Very solid 4.5/5 stars.ETA (7/25/15): I come back to this one more than any other one in the series when I'm having a bad day and need a pick me up. I really think it's become my favorite of her books. Bumping this up to five stars.
(view spoiler)[Okay, so I was going to read part of this last night and part of this in the morning, but obviously that got shot to hell because suddenly it was like 4:30 am and I was done and I was SAD.
This was just a really fun read. Not a surprise given how I usually feel about Julie James, but still such a delight after what's been a rough few months for me reading-wise. I laughed out loud, and I really loved the progression of their relationship. Their meet-not-cute could've been a little much for me, but somehow it wasn't?? I think because they were both so aware of what was happening. Also, my actual favorite thing was her texting him while on dates with other guys and him being the dumbest dumb fool about it.
ALSO ALL OF THE MENTIONS OF THE OTHER BOOKS/COUPLES. Even JD and Payton from Practice Makes Perfect!! NICK AND JORDAN ARE HAVING TWINS. BROOKE AND CADE ARE GETTING MARRIED!! I really want a Huxley and Addison novella. LMAO Vaughn wants Huxley to go to undercover school and there were references to when Huxley got sick and missed his undercover assignment.
Next book needs to be Ford or Wilkins. La la laaaaaaa. Ford/female FBI agent. It has to happen. HAS TO.
Also NICK AND JORDAN ARE HAVING TWINS THIS CAN'T BE SAID ENOUGH. (hide spoiler)]...more

I don't even know what to say just yet other than I want to bottle the feeling I had while reading this book and sell it. Also, the worst thing about this book was that it ended.
So excited for Julie James' book signing on Friday!
Updated thoughts 4/3/13:
-Really, really into all of the relationships in this book. Not just Cade and Brooke, but Cade and Zach, Cade and Rylann, Cade and Huxley and Vaughn, Brooke and Ford & co, Brooke and Ian, etc.
-The tidbits we got on the previous couples/callbacks to the other books in this series were fantastic. Best part was Rylann relating the story of how Kyle proposed to her, although if there is ever a bonus scene where we get to see exactly how the guys assembled that crib? That one might be the winner.
-I especially enjoy how Julie James handles her heroines and their careers and how they don't give up themselves/what they want for the hero. And really that Julie James allows them to be ambitious and career-driven in the first place.
-If there is not eventually a book (or at least a novella) about Huxley and Simms, I am going to be very sad. Also Wilkins still really needs a book. And I really want my female FBI agent book, too.
-Like About That Night, this was another one where the "case" plot wasn't really very busy. It was definitely there, but it really felt more of a set up to get the characters to meet. That meant there was more time to spend on the other relationships like Zach and Ford, etc., and I thought that added a lot to the story for me personally.

"Nothing in the whole world could come between you and me, Betsy. We're . . . woven together. You know that. And darling, when I come back we'll have our little home again. We'll have Bettina."
"How do you know all these things?" Betsy asked through her tears.
"I know," he said. "I feel it in my bones."(hide spoiler)]
No words at the moment. Just extreme joy. I want to draw hearts all over this book....more
This remains my least favorite book in the series, not because I don't enjoy Betsy's adventures in Europe but because I just miss everyone else. That This remains my least favorite book in the series, not because I don't enjoy Betsy's adventures in Europe but because I just miss everyone else. That said, I think this is one that improves with reread. And never doubt that I love the ending, because really, what's not to love?

Even last fall, although I liked you a lot, I wouldn't let you come into Plan. But I've been doing a lot of thinking, Betsy. That Plan has been twisted about to let you in. You're in it, now, that's all. I wouldn't like it without you. I wouldn't give a darn for my old Plan if you couldn't be in it."
I want to have other things to say, but I really think I need to let this stand on its own. That is all....more
I really, really enjoyed this. I love this series, and this wasn't a disappointment. It wasn't nearly as action-packed as the other two, as the 'case'I really, really enjoyed this. I love this series, and this wasn't a disappointment. It wasn't nearly as action-packed as the other two, as the 'case' parts of it ended by the halfway point, but the fact that this was basically about a (relatively) uncomplicated relationship progression was a change. A welcome one at that.
Plus, getting bits of Nick/Jordan and Jack/Cameron was great, and the minor subplot with Sam Wilkins and Rae was also fun. I think Cade needs a book, now. I have decided.
Reread 3/29/13: Wow, I really noticed the cover art this time. She should be in a skirt suit. Otherwise, while this isn't quite as strong as the first two books in the series it is still a very enjoyable read. I love the way Julie James creates/writes her characters....more
THIS WAS AWESOME. I looooooved the chemistry and banter/bickering between Jordan and Nick. Awesome families on both sides, too. Another fun r4.5 stars
THIS WAS AWESOME. I looooooved the chemistry and banter/bickering between Jordan and Nick. Awesome families on both sides, too. Another fun read. I enjoy this series a lot. It works well for me since I am into the whole procedural crime drama thing.
A few small nitpicky detail things, but overall a great read. I did raise an eyebrow a little bit at the declartions of love, which somehow worked better for me in the first book given that the characters had known each other longer. But I suppose that's just something that's going to happen in these types of books and I should just learn to accept that.
I really meant to be in bed two hours ago. Ooooops.
Reread 3/19/13: SO, yeah. This is still my favorite in the series. I adore this book a lot. (And lol @ my n00b contemporary romance comments from last year. I didn't even notice the declarations being so fast this time.
Reread 10/14/18: I have no idea why I've never bumped this up to 5 stars before, but I'm doing so now. This remains one of my two favorites in this series.
Reread 1/22/22: Really pleased with my decision to come back to this series as my first reread project of 2022 (I reread Something About You last fall, which is why I started with this one now). After a couple of fine but slightly disappointing reads, having something fun to fall back on was a real pick me up....more
Reread 9/11/21: I obviously come back to this series a lot when I'm lookinHEE. This was fun.
Reread 2/23/13: Yep. Still fun.
Reread 10/13/18: See above.
Reread 9/11/21: I obviously come back to this series a lot when I'm looking for a comfort read, and there's a reason for that. I really miss new books from Julie James....more
