It is his hope that the move will bring his daughter emotional healing. Unfortunately, there are still issues she must deal with and Newt is lost as to how to help her.
Freddy is a teen counselor that uses her dog as an instrument to reach her patients. She first meets Millie at the high school and recognizes that the girl is hurting but that she has an instant affinity for Freddy’s service dog. When she takes on a new patient at her clinic, she is shocked to learn it is Millie and that she is the daughter of the man she has had a few run in’s with lately. None of them pleasant expect for the piercing eyes that seem to see through her.
I enjoyed all of these characters as this story is not just about the hero and heroine but includes Millie to the hundredth degree. Newt was such an amazing dad. He was strong and protective and yet knew when to draw the line even as he was able to share his soft side with both Millie and Freddy.
Freddy was an incredible heroine. Her past included so much loss over a short amount of time that it was a miracle she was still standing. The love she shared with those around her made her shine as did the care and attention she gave to her menagerie of animals. Freddy was the type of character you wish you had for a friend.
Millie was portrayed in the perfect teenage angsty light. Even as she begins to grow from her wounded soul, she never completely loses the fact that she’s fifteen and all teenager. I loved the strength she slowly gained and then eventually latched hold of and used to form her into the woman she would one day become.
This was a slow burn romance that covered the pain of loss and the methods that some teens deal with their loss of control and how the adults around them handle those issues. The first portion of the book was very slow but definitely lays the groundwork for character development. However, there was plenty of drama toward the last 25% and the epilogue was enough to bring tears to my eyes.
Overall, this was a heartwarming read that left me feeling satisfied at its conclusion.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book provided by NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I really enjoyed the way these narrators portrayed and brought these characters and this book to life. I found their performance to be clear and concise with the ability to showcase additional information about the hero and heroine more so than just the written word alone. I was also able to increase the speed due to the clearness of their voices which made this a much faster listen than expected. So glad I was able to listen to this amazing story!
It’s a fact that I’m in love with this author’s characters as she creates them to be very realistic with responses and actions that are true to life as well as mature. Willa and Dimas were created in such a manner and it didn’t take me long to fall in love with them both.
This has a lot of action and drama as everyone is working towards solving the mystery at the core of the story. There was never a clear picture of who did what and I didn’t know which way to look until the picture was right in front of me. Love when that happens.
Add in plenty of great secondary characters, lots of steamy goodness because this mature couple aren’t holding anything back, and a wonderful ending, and this made an excellent choice to spend a few hours with.

Let go from her job, Charley is trying to start her own assessment company. When her new client, the one who could really get her name out there, ends up being the same man who tried to steal her milk, she’s got concerns. He’s a complete adrenaline junkie, lives an outrageous life and she’s extremely attracted to him. But when her best friend finagles them into going on a trip together, she’s wondering who the risk taker is now?
’He was nothing but the shiny object that would derail her from her plans. The bell to her bird. The squirrel to her dog. Her kryptonite.’
[image]
Despite being careful about everything in her life, Charley always ends up in one botched up situation or another. She’s adorkable, accident prone, and too cute for words. I enjoyed watching her try to avoid her attraction to Chris, knowing it was a losing battle. ’He was like a great big ball of golden sunshine that warmed and cheered everyone around him, no matter what their intentions. The man was contagious.’
[image]
Chris lives for the adrenaline high, living life on the edge. I loved that he challenged Charley and drew her out of her protective shell.
’The woman had uptight down to a science. And he knew just how to make her unravel.’
From the very beginning they had a spark that grew into intense heat. Their reasons for ignoring the chemistry between themselves believable.
This couple were so much fun together. The banter is sharp and quick, cute and engaging. There were some hilarious moments as Charley got herself, and him by association, into various situations. I was a bit disappointed that this character trait tended to die down as the story progressed. However, it was enough to enjoy the thought that the risk assessor was more at risk than the one being assessed.
This is a story that will immediately pull you in due to the meet cute and then the continued cute which eventually moves into emotional involvement between the hero and heroine. The conflict was a bit under thought but didn’t take long to resolve. The angst level is definitely low and the heat, once they gave in, was pretty steamy. Mostly, this is just a great feel good story with wonderful characters that make you smile.

This couple had some issues and a rough road before they finally found their footing. I was totally caught up in their relationship drama, biting my nails as they each were pulled into danger and suspense outside their relationship as well. There wasn’t a moment where something wasn’t happening or I didn’t feel the sense of trouble waiting in the peripheral of their personal story.

This cover hinted at a somewhat different hero, but I didn’t have a clue just how unique Radar was going to be. A little geeky with a tremendous talent in front of a computer, he also shined with an alpha attitude when it came to Hillary. She was more than capable of handling his dominant manner in a way that had me cheering her on. Feisty! I loved it!
Starting with a rush of action, this never really slowed down. Radar and Hillary were quite heated in more than one way and I was consumed with everything about them. With additional characters that added either support or more drama and a plot line I didn’t see coming, I refused to put this book down once I started.

Life has thrown Sloane into a vulnerable position Wow! What a great story to start this new series with! I adore everything about this couple.
Life has thrown Sloane into a vulnerable position but she’s far from being fragile. I appreciated that she was able to pull herself up and take steps that didn’t offer any guarantees. She’s actually one tough lady and watching her deal with a case that would make the strongest of individuals weak had me admiring her all the more.
Dan is everything I love in a Freya Barker hero. He’s a little rough and rugged, the type of friend who will drop everything, and all kinds of swoony when it comes to his thoughts and reactions to Sloane. And oh lord, there is nothing more alluring (as in my ovaries just exploded) than a man tending to a baby. This author knows exactly how to paint the picture and stir all the emotions along with it.

Having always done what her family wanted, she is now breaking away, but the answers to her dilemma aren’t so easy to find. Cash, her friend and yet her ex’s best friend as well, has been there to help her with small problems along the way. After a drunken night, a discussion of tattoos and some cookies, Callie is suddenly seeing something in Cash she was never expecting.
I enjoyed this “ex’s best friend” story. Cash has been in love with Callie for years and yet his loyalty to his friend has kept him at a distance. Now he can’t seem to stay away, but what will happen to his friendship and most importantly, the business they share together, if news of their relationship gets out?
Callie had a real struggle on her hands but she was strong and determined despite the emotional obstacles that stood in her way. Cash was wonderful! He was so caring and supportive of her every step of the way. I loved when his alpha tendencies arose! I was so curious how this whole situation was going to sort itself out because it felt like someone was going to lose along the way. The ending was maybe a tad bit tidy and smooth for the circumstances, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
This was a well-paced read that had some great secondary characters, some of which I wanted to push out of a fast running car. The heat level was steamy and oh so good with some dirty talk, which I LOVE, thrown in and the chemistry between Callie and Cash was at overload. There’s an epilogue that only covers a few weeks, so I would’ve liked a further look into their future, but I closed this book feeling happy and sated and again, so pleased with this author’s work.

Holy freakin’ Hades!!! This book! There are just no words! This book stirred up so many emotions then one by one plucked them from their hiding placesHoly freakin’ Hades!!! This book! There are just no words! This book stirred up so many emotions then one by one plucked them from their hiding places and flung them out in front of me to face them in all their messy glory. It was a painfully beautiful journey and I swear to any and all entities that I will never forget this amazing story!
My suggestion is to avoid reviews that give too much away. While it’s not a matter of constant twists and turns, the best part of this book is never knowing what’s going to happen next. Just settle back and let this author introduce you to her characters. They are incredible. Broken and imperfect but exactly what they needed to be to face their inner demons. Then be prepared to hold on emotionally as she takes you on a ride through a desperate and desolate plain where there is no hope to be found at its conclusion. Even the sparks of promise you glimpse along the way will always be overshadowed by the despair these characters live with.
This is a wonderfully written story full of depth. The angst is off the charts, the romance a welcome reprieve in the darkness and the secondary characters gaining a place in my heart without consuming the story. There are not enough stars for this book and I’m already feeling the mega book hangover Crazy Madly Deeply is going to leave me with.

For Vivienne, time is running out to build the perfect family. Mr. Right is nowhere in sight and the hot cab driver she just spent the night with is definitely not him. Their age difference alone is enough to clue her in to that fact. So with a tin of muffins, a smile, and a distracting kiss goodbye, she sends him on his way. Three months later, and still no hope in sight, she finds her cab driver once again in charge of getting her home. She may have long term goals that Jason will never fit into, but she’s certainly going to enjoy him while she can.
Jason was gone on Vivienne from the first moment she crawled into his car. After a night of intense pleasure and a connection he’s never felt with another woman, he’s shocked to find himself being the dumped rather than the dumpee the following morning. However, when the opportunity arises to see her again he takes the chance and the rest is history. Well, not exactly. There’s a lot of crazy that goes in between their re-connection and their happy ever after and I loved every minute of it.
Despite the conflicts this couple faced, this was such a fun story. Jason was laid back and easy going with a bit of a jealous, possessive streak in him. He might have been younger than Vivienne but that never deterred him from wanting her.
Vivienne had some issues she had to work through but she had the help of her friends and co-workers to assist her when she got caught up in her own head. They were freaking hilarious. There’s a bit of a twist to their story that I’ve never read before and I was fully invested in finding out how things were going to work out between this couple.
This is a fast paced read with some intense steam and a wonderful connection between the hero and heroine. I would’ve liked to have seen a bit more of them together, and a little less of the friends but I enjoyed the friends so much I can’t really complain. There’s a nice little epilogue that takes us into the future a few years and made me a very happy reader!

I loved the way this couple not only met, but remet again. The way they connected each time and their determination to not let it affect them is why I keep coming back to this writer’s work. On the surface each character refuses to accept the other person. They push and push again until inevitably, they give into the pull that they are fighting against. And then holy heck, the pages lit up with fire as the hero and heroine yield to their desires.
This is a short, fast paced read but written in a way that I didn’t feel short changed with the storyline. I was disappointed when it was over because I loved this couple so much!

I’ve been waiting for Wapi’s story from the moment he first stepped onto the page. His past with Lindsey is wrought with pain and heartache for both of them. I liked that they were both struggling with strong emotions. For Wapi it was his own actions along with guilt and for Lindsey it was actions that were out of her control.
Lindsey’s feisty nature and Wapi’s fierce loyalty was everything that I love. Their sizzling heat was the icing on top without overrunning the story. This is a rich and layered storyline that kept me reading when I needed to set it aside. The characters, drama and mystery kept me completely captivated and the characters from so many of this author’s other series had me absolutely giddy.
While this could be read as a stand alone, I recommend you read the previous books.
Dual POV Safe (view spoiler)[ no ow/om relationship drama; h/H were attracted to each other but never had a physical or dating relationship but H left 4 yrs ago - during that time H tried one time to be with someone else and it turned out awful and he never tried again - I do not recall any information about h being with anyone during those years but I suspect she was not due to the incident that occurred prior to H leaving (hide spoiler)] Triggers (view spoiler)[ assault in the past, no fine details and not on page (hide spoiler)] Steam (view spoiler)[ 4 /5; explicit; condoms and birth control used (hide spoiler)]

I loved all the characters, especially since many are old friends from the previous books. But I absolutely adored West and Sophie.
Sophie was easy to connect with and her attempt to make sure her sister was moving forward in life endeared her to me. West’s story line often had me welling up with emotion. He had been through more than any one person should ever have to endure and I longed for him to find his perfect “happily ever after”.
This is a second chance romance with flashbacks to the beginning of things and then following through the years afterwards. They were clearly marked and I found them to be the perfect tool to connect me with the struggle and angst that each character had suffered. Along with those moments of deep emotion, this is filled with the perfect amount of humor and plenty of steam making this a well rounded read and deeply satisfying.
This can be read as a stand alone bu better understood with the series. Dual POV Safe (view spoiler)[ no ow/om drama; there is about a 7 year period from time the h/H are no longer together and their relationship renewal; during that time,h marries and is widowed, she has an affair with om who never causes drama or separation in the story, she also has one night with H; H is with a few women during the years before his one night with h - he finds those times distasteful; after his night with h he remains celibate (hide spoiler)] Triggers (view spoiler)[ death of a friend; infertility but ultimately does not concern the couple (hide spoiler)] Steam (view spoiler)[ 3 /5; explicit (hide spoiler)]

With Kat’s past traumatic events and her resulting change, Jayce had a lot to overcome. He had his own insecurities and guilt regarding what had happened. I ached as they struggled independently and together.
This is fraught with a dark danger that remains out of reach. With both new characters and those we’ve already met and loved, this book took twists and turns I never saw coming. The steam level was scorching and the ending was satisfying.
Multi POV Safe (view spoiler)[ no ow/om drama; he was her first, neither are with anyone else during the year they're apart, however, the H does admit he wanted to be able to be with someone else but couldn't bring himself to even kiss them (hide spoiler)] Triggers (view spoiler)[ intent to rape, assault (hide spoiler)] Steam (view spoiler)[ 5 /5; explicit; no condoms used but he tells her she would have to be in heat to get pregnant (hide spoiler)] ...more
I went into this without reading anything about it. No blurb, teasers, or reviews. And holy Thanatos! I wasn’t prepared for it. At all.

This is a fast read that has the feel of a more girthy book. Clementine is such a sweet heroine. I connected with her immediately. Her relationship with Thanatos warmed my heart even though I was eventually broken by their story. I will say that this is the first book with this type of ending that I found to be uplifting even as my eyes filled with tears.

Ms. Spade always wins me over and this time she did so in the most heart wrenchingly beautiful way.

Noah and Charlotte are both dealing with issues that have left them feeling broken and incomplete. They are each weighted down in mire without any hope of moving forward. I was anticipating their first meeting and when it came I loved that within a few short moments they had each imprinted their memory on the other.
What followed is a story that only Ms. Scott can provide. It is filled with moments that had me smiling as well as times that I swooned over their interactions. It also had moments so intense I could barely breathe through them and the type of angst that held me captive as this couple struggled to find what they needed to move onward.
I highly recommend this to anyone who likes an emotional read that will settle into your heart and leave you all the better for it.

However, I found myself surprisingly invested from the beginning. I loved the way they slowly fell in love even as I was anxious over how Jade's truth would be revealed and William's reaction to it.
This is written from the heroine's point of view only and it was killing me not knowing what the hero was thinking. It definitely added a bit more angst to the story. This is fast paced but well fleshed out. The chemistry between this couple feels real and is absolutely electric.

I'm loving this series! It includes subgenres of romance that are seldom covered and are often difficult to enjoy. These, however, are written in a way that leaves me wanting more.
Heroine POV Safety (view spoiler)[ no om drama; ow is h's sister but there was nothing physical between her and H and she did not cause any actual drama or separation between h/H; h not a virgin; H not a man whore (hide spoiler)] Triggers (view spoiler)[ painful family issues (hide spoiler)] Steam (view spoiler)[ 4 /5; explicit; No condom due to sleepy sex but discuss birth control going forward (hide spoiler)]

Jane and Adrian (and Leo) had me laughing out loud from their first meeting. Adrian's inner voices this author gives to her characters was hilarious! I'm going to have a hard time watching any scenes with Yoda in the future.
Despite the raucous humor that runs through this story, there were a few real issues that both Adrian and Jane had to work through in their own lives. With a nice little twist I never saw coming, I was thrilled how things worked out for each of them separately and together as a couple.
This is a fast read that I gobbled down in one afternoon. The chemistry is real, even if it did make me laugh, and the growing relationship was one I was cheering for. Everything by these authors leaves me smiling and content when I turn the last page. I highly recommend this if you like hard core romantic comedy.

Marly was such a sassy fireball that immediately had Wade snapping at attention. She was everything a grumpy hero could ever need and more. I loved that she brought him out of his disgruntled outlook and into a whole new way of living life.
In the process of trying to not let Crazy Marley affect him, Wade did the complete opposite and fell fast and hard. He was such a strong alpha male with his protective ways. It hit all the right spots for me. I love when a hero is ferocious in his protection and that was exactly what Wade was.
This is filled with lots of fun and laughter, great friends and characters that made me feel like I was a part of the small community. There was a time or two the angst ratcheted up and my heartstrings were definitely pulled or I feared for what might happen. It was perfectly written and had a nice meaty feel to it all. This is a book that I would highly recommend for any reason when looking for a quality romance.

Constantine is tOh my gosh!!! This book is literally EVERYTHING I crave! I struggle to even find the words how much I loved this story so much.
Constantine is the commander of warriors who have fought a long and hard war. He has always kept his eyes on his promised prize. Delphine. I loved that his reaction to her was the fast and furious swelling of want, desire and need. While he battled against his own internal conflict, he never wamted his issue with her father to affect his actions with her in a hurtful way.
Delphine was young in experience but more than willing to learn anything Constantine wanted to teach her. And if he wasn’t going to do it, she’d teach herself. I loved her innocence, her natural naivete and the way that her simple curiosity brought him to his knees.
This couple lights up the pages and yet retains its feeling of sweet innocence. There is a dark edge of danger as well and all of it together pulled me into this new and amazing world. I didn’t want it to end and I’m anxiously awaiting the next in the series.
