As always indie authors are the ones who give me new hope .

It was a shock to me that this was written almost a century ago , and that these novels are completely unheard of .
I know a lot of people are out off gothic novels because of supernatural creatures ghosts and other evil things . If that's true of you then perhaps give Christabel's Room or Mistress of the Moor a try , these are novels which a realistically gothic might take you by surprise . ...more

The first bit was kind of slow as we got to know clara her sorrow , but it was important , and it led me to feel her pain as deeply as is if it was my own . The action and heart through the rest of the story completely made up for that inconvenience . *I already wrote a review but my phone deleted it ,so I had to rewrite it ...and I lost all of that 'genius ' and inspiration XD*
This story honestly had a LOT more depth than I expected we really get to see a lot into the terror of "Shell Shock" aka PTSD and the horrors it inflicts .
There was one point in the story where the description of the rats gave me Five Nights At Freddies flashbacks . I would've worked on the horror aspect of the rats a little more , but that's just me , and I'm a weirdo xD

( I do realize that it's not a word ;P)
The first thing I have to explain is that I came in reading Phantom knowing about the main characters . Although I had never read the book or watched the movies ,I was already in love with Erik and the idea of the story . I also came into the book with a grudge against Raoul . Of course if I loved Erik it would mean that I still hated Raoul ...nope I has to make things difficult for myself by loving both of them so deeply !! This is really crazy because I've never had such a love for two opposing characters ! There were moments when I was beginning to root for Raoul ...but then I would bawl about Erik . Seconds later my heart was melting because of Raoul's Sacrifices for Christine !! I've never felt so much division in my self when reading before ! It was bonkers XD I could so relate with Christine and her struggle to choose . I felt her triumph and sadness along with her . Felt my heart wither when hers did and in the end I made the same choice that she did ! I'm not going to tell you who 'we ' chose ,you're going to have to find our for yourself . Decide if what you feel is enchantment ,infatuation ,or love !❤️ Makayla 💕
