Tiene un humor que no agradará a todo el mundo. Es un humor absurdo. En mi caso es un humor que me ha hecho reír en numerosas ocasiones a pesar de que los libros difícilmente me hacen reír.
Creo que es una mezcla interesante la de ciencia ficción y comedia.
Mi recomendación con este libro es: leed el prólogo. Si no os gusta entonces tal vez lo mejor es que no sigáis leyendo. Personalmente, el prólogo me enamoró y supe que necesitaba leer el resto del libro.
Una aventura espacial llena de comedia. Muy recomendable.

Este libro me ha encantado. Los personajes me han parecido geniales. Monty es un personaje bastante desastre, al que se le da muy bien meterse en líos. Es impulsivo, hace lo que le apetece cuando le apetece sin pensar en las consecuencias. Pero lo hace sin caer en el prototipo del "chico malo". Es un soplo de aire fresco tener un personaje principal masculino muy lejos de ser perfecto, que va aprendiendo a lo largo de la novela pero sin perder en ningún momento su esencia. Esto no va de chico desastre que se convierte en chico responsable. Monty es como es pero va evolucionando.
Había oído decir en algunas reseñas que Felicity "sobraba" de la historia al menos al principio. Yo nunca lo sentí así aunque es cierto que durante una parte de la novela desconocemos las motivaciones de este personaje y no aparece demasiado así que no se sabe si va a ser un personaje "de pega". Pero resulta no ser así y no sabéis lo mucho que esto me alegró. Felicity es un buen contrapunto en la novela para Monty. Plantea otra problemática de la época y está muy bien construida e integrada en la historia. Sin ella creo que a la historia le hubiese faltado algo.
Y Percy. Oh Percy. Él también hace balanza con el personaje de Monty, ofreciendo un punto de vista más realista y sensato. Las circunstancias de Percy y Monty son muy diferentes aunque ambos se vayan juntos en el tour y Monty los vea como iguales. Percy es un chico de color y las personas a las que se encuentran a lo largo de su viaje les tratan de manera muy diferente.
La historia de amor es muy bonita y a mí no me ha parecido empalagosa (y eso que me resultan empalagosas a menudo). Me ha encantado. No hay instalove como tal porque Monty está enamorado de Percy desde antes de que empiece la novela. Ese elemento me ha gustado porque nos va mostrando cómo se van desarrollando sus sentimientos. Ay no sé, en serio, me ha encantado esta parte.
Y además hay bastante diversidad. Monty es bisexual. Hay un personaje de color: Percy. Aparecen personajes de todos los niveles sociales. También nos muestra las preocupaciones de una mujer de la época a través de Felicity. (Y más cosas que no añado por no hacer spoiler). Y todo está perfectamente integrado en la historia.
Hay acción, comedia, romance... En serio, me ha encantado. Si os apetece leer un libro juvenil de aventuras con un romance muy cuqui que también os haga pensar un poco, aquí lo tenéis....more
