As for the rest of the book. I know this is an "interconnected standalone book in a series" but I didn't like the fact that the first half of the book was basically a retelling of book 1 but from the viewpoint of Chloe (and obviously some details left out). So for someone who's already read book 1...it was a little boring. Sorry! Don't hate me!

So...I tried to read this TWICE and DNF'd it both times. I really liked the book HOWEVER...and I don't think this is really a spoiler because it happens right at the beginning and is clearly what Cassian is about from the start. The ONE thing I will not read is cheating. I can handle all other "triggers" except that. And to be clear, he does NOT cheat. But...even at the start of the book there is attraction between the two of them yet he still has s*x with other women (until he doesn't). So...yeah. Just be aware if you're sensitive to that!...more
