Dane! Grumpy with a capital G. He had a traumatic past and he has a guarded wall up to not let anyone too close, except his siter, and coach & his wife. He’s worked hard to provide for his sister and ensure she lives her best life. He’s a protector, and under that rough exterior is a truly gentle soul.
Josie, the sunshine to Dane’s grumpy. She lights up a room with her fun-loving attitude, she’s sassy, and she loves to tease Dane. She’s a bit lost herself, navigating rocky waters with her mom and journeying out to a new, unexpected life.
These two are fire! They get each other. The see each other. Watching them help each other through rough times and begin to trust and open up is beautiful. I love these fantastic characters, and what a great plot filled with secrets, emotions, and vulnerability.
I love the team’s dynamic. They are fun and always there for each other and their group chats always make me chuckle. This is such an enjoyable hockey series.

This story is very entertaining!! Between the banter and role playing, the backstabbing and manipulation, family drama, and good old grandpa, I couldn’t put this story down. Mixed with anguish and vulnerability, this story will have you flipping the pages to see what is going to happen next!
I enjoyed this story so much, but I still have one burning question that never got answered that I hope is followed up in Hunter’s story. Considering all the animosity between Hunter and the other siblings, if Hunter is so disregarded by everyone, what was the reason for Alex to give Hunter the heads up on what the three of them were planning?? Then, the question was asked if it was thought that Alex was trying to sabotage them and then nothing was brought up again about it from there. I am so ready for Hunter’s story, and I can’t wait to see what Laurelin has in store for him!
I love that the banter and humor never stops. And wow, the chemistry between Adly & Ax is smoking!!! These two see each other and watching their guards fall the way they help each other grow is beautiful. A fun and sizzling story with a lot of emotion and heart.

The story flows flawlessly with flashbacks to the past that help us see just how strong of a bond Callie and Lewis share and what happened that they grew apart. Samantha Young does a wonderful job of showcasing growing up and maturing and she sure makes you feel. I teared up a few different times throughout this story. There are some truly beautiful and heartfelt moments.
One of my favorite things about this series is the family bonds between everyone- parents, children, and siblings, as well as the camaraderie of family and friends, it’s so profound.

It’s about trauma, and trust, and healing. It held me captive from the start trying to put the pieces together. It’s thought provoking and emotional. Fantastic!

Ricky and Marilyn grew up together and have history. The tension between them is wound tight. Marilyn hasn’t forgiven Ricky for breaking her heart all those years ago, but these two have a chemistry that can’t be denied. I loved how Marilyn helped Ricky through his insecurities and how Ricky fights so hard for Marilyn. These two have such cute banter.
