I'm not surprised that BK has done it again. Beni is another Guzzi that I've fallen in love with. Kinda hard not to when his DNA comes from Gian & Cara :) I thought Bene would be fun but Beni is all that and more! He's mafia royalty but still willing to put in the work for the respect he wanted. August isn't so bad either. She's confident, driven and passionate about her career. I love their banter and chemistry.
Didn't realize how much I missed the Chicago crew until Beni but I LOVED the cameos and getting a glimpse of the Rossi and Guzzi families. Can't wait for the next book in the series!

When Lev is at work he's Pink. Despite the nickname is note soft. He does what his boss asks him to do and while on one of those jobs he happens to run into Gigi again after 5 years. In the years they've been apart Lev has been working for Andino Marcello and is great at his job. When he's home with his daughter he's just daddy. Gigi blew up in the fashion world. Her face on magazines world wide.
I LOVE the relationships Lev has with Andino, Arely, Nessa and Gigi. I just LOVE the world BK has created and FLOVED Les + Corrado's cameo.

Each Guzzi man is different but similar in the way of their loyalty and devotion to their family. These men can be intense but they're easy to fall in love with. Bene and Beni's looks may be identical but they are very much different in personality. My heart broke for Bene and Vanna and they make it hard for you to not root for them.
Bene had love, vendetta and redemption. I NEED more Guzzis! Looking forward to Marcus but not the end of this series :*(

I really like Autumn. She's the kinda girl I would be friends with in real life. Nate? Is a douche and if I could I'd kick him where the sun don't shine. Ryder is a mystery but I like his alpha ways. Autumn reeled me in and Ryder kept me wanting more! Can't wait for the next book! :)

Sofia was obsessed with Fina and wanting Danilo to like / want her the way he did Fina. The things she's done to try to get Danilo to notice her made me cringe. I had hoped she would grow into her own person but she kept comparing herself to Fina and making bad decision after another.
Danilo was obsessed with Fina & Remo and getting revenge.
I'd say Fragile Longing is my least favorite book from Cora Reilly. I could not connect with Sofia or Danilo. It was irritating to read about how her parents doted on her kids but treated Fina's badly. ...more

Essence of Fear took my breath away. Pavel had a rough life. Forced to serve in the Boykov Bratva because of his father's mistake. Despite all he had endured he still had compassion and care for Viktoria. Viktoria had been through a lot and still going through it. She stayed away from large crowds, drank to numb the pain and to get away from the nightmares. My heart broke for them both. Together they helped one another heal. They leaned on each other. Pav made Viktoria feel safe and cared for.
BK is such a great storyteller. I was drawn in and heavily invested the entire time. I thought Vasily was a bastard for what he did to Kaz but um... Vadim takes the cake! I can't wait for Kon's book. ...more

I LOVED getting to know Kolya & Maya in Fractured Ties. When we were first introduced to the Boykovs in the Seasons of Betrayal series I was drawn to Konstantin but Kolya has stolen a piece of my heart. He's cold and ruthless when it comes to bratva business but a gentle giant to Maya and Sumerki. There is nothing he wouldn't do for Maya.
Maya is such a sweetheart and so kind for someone who's lived such a hard life. She knows what Kolya is capable of but only sees the good in him because he is so GOOD to her.
Kolya & Maya's love story is inspiring. I LOVED Kaz's cameo and learning the history between Vadim and Vasily. Fractured Ties was a great read. Can't wait for the next book!...more

Cory Rossi! His easy going, fun having personality on top of his tattoos and SWAG. Great combo! Cory's not the suit wearing type but he gets the job done. I love his relationship with his family. He is a great brother and son.
