Dane! Grumpy with a capital G. He had a traumatic past and he has a guarded wall up to not let anyone too close, except his siter, and coach & his wife. He’s worked hard to provide for his sister and ensure she lives her best life. He’s a protector, and under that rough exterior is a truly gentle soul.
Josie, the sunshine to Dane’s grumpy. She lights up a room with her fun-loving attitude, she’s sassy, and she loves to tease Dane. She’s a bit lost herself, navigating rocky waters with her mom and journeying out to a new, unexpected life.
These two are fire! They get each other. The see each other. Watching them help each other through rough times and begin to trust and open up is beautiful. I love these fantastic characters, and what a great plot filled with secrets, emotions, and vulnerability.
I love the team’s dynamic. They are fun and always there for each other and their group chats always make me chuckle. This is such an enjoyable hockey series.

I’m not sure I can adequately put into words my love of this series and this story. What a beautiful, emotional journey. It’s full of hurt and pain but so full of healing and trust and love.
Frankie is the breath of fresh air Jackson didn’t know he needed. These two are perfect together! So much happens in this story. It’s filled with suspense, revenge, and the drive to live life. It’s explosive and captivating and I didn’t want it to end.
The writing is simply beautiful. I love how Jewel can have my stomach in knots one minute and smiling and laughing the next. Frankie and Jackson will take root in your heart. The feelings Jewel can pull from you is immense and a beautiful gift. I could not put this book down.

This story is a roller coaster of emotions. Jacinta and Mason both have tragic pasts that stem from domestic abuse. This story is filled with emotions and the flashbacks for both Jacinta and Mason were hard to read but is a truth and reality for many people.
I love the way Jacinta and Mason first meet. I love the banter and wit between them. They are so fun together and the way they heal each other is just breathtaking.
The supporting characters in this story all burrow into your heart. Mason’s son Blake will melt your heart as will Jacinta and her relationship with her brother Connor. What a beautiful group of family and friends. Very much looking forward to Connor’s story.

What a story. Danger, murder, mayhem, and a love so piercing even Sergio couldn’t deny no matter how hard he tried. Thank goodness for the witty banter Rachel Van Dyken always infuses into her stories. There were some scenes I’m not sure I would have made it through without it.
