I love a good invisible string/ divine intervention trope and this one hits all the marks. This is book 3 of the Pebble Brook F“It wasn’t your fault.”
I love a good invisible string/ divine intervention trope and this one hits all the marks. This is book 3 of the Pebble Brook Falls series and can be read as a standalone.
Deacon is a grumpy ex military and ex fireman that moved to Pebble Brook a few years prior. He is very introverted and his two friends basically pushed themselves on him, but he is very loyal to them. Charlie is the absolute opposite of Deacon she is sunshine in a bottle, extroverted and sees the world as a glass half full.
Deacon and Charlie’s story actually started seven years prior when he rescued her from her apartment fire. That situation caused them both to see the world differently he sees danger in every corner she sees a second chance at living. He wants to keep his distance but fate is not having it after one thing after another goes haywire they are snowed in together. This forces them to come to terms over what happened seven years ago and push the boundaries, especially since Deacon’s default is to run and shut down.
Loved these two as much as I loved Ranger and Sarah, I just need to read Willow and Johnny.

If you want a sweet, fun, spicy novella for your Christmas TBR, I definitely recommend reading Jonathan and Maddy’s “Why does this all feel so right?”
If you want a sweet, fun, spicy novella for your Christmas TBR, I definitely recommend reading Jonathan and Maddy’s story.
Maddy and Jono are semi co-workers and have a great friendship and chemistry from the beginning. Jonathan is technically a single dad but his daughter is very much older and engaged. With very good intentions his daughter wants to set him up for Christmas but he decides on another plan. Him and Maddy’s fake relationship plan doesn’t go exactly as they planned but as it should have when his daughter and his parents decide that they want an in person Christmas instead. Not only does this intensify their chemistry but you see a completely different side of Mr. Jonathan.
All in all very great feel good story under 120 pages quick fun read.
