Rhythm, Chord & Malykhin will always have a piece of my heart. It´s the perfect amount of fun, romance and friendship. A friends to lovers story written by the queen of the slow burn.


This book begins when Gabby, homeless and jobless, recibes a call from her twin, Eli, offering her the position as his band’s merch girl. She knows going on tour is not her dream job, but she will be able to spend time with her twin and his best friends. What she didn´t expect is to have a crush on Sacha, the singer of the headlining band. They quickly become friends, which only makes Gaby fall more and more in love with him. And, who can blame her? He is amusing, charming and so sexy…


He was too cute and so happy it overwhelmed me. His eyes met mine, all wide and starry like he'd discovered a new constellation. “I don´t remember the last time I had so much fun!”

There really wasn't a point in even trying to fight my feelings for this guy, was there?


I love this book so much because of the characters. Gaby, Sacha, Eli and his two best friends (Gordon and Mason) are so fun together! I was laughing so hard that my eyes were crying. Gaby is one of the boys: sassy, blunt, funny and without filters. I love her and Eli, so so much that I could have read the book only for them. But we also have Sacha, and he blew my mind. You can´t help falling in love with him!


Eli smiled quicky and winked at Sacha, only confirming the man-crush I felt he had on him. “Come on, Sach. You can translate what those tour guides are saying”

“They are speaking English”, I told my brother, feeling one of my eyes begin to twitch.

“But they have accents, Flabby, hello.”

I looked over my shoulder to find Sacha shaking his head, so I snickered. “Lucky for you, E, Sacha speaks stupid, so he can translate”.


Rhythm, Chord & Malykhin is a bit different from other Mariana Zapata´s books. It's funnier and not so centered in the romantic relationship, since the friendship between the characters is also important in the story.

However, this story is still a wonderful friend to lovers, slow burn romance (signature of MZ) that will make you laugh and sigh. Definitely the funniest Mariana Zapata´s book I´ve ever read!
