Maddy and Jono are semi co-workers and have a great friendship and chemistry from the beginning. Jonathan is technically a single dad but his daughter is very much older and engaged. With very good intentions his daughter wants to set him up for Christmas but he decides on another plan. Him and Maddy’s fake relationship plan doesn’t go exactly as they planned but as it should have when his daughter and his parents decide that they want an in person Christmas instead. Not only does this intensify their chemistry but you see a completely different side of Mr. Jonathan.
All in all very great feel good story under 120 pages quick fun read.

Riley seems grumpy and like a black cat but he really is a golden retriever at heart. Once you learn more about him you see why he prefers the playboy lifestyle. Liora has her own trauma that causes her to keep people at arms length. She was a previous Olympian figure skater there is mention of the toxic environment but she does work to make friends just not with Riley. They came together very naturally you can see the chemistry.
The world building was amazing I loved the side characters I cannot wait for more of them and definitely have book 2 on my TBR already.

Alex and Chris are twins, from the blurb you know Chris does not show up to his wedding so Alex steps in. Jaclyn, Chris, and Alex grew up together went to college together and are all kids of previous presidents.
It is obvious from the beginning that Jaclyn and Alex have a connection but Alex does not share the same views as their fathers and is vocal about it. I loved Jaclyn in the beginning you can see her fighting herself because she has political aspirations but feels she has to play her role for her seat. Alex I loved from the start the way he supports Jaclyn trying to show her that she shouldn’t she needs to run is perfect. We do get Chris’ POV a few times and I don’t want to give away too much so read this.
That bonus epilogue yeah I am ready for Ileah’s story she is that girl!

Aiden has always been my favorite Langfield brother, and his story just sealed the deal. We get so much more in depth of Aiden and his struggles it is so easy to connect to him. It is very bittersweet that this is the last Langfield brother but it truly was saving the best for last.
The depression and anxiety representation was done with such care and so relatable that if you struggle you will definitely see yourself in those moments.
Lennox is very much the ying to Aiden’s yang and these two together are perfection. She is such a bright pink sunshine and she is working to free herself from her parents who are trying to dim that light.
Aiden if you read the previous books is very much a golden retriever this mans mouth man can go from sweet to filthy is .02 seconds.

You cannot help but love Emerson it is impossible to hate him. Same with Gi after getting more of her story you can see her grumpiness is more of shield than anything. The way they stand up for each other perfection.
It has everything swoon, spice, emotion, character growth and depth. As well as some cameo’s from the Mom-Com series I definitely recommend picking this one up. If you haven’t read Chris and Avery’s book The Fall out I recommend doing so before this one but they can be read as standalones. I cannot wait for the next book in this series.

From the beginning I loved Aspen she is driven and the person you can always depend but you see how she feels like she is forgotten in the shadows and you can't help but just feel for her. Owen for as big as his ego may seem he is so much more to him than meets the eye and give him a chance as you read this story because man I loved him at the end perfection.
This is a small town childhood rivals to lovers and I love how they were so toxic as children that when seen together the town literally scatters due to the mayhem. So many other things I want to mention but I don't want to give anything away just add Renee to your list of authors.

THAT ENDING has me on the edge of my seat waiting. I love the chemistry between Miles and Brooke he is just perfection if Jay would just get it together and calm down a moment from the big brother routine. Caroline LORD the times she drove me crazy like how in the WORLD does she have the AUDACITY she drove me.
I think the real highlight was the chemistry and banter with Miles and Brooke I love their relationship, their communication and just the comfort they feel in each others presence I cannot wait to see how this series progresses

Why I loved It As much as I love a good enemies to lovers there is something about a best friend to lovers that just hits different! I love the backstory and connection. They have great communication as long as it is not her admitting her feelings for him first. Alex and Nikki might just be my favorite.

This is book 3 in the Hel’s Ink series do you need to read Fox and Atlas to understand Ash? No. Do I recommend you do? Absolutely it will help with backstory and they are amazing stories that should be read.
Ash the MMC is a Tattoo artist and Sunday is a dance instructor with her own studio and a single mom to a teenage boy. Now if you think the banter is great between the adults wait till you add in Wade Sunday’s son you will laugh. They both have their trauma’s they are dealing with Sunday is coming out of a bad relationship, dealing with debt, trying to survive, raise her son and move back home all while also suffering with epilepsy and dealing with her son’s chicken. Ash is a playboy, that has trauma of a bad relationship where he was the DV victim and we know from Atlas him and Sunday have history in the form of a bad one night stand.
As time goes on you really see the effects of what each of them have gone through and how they each handle things differently. Sunday more likes to hold on to those close to her and Ash pushes away out of fear of the past between his ex and his father.
I laughed, I cried, I swooned, and I fussed but all in all I loved this story and cannot wait for Derek

This is a fake dating, rockstar romance and I will say in the beginning it was kind of hard to love Wren only because you can’t help but love Reed he is such a golden retriever with the energy to match. As you read and as you understand her situation your heart will absolutely break for her.

Hunter our FMC she is strong and trying to carry the world on her shoulders. She has returned after being in Europe for 3 years to escape the dumpster fire that she was dealing with. She returned to attend college and is staying with her step father and step brother/ex boyfriend Greedy.
Greedy, Greedy, Greedy he is just perfect the way he loves and protects Hunter even after she ghosted him for 3 years and tries to keep her distance from him he still loves her. You cannot help but just love him and my heart was breaking for him every time I got his POV.
Levi is Greedy’s best friend who left for college in California 3 years ago has also returned after having to have surgery from an injury. His mom is horrible so they come up with a fake dating plan to get him to stay with them while he recuperates. Levi is also very easy to love and he is not only protective of Hunter but he also cares for his friendship with Greedy.
I cannot wait till book 2 we are just starting with these characters and I cannot wait to see how this progresses and to learn about Hunter’s time in Europe. This story also deals with heavy topics please check trigger warnings but they can also be a spoiler so warning.
