men as breeders to aliens
4. Men with lots and I mean lots of sex with men (multiple partners does not even begin to describe some of the scenes)

Read if you like:

1. a story where the main theme is love. If a person is safe, loved, cared for, not lied to they can adapt (as well as overcome and thrive) to anything.

Nothing is impossible...

This is an erotic book?

Yes and No.

Ok, let me start with why I think it's a VERY erotic book.
4 men and 1 alien.
Get it?
Oh yes... it's veeeeeery hot, and don't think twice if you are searching a menage book.

Now, why it's not. Simple: I cry, more than one time. My question is: how many times did you cry reading a erotic book? (sobbing, not just a little tear, huge sobbing scene, with someone asking if something is wrong).

So it's an erotic book, but it's also MUCH more than that!
Amazing characters (I love all of them) and an AMAZING story!

The plot surprise me. When I read the blurb the first thing I notice was the menage. I'm not a big reader of menage stories (I'm stupid, I know) so let this book in my to read shelf for a while. Big mistake, because I think it's one of the best plot I read this year. No, I'm not kidding.
Dale in a military mission against a (probably) hostile alien specie will be kidnapped. All the book is his POV (but the quick epilogue) and his life is heartbreaking... All his questions, about what humans decide to do, to preserve the specie (in a future, where apparently no human is happy)... his desire of more... his hope of be happy, anywhere, but find it... happiness... I liked it... a lot. Also his "kidnapping" is something unexpected. I'll not spoil telling more... just one thing: it's the best erotic kidnapping possible. His place in this alien world is as a breeder, and his position is as a pet.

No, I don't think it's a BDSM book even if there is all the pet theme. No, in my view it's erotic and that's it. Maybe is perfect to everyone searching a book about "pet" but don't think there will be a strong hand master. No, the alien (Dale's Master) is incredible tender, and is more a lover than a master.

The menage is INCREDIBLE hot. Boys and Girls if you want to read a ménages à trois book READ IT NOW! Dale and Mark at the begin (and for a long while) with their master is I.N.C.R.E.D.I.B.L.E sexy! And after also more, with Coop and Nate... ohhhhhh... I think I took something like 100 cold showers (and molest my husband countless times) because EVERYTHING IS EROTIC in this 4 guys and the master house.

You must be warned that MANY SAD things will happen, but regardless it I ADORED the end, and ADORED this book!

I think it's one of those times I'm really glad someone told me to read a book.... I had so many recommendations, and this book is in my list of the BEST recommendation EVER!

Don't let this book waiting if it's in your shelf... if it's not, try it.
Open you heart to this heartbreaking multiple relationship story... because love is also that...

... share your life with more than one person.

Be happy, and happy reading

This is by far the weirdest Sci-Fi book I have ever read in my entire life.
I was feeling suffocated for the majority of the book and most probably I will not read it again ever – not because it is not well written, but because it is too overwhelming.

Dale is a human and a soldier fighting aliens and more particularly the Algonquans. He knows almost nothing about their race until he is captured by them. Then he learns that Algonquans are neither females, nor males but kind of unisex and they need humans in order to be able to breed. They will basically use their bodies to lay eggs inside them. Humans are treated like pets. They are looked after and loved and they stay with their master until they die being fucked and bred regularly.

The book is full of disturbing images with continues rape for Dale firstly from the milking machines (their name is self explanatory) then from the master until he learns the process.
Dale learns to be a good boy and take it like a man and that the feeling of self preservation is greater than the feeling of self respect. It is explained to him that if he doesn’t let his master breed him, many more aliens will breed him.

I don’t know…I understand that the earth government is supposed to be bad people and the military is supposed to be the worst thing ever, but still it felt that Dale and his fellow pets are just suffering by the Stockholm syndrome.

Yes, eventually they will love their master and they will crave his attention.
Yes, they will also love each other.
But they are secluded. The only living things Dale is seeing most of the days are the Master, his servants, Mark -the other pet and best friend- and later on Cooper and Nate the newest pets.

The ending…I don’t even know about the ending…Is it supposed to be good? Heartbreaking? I don’t even know how I managed to finish the book to be honest.

I have to give extra credit for originality, but it was a really nerve-racking experience for me.

I promise you, you have never read a book like this before, and probably never will either, because what Tymber Dalton does in this book is just E-P-I-C.

There's a reason why Dalton is my favorite author. Only she can write a story like this, with all the crazy shit that's in this book and make it so... I don't know, natural? The setting and story is made so believable, so familiar. It's so profound, so beautiful, so scary, so aching, so sweet and so much love. Yes, this book is full of love, believe it or not.

Take a chance on this. Read it, just go with it and emerge yourself in the setting and the story. I promise you will not regret it and leave a part of your heart in this book.

Ps. Don't be put off by the bad cover.

Pss. For those of who'll balke at sharing and menage and stuff like that. You have never read a story like this, where it's more...ehm fitting, feels natural. I don't know how to describe it, but you haven't read anything like this before so try it out. Please.

A space mechanic on a Terran warship.

A menacing shadow on the radar.

Next thing he knows, Dale finds himself naked and secured on a frame on an alien warship - along with thousands of humans in a similar condition around him. Scared to death of what the aliens he spent his adult life fighting against are up to, he waits, gagged and bound on the metal frame, enduring a strange treatment that removes his body hair and stretches his butt.

Once the ship lands on the alien home world, Dale is selected by an alien and taken to his home, where he meets Mark, a young human man, welcoming him with open arms.
Mark begs him not to fight the alien and explains that they will be kept by their alien master as pets. Or more specifically as sexual mates who will be bred to carry and lay their master's eggs, thus increasing the alien population to help their army fight the Terran attackers.

Dale is scared, but begins to enjoy the sexual encounters with Mark and their master's huge alien penis. Allowing Master to plant an egg inside his body with the huge barb-tentacled penis becomes an intense, pleasure-pain experience for the young man. The egg growing inside his body over four weeks, the hard shell pressing against his prostate with every move Dale makes, turns carrying into a time of endless orgasms with the only downside that he cannot get fucked until the egg leaves his...well...ass.

Dale realizes that it's common for alien masters to share their pets with others too. An insanely tragic experience shows Dale the value of his growing love for Mark and the importance to trust his Master with his life. The life as a spoiled (and well-fucked and bred) pet soon overwrites any desire to return to his former military life until Dale is certain that he wants to spend his days with Mark and Master forever.

This is one bat-shit crazy story!
It kept me hooked until the last page, though, surprising me again and again with the things that happened in Dale's life.

I think I've read more drama and angst here than in ANY other m/m book so far. And that's for sure, because usually m/m stories simply don't feature issues like , or the desire to .

Through various circumstances, the number of Dale's 'pet colleagues' increases to four over the years. Four guys in a fourway relationship who have all sex with their master and want to be bred by him. (Better keep taking those blue pills to trigger your egg cycle, Master ;-)
In order to increase the maximum level of awkwardness, also Master's son, one of the eggs they carried, becomes part of the household later on as his heir and ALSO starts a sexual relationship with the men. So at some point there's a sixway relationship going on, if you can call it that.
In the end, even two alien neighbors join in to have their share of these pets' 'endless rounds of orgasms'.

The ending is insanely sad and if you've read the author's note you realize that this whole story is based on

So yeah, let's hug .

This story fascinated AND freaked me out at the same time. My main complaint, however, would be the fact that sex was simply overused in this story. The polyamorous relationship wasn't believable to me, since sex wasn't anything special here. These guys had 50 orgasms or more per day, no matter what they did. Even the sharing with other aliens wasn't really anything intimate. Usually, a three-or-more-way is interesting because you share intimacy with more than one guy, which is unusual and therefore interesting to read. But here it was just a fact of life, like drinking or watching TV. Even laughing triggered an orgasm when they were carrying. So I missed the excitement that usually comes with a sexual relation in romance (not just in romance ;-p).

This was my first full mpreg story. I can't say I will be a fan of that particular genre, since the topic isn't really interesting to me as a gay man. I assume the concept is more interesting to female readers who can identify with a pregnancy concept. Still, this was definitely an interesting change of scenery for me.

The ending really had me in tears, although it totally unsettled me too.
.

But we should enjoy the story as the author intended it: As a science fiction fairy tale ;-)

Reread: Keeping the rating 3 for the entire story except the ending and epilogue which made it 3.5.
Thank you very much for the BR to Elena, Shile and Moony. I haven't had so many lolz during a BR since Captive Prince.

3 stars until the very end when it turned to 4 because it F*ING BROKE ME! Stupid Mpreg book had me crying like a baby.
I mean, how does this happen? It's completely unexplainable.
I started the book all grossed out and judgy because of the amateurish writing, annoyed by the info dumping, by the repetitions, the weird sexed out world, the milkers, the egg breeding process. Robert F*ing Frost! I almost DNF twice.
Then I realized I was slowly falling in love with the characters, (all of them) and that the writing was improving with each chapter, so I started really enjoying the story. Moved from 2 stars to 3. Then THAT ending T-T which has moved the book to 4. It was a huge improvement from the writing skills at the beginning of the book with the ones at the end. It was as if the author found a purpose for the book somewhere in the middle and made it soar.

I've read some "pet trope" books and most were meh. This might be the first time I actually felt the characters were pets. They reminded me of my dog, whom I loved as much as Master loved them in this book.
Forget the Mpreg, the orgies, the non stop orgasming, those freakish eggs. This story was much more than that, but I didn't realize it at first. It was the story of a family.

This book had everything I hated and more, yet not only did I not DNF, but it turned me into a sobbing puddle because by the end I was in love with everyone.

Inconceivable! *insert The Princess Bride meme*

P.S. There is a chance I might return to it and make it five stars. I wanted to give it 5 stars now, but I think I'm under the influence of that ending and the memories of my dog and I'm not thinking straight.

Thank you very much to my friend Annob for the recommendation! :*

I'm at the beginning of the book:

jumping every 15 min into the sea for cooling down
It was HOOOOOOT!!!!

And when I finished it:

***a quiet voice is reciting Robert Frost's poetry in the background***

The biggest issue I have with this book is its length. It has at least 100 pages toooooooooooo muuuuuuuuuuuuuch. A long novel even in this genre should deliver more plot and more interesting characters. Otherwise I got bored.

This kind-Aliens-and-their-horny-pets tale started out really good and deliciously porny, but then turned into a pretty odd and hardly aroused story of laying, carrying and dropping eggs interrupting by the milking machine orgies and nature interactions accompanied by many I-love-you(?!) Nothing actually happened here on many many pages except a lot of repetitions - there were no conflicts, no fears, no new hot sex scenes, no further developments neither in the characters, nor in the plot. Hot turned into boring.

When a pornyTHIS suddenly tried to turn into a moving aka deeply emotional something towards the end, it became ridiculous.

4 stars for the first third of the book, 1 star for the remaining parts.

Saved it for so long, building up my expectations that I think the book wasn't as much as I'd hoped.

I was sold on the sci-fi component. Really, just wave intergalactic war and the fate of captives in front of me and I bite. But, the sci-fi elements faded really fast as the captives adjust to life on the Algonquan home world, which is terribly similar to Earth: grass, swimming pools, and even the furniture. The world building was a bit disappointing.

There's a couple distinct aspects to the story, some that I enjoy much more than others. The breeding portion, well that is technically more like incubating than breeding unless you're comparing them to Pokemon where you collect and hatch eggs. And while it was entertaining the first few times, the unrelenting orgasms and constant sexual hunger/humping/fucking got boring. Yep, hook him up to the milker... again.

Then there's the violence and justice Algonquan style. Which I guess is suppose to make you feel better, revenge for Master's incompetence soothes the wronged parties. Then, there's some bizarre rhetoric that gets spewed out a few times against Terrans, the pets' species and how there's no way that being POWs has led to Stockholm Syndrome. I really tried to skip these paragraphs because it fell apart so dramatically, but I understand the underlying message of the validity of 24/7 relationships attempting to be made.

Then there's the ending, which in a lot of ways just drags out the natural course of life. It was heavy-handed emotional manipulation which actually didn't make me cry because it was so clumsy. This theme was handled much more adroitly in Dalton's The Reluctant Dom.

Overall, meh. Sometimes less is better.

Side-eye quote:
It’s not Stockholm Syndrome because I’m happy here.

I started this book with mixed expectations. Very low, because eggs, breeding, and milkers don’t usually scream “great book” at me, but also kind of high, because of Xia’s review and some other friends’ high ratings.

In a weird way, the book delivered on both. There are a lot of good ideas in this story and the world building is very interesting, even if the alien race has too many humanoid traits. This probably won’t be a problem for anyone not making comparisons to the Claimings series by Lyn Gala, unlike me (and I blame Xia for this. :D Btw, dear, Master’s tongue might have been almost as good as Ondry’s tail, but he can’t compete with Ondry. Not even on murdering instincts, let alone sex and romance. Lol).
If the execution had delved deeper, if there had been more serious relationship and character development, if the plot twists had been delivered with more build-up, instead of coming out of nowhere and feeling a bit contrived, I could’ve really loved this book. Yes, even with the breeding, the eggs and the never-ending orgasms, it could’ve been that good, if the writing had worked for me.

So, it’s not that difficult for me to see how and why others loved it, but I couldn’t take it seriously and so I didn’t care for the characters. I cared so little that I was actually a bit disappointed when

I don’t know if I’ll rate this, mostly because I really wouldn’t know if I should round it up or down. The last chapter and epilogue alone make me want to round it up, but I’ve a feeling that’s my weakness to emotional manipulation showing.
Not that I think the author was trying to manipulate anyone, I just was more invested in the characters in that last part than in the entire rest of the book and I know myself well enough to know that, with other characters and another book, that epilogue would’ve had me in tears, so the fact that I was mildly moved doesn’t mean much.

Editing to add: after thinking it through, I decided to round it down. If I don't consider the epilogue, 2 stars are already too generous, and I can't really give this book the same 3 stars I've given to much better books in the past just because of the last few pages.

Thank you for the company and the fun discussion to my fellow buddy readers Moony, Shile, and Xia. If I ever find an alien abductor with the magic permanent-hair-removing mitt, you’ll be the first I’ll share it with.
Thank you to Xia especially, and not ironically, for bringing this book to my attention with her review. It obviously didn’t make my favorite shelf, but I don’t regret a minute spent reading it. Good or bad, I’ve a feeling I won’t forget it anytime soon. :)

Never have I encountered such a curiously-imaginative story. A rather steady-flowing plot..slowly building in delicate emotions..to finally a tender-hearted sentimental ending worthy of many bittersweet tears.

It's a poly-man-love sci-fi tale that primarily starts as a primary ménage later evolving into a quatre romantic love story. Interestingly it is not at all as one would expect given the rather garish-porno-looking cover and even goofier title. Obviously, very little thought was given to marketing this. But I must say while the writer's work is primarily f/m/m there's certainly nothing wishy-washy-weak-or-stereotypical about her m/m. It's unfortunate she doesn't write more of it.

And while the blurb is pretty much on and then some..it's the unusually interesting and originally fresh content that will keep you reading through your WTF's..and concerns for your mentality. Because even though it covers a lot of man-humping-modified-breeding-mpregos-&-cock-milking..it's still surprisingly a very emotionally-evocative journey.

My hats off to all the brave readers that read to the end. I made my exit at chapter 24 minus the tears. And who would have thought it would have such a profound effect given the strange and very out of this world content. But it does. So-I'll remember fondly without the tears TYVFM this strangely intimate story of four beautiful men who found love and contentment in the most unlikely of places. Works for me.

Well. I didn’t catch many typos. So there’s that.

There was some creativity to the world building, biologically, but ultimately there was zero tension and a whole lot of repetition. No showing, all telling. Nothing in the way of character or relationship development.

But still a fun buddy read with Ele, Shile, & Xia! ❤️ Discussions of perma-orgasm and perma-hair removal abounded. 😁

There were so so many things wrong with this book. The milking, the almost insta-love, the sex overload. But god. I didn't care. Not after I reached a certain point.

The way the story was told, in this reminiscent, almost wistful story telling tone-- as if, when he was telling this story, he was already dead and was just recounting the past-- made the book all the more sadder. Even the happiest part had this-- not detachment, but this feeling that something was going to come. I don't know, the feeling could have been just me.

The book got progressively better- and more brutal.

Normally I would say that I devoured this book, but that would be oh-so wrong. No. This book devoured me. It chewed me up and spat out this gibbering, babbling, heart broken remnant of who I used to be.

The ride is pretty brutal but exhilarating and it may drive you to tears. Someone said that this was a book they will always reread and I can't help but think "How? Are you nuts?". How can you read something as emotionally taxing as this over and over again?

It will be a long time before I can gather enough courage to brave this book, and it will be an even longer time before I forget this book.

Oh my word. I was sobbing so hard I couldn't even read the epilogue.

I honestly thought this book was gonna be one of those books you just read because well, let's face it. Aliens, sex and Mpreg. You read it because of the outrageousness of the book, you don't expect to be caught up in a emotional whiplash!

Okay. So this book is weird. It's like way out in left field, twirling around and doing its own thing.
Mark and Dale. Epic love. They loved each other hard.

My only real issue was the language barrier between Dale and the first Master. Anyone else find that the sorry and love you were really the only communication they had. It almost made Master out to be simpleton.

I'm so gonna have dreams about this tonight!

According to Carlos Castaneda, Mexican shamans (among numerous other religious teachers and philosophers) teach that the most important fact in our lives is our inevitable death. Death is the single most unifying and motivating factor that exists. I know that one day, I will die. So will every single person that I love. And that has to be, and is, my motivation to get through life, to be strong in the face of a million self-doubts, to say yes to the things that scare me shitless.

By God, I shouldn't be confessing these things when reviewing a book full of cock milking and m-preg egg laying. But there it is. This book shouldn't work. But it does.

It constantly breaks that cardinal writing rule of telling versus showing. It's repetitive, full of holes and shamelessly utilizes rote plot devices. And I can't fault the author. Inexplicably, she has wrought a fundamentally human experience in an alien world filled with human "pets." She took that most fundamental human fact -- that we all die -- and showed us how precious today is. That today's joy is spiced with the knowledge of death, that it would not hold its value without that truth, that life's joys and sorrows would be worthless in the face of immortality.

Maybe I'm reviewing this book while still too raw from experiencing it, but let me tell you, it was worth it. So, you can take that for what it's worth.

If this book stopped at the halfway point, it would be 4 stars no questions asked. That second half, on the other hand, wasn't as fun.

The first half of 'Acquainted with the Night' is fun porny goodness. This is non-stop sex from the get-go. You've got massive butt plugs, including of those of vibrating variety, penis "milking" machines, copious amounts of anal play and rimming, bondage, master/pet dynamics, orgies, and drinks that make our MC horny enough to put a randy rabbit to shame.

There's also an alien with a massive appendage that would likely rip most humans apart. But not our MC, because of all of that anal stretching, and because logic doesn't apply when you're abducted by aliens looking for pets to breed.

Oh yeah, and there's breeding. Like male humans carrying alien eggs and then "dropping" them out of their asses kind of breeding. I expected to be emotionally scarred for life. However, it wasn't bad at all. The whole process was entertaining, like something gross you just can't look away from. And it was also pretty erotic, because the orgasms (of the pets, not mine) were non-stop.

But somewhere near the 60% mark, the book took a dive. It seemed like the author had a change of mind, and went from writing PWP to something deeper. Tacking on emotional scenes and existential questions on the tail-end of multiple orgies just doesn't work. At least it didn't for me.

And was

So three stars. The porny bits were hella fun, the unnecessary angsty add-ons at the end weren't.

CRAZILY IMAGINATIVE AND VERY ENGROSSING.

I'm utterly floored with this one. I need time to recover. Maybe lots of it.

ONE OF THE MOST INTERESTING AND QUIRKIEST READ I'VE READ SO FAR!

After eating my lunch, I still haven't quite recover from this. XD

I enjoyed this immensely. And, it's not only hot and a romantic read. It made me also think. It f**ked my mind!
I mean, the Terran captives have 2 choices for them:
Be a sex pet or fight for life?
But for our hero (Dale) took the easy? route and accepted his fate. (But actually he's too aroused and horny to think. XD)

I gotta say, all the categories you can find while browsing Gay porn appeared in the book. Let me enumerate those I can remember:
Capture
Straight to Gay
Cock Milking
Milking Machine
Anal play (lots of it!!! with lots of toys!!!)
Sex drugs
Sedation
Bondage
Master/Pet relations
Exhibition
Nudism/Naturism
Outdoor sex
Rape
Male Pregnancy
Gay For You
Threesomes
Foursomes
Orgy
Pet Loaning
Father/Son sex (in the book they dismissed this, but you might think otherwise)
Fisting (not really during sex, but there were hands in the ass while they drop their eggs)
Double penetration
Alien sex (think that Katy Perry song)

See? There's a lot! And how the author fit them all in this book? I have no idea...my mind was blown while reading one sex kink after another that was written so fluid and so natural that I think you won't be so offended while reading it. The MC was loving all the things that was done to him (Yes, almost all of that was done to Dale) so that's why even some of those stuff are hard core, it seemed acceptable while reading it.
If I missed something, please sound off in the comments. I want this list to be complete. XD
If you're don't like anyone of these, well, beware on reading this book.

But I gotta say, it's not dark. Even as the title suggest. This has a beautiful love story. Between the MC's, their masters. There was love. Undeniable love. I loved all the characters.

Mark, Dale, Coop, & Nate

Also there is background story here. It's not all sex. The plot was engrossing for me. I can't put this down. Got me distracted a lot.

I'm not sure what I can tell more. As you can tell, this is hard to review after finishing it. This is very very very different. If you want a crazy ride, this can give you that.

I honestly can't recommend this to everyone. It has a lot of kinks that maybe some of you wouldn't like. But I can recommend this for those who want a very very different M/M Rom read.

DNF. Simply not my thing. Human is captured by an alien race, Uninteresting sapfest with unrealistic and docile behaving human captives that just adore to be infantilized and orgasm 24/7. This will be a hit for fans of these kinks.

Oh bloody hell! Miscalculated my friends' willingness to read about anal eggs and milking machines a bit... :/

Buddy read takers so far:

* Angelica
* Christina
* Alice (reluctantly)
* Jenni (has potential :p)

*cough* DISCLAIMER: I will only read this in 2014 when I can find at least 5 friends who like to read along with me.. har har har! >:)

Why thank you for tirelessly reccing this book over and over to me, my friends. I vomited 3 times from reading the reviews alone, but in 2014 I will finally be ready (with a little help from my friends, hopefully).

This book is the perfect example why I never rate a book I DNF!

I purchased this book long time ago for a planed BR, but I was busy, and couldnt start reading on schedule. and when my BR partner said she is DNFing it at 50%, I just forgot about it.
But, the other day I was at my hairdresser, WITHOUT MY KINDLE (the horror!) and that book was on my IPhone App... and as they say: "The Rest Is History".

***(Now is also the time to congratulate me for my bravery, of reading something so erotic when someone is right behind my head the all time!)
;)

It started out really great, and captivating.
The imaginary world the author build was brilliant, and I was hooked to the story from the very beginning.

But at around 20%-25%, it began to be a bit repetitive,
I couldnt see the hotness everyone was talking about (the milker was hot? really? its a f***ing pump!!),and I felt I wasn't conecting to the characters.

I was SO close to DNF it, SO CLOSE!

BUT, thanks to my OCD, and my stubbornness, I kept reading "just a little more... to be sure..."

And dear me!
At about 60%... OOOO,MMMM,GGGG!!!

I couldn't put it down if my life was dependent on it.
I got so invested, I felt like I don't want this book to ever end!
The love between the two MC's was so emotional...
It was beautiful, it was heartwarming, it was touching, it was SAD...

That epilogue was one of the most amazingly, touching things I ever read!

I honestly wish I could have given it 5 stars, because what I am left with, is so wonderful, that it saddens me that I have to take a star off for the middle part of it.

Second Read (8.26.12) - Still 5 stars!

After reading a book that was truly a chore to finish, I needed something safe to read that I knew I already loved. I've been meaning to read this book again since I first finished it last year. In fact, I suspect that I'll read this book many times in the future; I might even invest in a paperback. :)

Most of my feelings are the very same as the first time I read it. I did notice some places where this probably could have used a little work (mostly in the editing and the pacing and use of narration), but the magic of the story outweighs all of those things. I dare you to read this and not want to hug a puppy! Sometimes there is something intangible that brings a story together (even a story like this one that isn't perfect). You can feel this author's emotion in the final chapters. I couldn't do without those chapters, no matter how much they make me cry. Those chapters are what brings the whole story together and offers a new perspective, capitulated by the epilogue that really forces us to consider them as pets. Even though it is a smile-through-the-tears kind of ending, it's still difficult in a totally

First Read (11.14.11) - 5 stars

Wow.

This completely bowled me over. And I'm still crying. And it's a happy cry! Though not without a few problems, I was so entranced by this story that I just couldn't put it down and there's no way that I could leave it without a 5 star rating and immediately adding it to my favorites shelf.

Really, really wonderful.

Oookay, this fizzled out quickly. By 17% I was already bored, and that was well before any mpreg, menage and whatnot going on.

All that bliss and all those many orgasms and all those nice and sweet aliens simply gave me indigestion. I skimmed the rest to find the men treated like pets unto the end, which doesn't turn my crank in the slightest. Hence even the tearjerking left me largely unmoved.

And that has been my initial fear with this book, as already my first Tymber Dalton left me essentially unmoved and yawning. Same here, I'm sorry to say, though I have to state that the prose is slightly better in this one.

I think this author simply may not be for me.

This is one of those books that while reading it, you think: WHAT THE FUCK AM I READING??? . But it was shocking. Really! I can't believe I'm giving this 5 stars, but I can't help it. I'd have gone for a 4 star rating, but that ending blew my mind. The last thing I expected from this kind of book was to be emotional. I even cried!!!

I'm really stunned. Nothing more to say! Just enjoy the book and the continuous horniness!

Bloody hell! Someone could have told me that I would be crying for hours even after I've read the book! I seriously considered dropping two stars because I read this genre and romance in general to avoid thinking about the harsher and unavoidable side of life. But when it smacks me in the face like it did with this books I truly want to be angry at the author for not ending the book a few chapters before. I do understand the reasons, I honestly do, but the fact is, I never would have picked it up if I had known. It is a happy ending to an extent, but having lost someone close in my life, it leaves me little comfort as I'm crying even now while writing this.

It is truly a beautiful book. The connection was so deep that it made the ending all the more painful and truthfully traumatic. I loved the concept, the births, and the romanticized side of slavery. It really is beautifully written and you can't stop before you reach the last page.

I would recommend it, if you don't mind the unavoidable end we all must face, but it is almost guaranteed that you will shed your bucket of tears while doing it.

*Anyone have any happy recommendations for me? I desperately need a good laugh.

3.5 stars This book was MPreg done right in a technical sense. These were normal human guys and in the context of the alien biology and physiology, the preg was very well done. And it is a book about love and relationships, more than anything else, with an imaginative Sci Fi context. Human men, captured from the Terran military, find a home, love and sexual bliss (non-stop, pretty much) with each other and their alien Master.

The mechanics of control and stimulation of the human males were a bit far-fetched, but possible. There are experiments where scientists stick an electrode into the pleasure center of a rat's brain and the rat will bar-press for electrical stimulation, without stopping for food or sleep. This book seemed to use the male prostate as a similar conduit to behavior control and bliss.

I did have a little bit of trouble with the lack of negative emotional reactions of the MC narrator and the other humans to their situations, especially at first. I think normal humans would have had more doubts, more fears, jealousies, arguments... and less bliss. All of the conflicts within this story came from outside the romantic pairings (and trio-ings and quad-ings...) in the form of danger, assault etc. The human military and society were portrayed pretty negatively, as a partial explanation for the guys' contentment. But the combination of being effectively plugged into brain pleasure centers non-stop plus physiology-altering drugs are required explain it. It could have been an even more interesting story if there had been conflicts within the household. The speed and intensity of the aliens' attachment to their pets also seemed rapid. Having said that, it was a sweet, imaginative, occasionally angsty, read and I did enjoy it.

Incredibly imaginative erotic m/m sci-fi from Tymber Dalton. Made me laugh and cry equally. Dog lovers beware (although no actual dogs are involved), this book will break your heart. I was reduced to a wrecked, snotty mess by the end of this novel. Highly recommended to fellow masochists!

'I have been one acquainted with the night.
I have walked out in rain -- and back in rain.
I have outwalked the furthest city light.

I have looked down the saddest city lane.
I have passed by the watchman on his beat
And dropped my eyes, unwilling to explain.'

"Love at the lips was touch
As sweet as I could bear;
And once that seemed too much
I lived on air..."

I wasn't expecting this book to be so emotional and I was reduced to a sobbing mess by the end of it. Its brilliantly imaginative and the best Sci-fi Fantasy I've read by a long shot.

And my god does it tick a lot of boxes!
