There are definitely things I like about it- there's genuine love between the brothers, some great banter, and some scenes are quite sexy. However, when I'm reading them, I kind of just want them to be over. This installment was the best one yet though. The characters felt more mature and it's very likely because Brax was in therapy-something quite frankly all of the characters need. Plus, Brax is an artist and his passion is palpable. He and Ry were great together, each giving the other what they needed. One other thing I want to point out, is how noticeable some of the editing errors were. Usually, I can overlook them, but there were several times sentences just stopped midway and it was jarring. I may read the other two books at some point, though I'd most like to read Matt's story, which hasn't been written, and given how long it's been since book 5, I'm not sure if it ever will be. ...more

This book resonated with me deeply. I can see why some people might find it too slow, but it held me captive. More erotic and sensual than outright sexual, it was nevertheless so achingly beautiful to me. The characters were dynamic and this theme of releasing shame, connected to me and my own story in a way I wasn't expecting. Even just the history of the brothel being a place of penance and now a place where "sin" is reveled in, spoke to me. I just loved this and can't wait for more....more
