I cannot get enough of Kagawa's writing! I love her characters! Her stories! She is one of my most favorite authors! And this was the perfect ending to an awesome series!
Allison is one of my favorite female antagonists in YA fiction! I love how Kagawa portrays her as a futuristic vampire samurai warrior and she needs to save the world!
The rest of the cast are just as awesome and I will miss them! Kanin, Jackal and especially Zeke! That boy could do no wrong in my eyes!
I cried, of course I cried with the ending of this book. Kagawa's beautiful writing and the events leading up the end had me on the edge fo my seat and tears in my eyes!
And I have to mention that I have never read about a more sinister villain. Sarren is so evil and vile! I can't even begin to elaborate on how sick he is! You will just have to read it to fully see how demented he is!

It has taken the story to a whole different level now! So I love Adrian, he's so funny and so completely sweet and affectionate even though Sydney doesn't want that from him (view spoiler)[ until she does!!! (hide spoiler)] Sydney's magical abilities are growing and there is a new threat to her now, an evil witch wanting to consume girls for their youth, beauty and magic. Marcus is an ok guy, he wants Sydney to find proof of something he's heard about, (view spoiler)[ the Alchemists and the Warriors are conspiring against the Moroi. There was only one detail as to what they wanted. Jill and her whereabouts. So why do they want to know and what would they do if they knew where she was? (hide spoiler)] So now she has to go break in to one of the servers in the Alchemists archives to get it.
The romance was so good too, I wanted Adrian to wear Sydney down so she'll let him kiss her again. He didn't push too hard(view spoiler)[ and he really didn't even have to. And then once she did FINALLY admit she had feelings for him and then give in to them, her sister Zoe is in her dorm room because Sydney called Stanton to inform her of the Warriors looking for Jill, so they send a new dhampir and Zoe as back-up. So now how is Sydney and Adrian going to keep their relationship a secret? I think they sent Zoe to spy on Sydney. She had Marcus break the compulsion in her tattoo and now she has to watch every word she says even more closely. She has to figure out a way to take out the Warriors and Alchemists before her tattoo starts to turn silver. (hide spoiler)]
At least Fiery Heart comes out Nov 2013, we don't have to wait that long. As soon as it comes available for pre-order I'm so getting it!!
I liked it, though I thought it was a little slow to start, especially with the long chapters but after about chapter 5 it started to pick up.
Lots of I liked it, though I thought it was a little slow to start, especially with the long chapters but after about chapter 5 it started to pick up.
Lots of mistrust and manipulation, but I thought the manipulation part was really genius on the author's part. Once it was all explained at the end I couldn't help but admire the bad guy's ingenuity and mastermind, sick as it was I still couldn't help myself.
I feel like the series is winding down and I'm really curious to see how it all ends. I'm a little anxious too, especially for Claire and her friends. How can things end on a good note? I want Michael and Eve to have their HEA, but I just don't know how that is going to happen....more

Lucas has been my favorite since the beginning and now I think he is a jerk, shame on him for what he did to Kylie. And Derek is sweet, he was really there for her when she needed a friend. I'm so sad for Kylie, everything she went through from normal teenage stuff to trying to get a handle on her abilities and what they all mean...BTW I think it's soooo cool what she can do even if she thinks she a freak.
OH!! C.C. Hunter you really know how to make a person sweat!! You know what part I'm talking about, I almost lost it, completely lost it!!! I can not wait for Chosen at Nightfall!!!!...more

OMG! OMG! OMG!!!!! First I need to say that Julie Kagawa is a friggin' genius! I love her writing! The characters she creates are so awesome!
Allie is no exception! She is strong, fierce and tough as nails! Zeke is the sweetest, kindest, one of the most swoony worthy book boyfriends ever!
And Sarren! OMG! The ulimate villian! He is so diabolical, so evil and malevolent! I really don't think that there is another like him...at least in all the books I have read...none can comapare to him! Not even close!
I don't know what else I can say about this other than the story is completely brillaint! With the zombified rabids, mole men and with a new virus attacking the Fringe, Allison as her work cut out for her. Not to mention looking for Kanin and the anticipation of when they finally meet up with Sarren, this book kept me on the edge of my seat!
And the ending! OMG! Let's just say that I am SOOOOOOOO glad that book 3 is already out! Because with THAT ending, I would have died waiting for it to be released! ...more

All the fog and the cathedral in the back ground and yeah the guy is hot too! I haven't read any of the other books the author wrote but Blood is really good. I liked how it was in 3rd person and then it would switch to Will's POV when telling about his past. It was a really fast read, lots of suspense and intrigue and creepy witch ghosts.
Eloise and Will's romance is so cute, I wanted more though but what can you do when the vampire your kissing is only tasting your blood and wants to drain you dry *sigh*.I thought it was a more realistic approach to a romance with a vampire cause of course he wants to drain you if you kiss him he couldn't help himself. I can't wait till Alchemy comes out in Sept. I'm still a little leary of some of the characters...not gonna say who though...I don't know I can be a little suspicious sometimes I could be wrong. ...more

At the same time it was the same roller coster ride you have come to expect from Morganville! I was on the edge of my seat the entire book wondering what was going to happen next!

It was a good end to the series, my favorite of all 3 of the books. Some very funny parts had me laughing out loud. Poor Ana seeing her dad in his birthday suit on more than one occasion and then seeing her ex-bethrothed getting married to a dude was just weird not to mention awkward. Even though by the end she still had all 3 dudes vying for her affections, kind of drives me a little batty that she didn't end up with one of them but at least that is better than her not picking anybody at all like another series i could mention but I won't....more

My heart stopped at one point when the thing happened to Burnett...really had me going for a min there...and yes I did get a little teary eyed at the end and I wasn't even really attached to that character but Kylie was and it was really sad.
Finally we get somewhere with Miranda/Perry and (view spoiler)[Holiday/Burnett (hide spoiler)] YAY!!! And we learn what she is, not sure what to think about that, but ok I guess.

I thought he was a little arrogant and all he wanted from Ana was to get in her pants. And for Elias I thought he was sweet if a little old-fashioned, well let's just say my opinion changed for both of them. In Almost Final Curtain I found Nik to be a sensitive artist and Elias to be kind of strange LOL. Also her dad is a butt head, not a little bit and not kind about it at all, just straight up evil and ruthless as well as Nik's dad. And I'm still baffled about Thompson does he like her or what?...more
