This was such a hilariously amazing read. Stylo had me totally engrossed in this story and laughing every step of the way. This is one wild and zanny ride.
I love the versatility of this author. I just never quite know what I'm going to get, but I've enjoyed every single one of her books that I've read and I'm adding this one to the pile. Let's pause here as I confess for the umpteenth time, I have not read the Kane Series and yes, I'm a bloody idiot and will get to it STAT. I MUST meet Jameson Kane.
For fans of Ms. Stylo, it sorta has the vibe of Best Laid Plans - my absolute fav from this author - but it's different. Jodi and Archer are childhood friends that have gone for years with secret crushes on each other. So much so, their attraction has morphed into that sarcastic, flirty, dirty, over-the-top banter that only two sexual frustrated friends who want to bang their friends can be. You know what I mean.
This tension and the banter -- the f*@king banter - is hilarious, and it's only the icing on the cake because this story has it all. Loads of action, danger, laughter, romance (well sorta in a wacky sort of way) and also sweet moments.
This was one hilarious read and what a way to wrap up a series! For fans of Jana's, you won't be disappointed.

This was one hilarious read and what a way to wrap up a series! For fans of Jana's, you won't be disappointed.
Chloe is simply one original yet adorably quirky heroine. I don't want to spoil any of the Boyd and Chloe fun but what I will say is these two are so cute together. Hilarious, like LOL moments and some of the one liners and corny jokes out of Chloe's mouth had me howling on the train on the way into work. Yes, I got a few 'I'd like to be reading what she's reading' looks.
Boyd is Sophie's half brother, the FBI agent. Va-va-voom. I just adored him and what I loved the most was that Jana didn't give us your typical manwhore hero tamed by the socially awkward good girl. Nope. Boyd's the perfect one! I don't mean that in a roll your eyes, he's too much kind of way. He's just mature, confident, giving, hot and considerate....and did I mention hot?
And it was super fun to have Everly, Sawyer, Sophie and Luke in this one. Everly is a hoot! I totally can tell why she and Chole are BFFs. Thanks Jana for this wonderful series and for putting a perma grin on my face!

I love how this duo brings together their humour and wit with romance and emotion. I'll admit, I totally thought this story was going to play out another way, and at first, I wasn't sure if I was going to be satisfied. There was the concern that my expectations would taint the story.
Fortunately, and no surprise -really, what was I thinking? - Penny and LH gave a wonderfully funny and sweet, with a touch of angst, story. And we got appearances by Sean and Ronan (my fav - swoon), which helped with the fun factor.
While a romcom, it also deals with some harsh realities of the world like alcoholism, teen pregnancy and single parenthood. And all of this was woven beautifully and seamlessly into the tale, making it both lighthearted and real.
If you haven't read this series, you need to!

This was one magnificent follow up to The Bourbon Kings. The saga of the Bradford family continues with the future of their dynasty hanging in the balance as the secrets, trysts, and intrigue unfolds.
This was a push and pull read for me. I was fully engrossed, magically transported to Charlemont, Kentucky; walking the grounds and halls of Easterly with these characters. And as much as I couldn't get enough, I also wanted to slow down my reading. I didn't want it to end.
The writing is superb: descriptive, rich and captivating. The cast of characters are as memorable as they are flawed and lovable, each and every one of them. While already a fan of bourbon - yes I've purchased expensive Kentucky Bourbon and it's worth every drop - JR does a fantastic job of growing my appreciation for the elixir as well as my love of the South.
This story, the writing and the characters was like a mix of The Great Gatsby, anything by Tennessee Williams and dash of Gone with the Wind. This tale has a bit of everything from murder to high stakes poker to diamonds and gold. And the emotions will have you on your knees! The intense relationships, lost loves, regrets and second chances.

Before this series, I’d only read one book by Jewel E. Ann and FLOVED it – Undeniably You. When I saw One was coming out but it was recommended to read this series first, I made it my mission to do so. Damn, I’m beyond glad that I did. Forget the story, it’s brilliantly done but I’m not going to talk about it. You NEED to experience it first-hand.
As for the characters and the emotions, this series was wrought with light and dark, good and evil, the capacity to survive and love, and the complexity of the human psyche.
There were so many things going on in this series, so many characters to adore and a few to loathe, which made for an intensely rich, emotionally packed read.
"In a life filled with monsters, their love was a survivor."
The heroine, Jessica/Jillian, and secondary character, Ryn, were different in so many ways but the same in the most important. While both faced the ugliness and brutality of life, they're both survivors. Yes, they had their own weaknesses and their own coping mechanisms but IMO, they both rose above it all.
And the men…Luke, Jude/Jackson and AJ…with each of them, I adored them all for all very different reasons. That’s what I loved about this story. Jewel gave me three heroes to fawn over and fall for. Where Luke was adoration and morality, Jackson was ruthless love and never ending loyalty and AJ was broken love and strength of spirit.
"Love is reckless because true emotions are immune to logic. The most beautiful love stories are often the most tragic.”
I highly recommend this series. You won’t regret meeting the Jack and Jill twins and going on their journey! I’m thrilled I had my girl, Maida, to rant, squee and cry with!

“One day. One Kiss. One moment. One unforgettable memory.”
This is a standalone but also a spin off from Jewel’s Jack & Jill series. I strongly recommend you read the series first. We meet both Lake Jones and Cage Monaghan in that series. They have a brief yet very meaningful encounter. I knew from really early on in reading it that it was going to be among my favs for the year. The feels and connection to both Lake and Cage was palpable, intense and addictive!
Lake is one of those characters that you simply connect with on all levels. She’s hilarious, flawed, real, sweet and utterly lovable. We first meet her in the Jack & Jill series as Luke’s youngest sister. For her young years of 24, she’s already lost her boyfriend and her leg to a tragic car accident. She’s struggled to find herself again, have people see more than her ‘perceived’ limitations and is still struggling with her survivor’s guilt.
“Ben died and I lived.”
Cage is Minnesota’s NFL starting quarterback and also a man who has suffered a lost that he’s chosen not to deal with. I loved Cage in the Jack & Jill series and was thrilled to learn this was his story. Cage is all man, hot and sexy, but he has a vulnerability about him that had me falling hard and fast for him. He’s just one special hero.
And an added bonus, if you’re a fan of AJ in the Jack & Jill Series (Maida ;), seeing Cage’s future is so bittersweet and kinda like another connection to AJ. Perfection!
Cage and Lake’s story starts with one shared moment in time. A moment when they both needed a reason, something more to keep them going, and they were that for each other. Neither forgot the other.
There’s a mix of laughs and sadness although the angst is low and any obstacles for Cage and Lake, I found, were mature and real. These two were so refreshing. Even when they were at odds, there was this strength, bond and love that endured, no matter what.
Jewel weaves so many great themes and messages into this tale about self-worth and image, the fragility of life, the importance of living and the brevity but also the extreme significance of one moment, one person, one love.
This is a MUST READ. It’s going among my favs for the year!

This was like a trip down memory lane with all the musical references that held such special, stand out moments in my youth. Instant connection for me: to the story, the characters, the music. And all of that without the fact that I’m a huge Kristen Callihan fan and go gaga for rock romances!
Killian James, lead singer and guitarist for Kill John, the biggest rock band in the world, literally crashes into Liberty (Libby) Bell’s world. From the first few words, I was hooked. Snickering and loving the snarls and banter between Killian and Libby. These two are loads of fun when they get going.
Libby and Killian develop a friendship as he hides out on the remote island in the outer banks of the Carolinas, where she calls home. And while Libby, at first, unknowingly helps Killian deal with some rather heavy stuff, he also pulls her out of her proverbial shell and dares her to reach for her dream.
The friendship and then the love between these two was sweet, tender and moving. In the world of sex, drugs and rock ‘n roll, where Killian truly is a rock god and idol, what these two have is rare and worth fighting for.
“She’s it for me. It’s a done deal.” I’ve been hers since the second she hosed me down and woke me up. “My life doesn’t work anymore without her in it.”
“I’m half in love with a man who will drift through my life like smoke in the wind.”
Of course, the music world, while magnetic, addictive and beautiful, can also tear you apart. Both Killian and Libby grapple with finding their space and footing together and do stumble along the way.
As anticipated, Kristen delivers a Grammy award-worthy story. She hits all the notes and rocks the house with her lovable, real characters - both main and secondary, clever dialogue and stirring and tender feels. This was music porn and one sweet romance! Totally rocked!!

Jane Chapman's an orphan who grew up in the foster care system. Taking care of herself is second nature and alone is the only thing she know4.25 STARS
Jane Chapman's an orphan who grew up in the foster care system. Taking care of herself is second nature and alone is the only thing she knows. Then there's two sexy alpha males, Maxwell Emerson and Wesley Uhler. Max and Wes are together but not openly out as a couple. Max comes from a wealthy and prominent family with highly political aspirations. Max's best known as a TV anchorman and being gay or bisexual is the last thing his family wants. Wes, on the other hand, is a world-renowned chef who knows what he wants and isn't afraid to take it. He owns who he is and who he loves.
When Jane comes face-to-face with Max and Wes in the throes of passion, she's hooked.
"It was like I was mesmerized by it… two grown men in love… two men fucking.”
Their story is sexy, hot and complicated. I loved each of these characters. Jane for her strength but also her free spirit. Max for his commanding presence and his internal struggle with how he feels and what he wants. And finally, Wes for just being the sexiest, demanding and yet sweet man. What I really enjoyed about this triad was how they fit together. All three of them, balanced and complimented each others' strengths and shortfalls.
The only thing that prevented me from rating this 5 stars, and it could've easily been that for me, was the ending. I'm usually lenient on this trope but in this instance, I was disappointed. It felt a bit cliche and also potentially sets up misunderstandings and heartache down the road. I'll admit, I might be jumping the gun but I'll just have to wait and see!
I definitely recommend this for fans of MM, MWM, anything taboo or that doesn't quite fight society's conventional norms. You should read this! This was a first for Amelia LeFay (JJ McAvoy's pen name) and I'll definitely be reading more. I look forward to book 2.

Up front I must say, this is different than Finley and I'll admit, I did go in with the yearning for the same thing because Ella captured the longing, hurt and love between those two so well. I was seriously a puddle of goo after Finn and Brantley.
So, in the beginning this was an okay read. I'd had such high hopes for the lust-hate hinted at between Derek and Jordan, the best friends of the MCs in Finley, that when that was just one small part of them I was let down. But, a switch flipped for me at some point...
and I realized the error of my thinking. This wasn't Finn and his professor nor should I want the same old, same old! Derek and Jordan were similar to those two in that it was professor and student but that was it. These two were complex and complete opposites yet they fit.
There was such depth to their relationship, friends before lovers and each other's peace. And the banter between these two was funny. I loved how they could feel so much for each other and yet put each other in their place with humour. Their relationship was special, deep and the chemistry was sizzling!
And Ella, don't know if you have plans for more from Sunset Cove but if you're looking for suggestions...Dylan! Dylan! Dylan! He was Derek's roommate and this sexy, friendly and mysterious man had me wondered what his story was.

This book is a Grand Slam! Bases fully loaded, batter up knocks it out of the park, home run!! **Crowd Goes Wild**!!!! Kate Stewart is a fav-author, a go-to, and when I heard she was writing a Sports Romance/RomCom, I could not wait!! Boy, did she deliver!!
This was nostalgic, reliving my youth, as I’m a huge John Hughes fan. Kate dedicates this book to him [and Patty – yay!]. I grew up on his teen movies. The film references alone make this a hit, but barely scratches the surface of all the awesomeness of this book!
Alice Blake is a pilot and flight instructor, Queen of Google (you have to read the book to get it) and a nerd with a quest to take life by the horns. She lives a repressed, sheltered life back in Ohio and is now embarking on a new journey with a new home and new job in Charleston.
This is where she meets Rafe ‘Bullet’ Hembrey, minor league pitcher, team star, and all around hottie. This is Rafe’s year –hopefully being called up to the major league. Baseball in Rafe's blood and making the major league is THE dream.
When he meets Alice, she certainly gets his attention but he’s not looking for serious. He wants to fuck her. He doesn’t have time for a relationship, his career comes first. Alice can't deny the attraction to Rafe and if she's honest, she wants more but she also doesn't want her heart broken. The two embark on a friendship that grows into…well, you get the picture.
Rafe is a magnificent hero. Let’s see, he’s a sexy athlete, cocky, funny and got heart. What more could you ask for? And Alice is simply irresistible. I just got Alice. She was funny, lovable and oh so adorable.
“I’m not sure what you want me to think of you, Rafe.” “I’m pretty sure I just want you to think of me, Alice.”
This book had EVERYTHING I love in an awesome read! Laughs, the squees and the swoons, sweetness, angst, a connection to both characters and the story. If you haven’t experience Kate Stewart yet, what are you waiting for?! This is a must read.

This is the second book I've read by Aly Martinez. Like the first book in this series and my first read, The Fall Up, I loved it! And like I said last time, I MUST read more from this author. I've got several of her books on my Kindle and I'm moving them up.
Henry Alexander was the oh so unforgettable BFF in The Fall Up and this is his story. He's a superstar singer and an openly gay man whose biggest thrill is conquering straight men. Or at least bringing them to his side, if only for one romp in the hay. Evan Roth's the pilot brought into save the day, both figuratively and literally, when Henry's pilot is unable to fly and he must get to his next tour stop, like yesterday!
Evan doesn't like labels. He sees a person for who they are not their gender. I simply adore him. Actually, liked I've said before, I love both these guys. Seriously, you won't be able to resist. Naturally, Evan and Henry are draw to each other like magnets. At first, for Henry it's the usual thrill. He thinks Evan's as straight as an arrow and he'd love nothing more than to get him into bed. For Evan, he can't deny the attraction but he's sworn off men, one-on-one. He's once bitten, once shy. His heart is broken and sealed up tight. But he doesn't know Henry Alexander...
I loved Henry and his lines!! OMG, I was in tears of laughter. I'd love nothing more than to grab a bottle of wine and gab with this man. He'd have me peeing my pants. Seriously!
This was such an amazingly wonderful read. The feels, the character development, the writing....I could go on. It made me laugh, cry and swoon. Couldn't get enough of these two. Their intensity both in the bedroom and out was palpable and enviable. I can't recommend this book and this series enough. It's a MUST READ !!

All you JA Huss fans out there, if you haven't already heard, she's giving us a brand new series!! The Mister series with 5 books. All are standalones and can be read in any order until the final book! Then Julie promises a huge surprise! Of course, it wouldn't be a JA Huss book with some twist, surprise or reveal.
McAllister (Mac) Stonewall is a billionaire. Self-assured, confident, commanding...pretty much perfect. Ellie Hatcher's the girl next door and all kinds of adorable. She's quirky, funny and maybe a little crazy. But a good kind of crazy!
This was a fun read with loads of HOT sex! I'm not kidding you. This is an office romance like you've only fantasized about or maybe you're just one lucky bitch and have had the pleasure of experiencing the sexual heights like Mac and Ellie! Together, they're naughty [image]
In true Julie fashion, she gives us stand out characters: each and every one of them, in completely different ways. Ellie's your good friend. The one you hang out with, get advice from and chastise for not listening to her own sage words. You only want the best for her even when she's got her head in the clouds. This girl had me chuckling at all her craziness but I loved her to bits.
And Mac...he's another one of Julie's heroes that has you dropping your panties without hesitation. He's not dark like many of her other heroes but there's an edge to him. And he's all alpha with a presence that's just so damn sexy.
I've marked my calendar and am looking forward to my dates with all of these misters. It's no secret that I enjoy Julie's stories. All are well-written, sexy, entertaining and no two are like. I'm betting it's going be hard to choose THE mister for me because I'm likely going to love them all. What can I say, I'm greedy that way! Bring on Mr. Romantic!

I had to sit with this wonderfully delightful read for several days before I could put my thoughts down. Why? Because I was on cloud nine. This was another awesome book from the dynamic duo!! I loved every minute of this.
To say I love this series would be a mild understatement. Let me start by saying, Ronan Fitzpatrick, from The Hooker and the Hermit,...
Okay, now that we have that out of the way, let’s get on with the review. Yes, I know we’re not talking about the first book! Sean Cassidy, the outcast of the Irish Rugby team and a major thorn in Ronan's side, in the end, came close to Ronan but not quite. But even at that, Sean was divine. Lucy Fitzpatrick, Ronan’s wild and free younger sister was simply amazing.
Sean and Lucy were an unlikely pair, with Sean as the snobby insensitive playboy and Lucy as the fun loving free spirit. But these two have so much in common on the inside. The fact that Lucy can see past Sean’s thick, black and nasty walls to the sweet, kind and caring man, says a lot. And Sean not only sees Lucy’s vibrancy with her rainbow coloured hair, he also sees her bright and shining light on the inside. Their relationship was light, sexy and fun but also very deep and emotional. Both of them undergo a transformation as their relationship grows and as the reader, I bonded with both Sean and Lucy and grew to love them both dearly as individuals and as a couple.
Of course, because we’re talking the dynamo team of LH and Penny, these two don’t give you the run of the mill story. While Sean is gorgeous and sexy, definitely considered a catch by many a woman, he’s clueless in the sack. Like really bad!

This is the sequel to Andrea Smith’s These Men which came out in the Bend Anthology. It's about Paige Matthews, Taz's *sigh* younger sister and all around wild child. It's a year later and Paige is now part of a triad relationship: three people, two males and one female, with sexy golden boy, Eli chambers and the sinful dark angel, Cain Maddox.
I'd really enjoyed These Men and thrilled to see that Andrea was giving us another peek at these three were getting on. They were still scorching hot, loving and oh so sexy but what I loved the most about this was to see how all three of them had grown, especially Paige, into a loving, healthy, mature relationship.
I delighted in Andrea giving us a front row seat as to how they navigate insecurities, all relationships have them, and how they deal when life throws them a curve ball. This unexpected surprise comes in the form of Eli's past that forces them to deal with parenthood, owning who they are, and growing together.
This was sexy, sweet, sad, funny and oh so hot! Just love how Eli, Cain and Paige embody the beauty of love in its many forms. If you loved These Men, like MM or want to try something different, this is a short delicious treat and well worth the read!

Having the chance to visit with my favourite bunch of legal eagles was so much fun. And Jake Becker *sigh*...in true Jake fashion, he's still sexy-as-fuck and hilarious. I just adore how he says it like it is and is just an amazing father. There were so many sweet, hilarious and real moments, especially around parenting. Emma captured so perfectly the frustrations but also the pure beauty of being a parent. And some of the lines!!

Griffin Shipley and Audrey Kidder have history. A couple hooks-up in college and then they both went their own ways. But when fate, circumstance or just plain old life has them meeting again, they both can't forget the hot chemistry that brought them together in the first place. And they can't deny that it's still there.
If you're a foodie or have a real appreciation for food to table cooking, nature, produce and sexy farmers, you'll really enjoy this! Griffin is sexy and an all around stand up guy. Seriously, you can't help but love him. And Audrey is funny, determined and cute. These two together were a lot of fun.
This is a romance novel at it's best. In it’s simplicity of execution with lovable characters, a good paced, straightforward story with laughs, romance and not much angst.
