First reaction: What the hell? This book has a very abrupt ending. We get to the conflict aspect and one short line is all it takes to resolve this whole thing and bam! The book ends at 67%. This was a very unsatisfying and rushed ending.

This being free made it easy to take a chance on this. I thought it had a good start that fizzled out fast. The story seemed rushed and instead of drawing out a fun filled vacation, this reduced most of the trip into footnotes of a few short sentences. And then it was on to the other half! It was the other half that left the rest of the book as cold as the weather in New York in early spring. What little chemistry these two had seemed to flee and left me disconnected from their romance. Jack had no time for his supposed wife. He was at the office 24/7 with short breaks to apparently watch Emma sleep.

I would have liked to have seen the vacation being the stronger aspect of this. Instead of a short brief introduction to the characters, this could have been a solid foundation for their relationship. Instead this was a bit of a disappointment.
