it was amazing

Scrumptious.

I can't type it here, the Spoiler Stasi would waterboard me, but Z.O.M.G. this entire ending is the outside of enough! I pity the fool who doesn't indulge in the occasional Heyer. A diet of them would be akin to steamed pudding for breakfast, Queen of Puddings for lunch, and a Pavlova for dinner, but damme how they are like vintage champagne served with an exquisite entremet.

Teal I wouldn't waterboard you, Richard. I would just close you up in a small room and wink at you until you screamed for mercy.

Really! "Just" indeed. The ghastly torment with which I am threatened is just as bad as the agonies of waterboarding.

message 4: by Teal (new)

Teal The good news for you, Richard, is that this is an empty threat, because I actually cannot wink. I'm physically incapable of it -- I must not have the right muscle coordination or something. So you are safe. Sorry for the scare. But please -- no spoilers! There's always the chance that someone else will wink at you for it.

Richard Derus The more ordinary experience for me is the spoilerphobe does her damnedest to say something sarcastic and cutting. Alas, alack, I am proof against such weapons by utter and arctic cold indifference. Women have been insulting me since birth...nasty mother, two rude older sisters...so it's just not interesting to me anymore.

Steelwhisper I've grown used to the pity ;) But fool? Nah.

I think it all depends whether one prefers fake over real :P
