Frankie is the breath of fresh air Jackson didn’t know he needed. These two are perfect together! So much happens in this story. It’s filled with suspense, revenge, and the drive to live life. It’s explosive and captivating and I didn’t want it to end.
The writing is simply beautiful. I love how Jewel can have my stomach in knots one minute and smiling and laughing the next. Frankie and Jackson will take root in your heart. The feelings Jewel can pull from you is immense and a beautiful gift. I could not put this book down.

There are a lot of moving pieces to this story! While working to find a missing child and a fugitive on the loose, this story also held a lot of mystery behind Sunshine’s past and her own abduction. Sunshine has some amnesia regarding this and is starting to remember pieces. She has secretly been investigating this herself. The ending sure left me anxious to get to the next book.
Sunshine Levi’s relationship is super intriguing. Sunshine has been in love with Levi since they were kids. Levi is very complex, cares a lot and protects his family, but is very broody and has a bad boy vibe to him. There were a lot of hints surrounding these two and I can’t wait to see what is to come here and what secrets are uncovered.
This story has great relationships. I loved Sunshine and her daughter Auri’s relationship. There was a lot of emotion surrounding their past and I love their bond. The bond between Sunshine and her best friend Quincy is fun. I also enjoy that he’s her deputy and the dynamic they have going on. The relationship between Auri and Levi and Jimmy was just so heartwarming. I love how that unfolded and seeing what a bond they had.

This story is a roller coaster of emotions. Jacinta and Mason both have tragic pasts that stem from domestic abuse. This story is filled with emotions and the flashbacks for both Jacinta and Mason were hard to read but is a truth and reality for many people.
I love the way Jacinta and Mason first meet. I love the banter and wit between them. They are so fun together and the way they heal each other is just breathtaking.
The supporting characters in this story all burrow into your heart. Mason’s son Blake will melt your heart as will Jacinta and her relationship with her brother Connor. What a beautiful group of family and friends. Very much looking forward to Connor’s story.

I loved seeing into everyone’s lives and all the kids and love. I especially loved the 2 twirl moment and the remembrance of Andi. Such a great series!

Goodness! I just love this series sooooo much! Dante & El are amazing! Dante, so full of rage and El, so full of fear. They come together so beautifully! They have such a delicious slow burn that turns explosive.

My heart. I have to say, I was really nervous to read this story. Andi is one of my favorite characters and she and Sergio had a love that I just didn’t want to move on from. While Elude crushed me, watching Sergio try to navigate his grief in this story, was just as heavy.
Empire had my emotions all over the place. Val is thrust into a world she knew nothing of. She’s vulnerable and trying to come to terms with her life being upended. Sergio doesn’t want to move on. He doesn’t want to forget or erase Andi. There were so many difficult, heartbreaking, and heartfelt moments in this story. Val feeling weak, not feeling worthy or good enough, Sergio so tortured and fighting guilt and his emotions. It is so raw. Val is a beautiful, innocent soul, and watching her worm her way into Sergio’s heart was endearing. She has a presence about her, a kindness and warm heart that only wants to help him heal. Their journey is filled with heartache, friendship, understanding, and love.
The way the events in this book unfold is beautiful. Such a carefully woven plot filled with so many emotions. What Andi does for Sergio, the way she loves him and, even in her death still continues to ensure he finds his way, brought so many tears.
As always, Rachel Van Dyken perfectly blends pieces of wit and humor with all the heavy. This mafia family has a bond so intense you feel it in every moment. The laughs, the tears, the camaraderie, it melts your heart watching them always have each others backs.
An emotionally raw story of finding peace, living, healing, and love. Another fantastic story of this series.

What a story. Danger, murder, mayhem, and a love so piercing even Sergio couldn’t deny no matter how hard he tried. Thank goodness for the witty banter Rachel Van Dyken always infuses into her stories. There were some scenes I’m not sure I would have made it through without it.

Fantastic!! Phoenix was my most anticipated story! My heart broke for him. Seeing him in this story, how broken, how tortured he is, everything he went through that made him who is, it was heart wrenching.

I love Bee! I love her tenacity, I love her full of life attitude, I love how fun she is, but most of all, I love how she loves Phoenix so fully. She holds no judgment, she sees the good in him, and I love how she pushes Phoenix to see it too.
There were some great turning points with the mafia bosses and the FBI, great reveals, and good tension and suspense. I love the humor Rachel Van Dyken plants throughout the story mixed with the angst and conflicts.
This series just keeps getting better. I love the bonds and humor between these guys. Fantastic story and I can’t wait now to dive into Sergio’s. I have a feeling it’s going to be a rough one.

I loved watching Anna’s growth throughout this story. It is tremendous and she comes a long way. Eric is a dream! And while his sometimes-wrong words could be unintentionally harsh, his right words completely melt your heart. He loves so hard, and I love how he always wants the best for Anna and for her to live her dream.
These two have some serious vulnerable moments. Their relationship is a whirlwind, spans time, and is filled with maturity growth, wistfulness, and love. It’s fun and flirty with a nice mix of emotions that will leave you smiling and your heart full.
