When I’m in the mood for a quick, sexy, read- Kendall Ryan is one of my go-to authors. I listened to the audio book of Torrid Little Affair and it didn’t disappoint. It was a short and steamy read and just what I was hoping for. It also didn’t hurt that one of my favorite narrators, Zachary Webber, narrated Cooper!
Cooper Kingsley has had his heart broken… by his brother’s girl. It’s not a good place to be. But you know what they say, the best way to get over someone is to get under someone else. Cooper’s new assistant, Corinne fits the bill. Corinne and Cooper start with a sex only relationship, but with time, things between them start to evolve.
Corinne is one of those heroines with a huge heart and that became apparent pretty early on. I thought she was wonderful. Cooper and Corinne were a great match with tons of chemistry. I always love when the feelings start to change and grow and getting to watch that. Watching Cooper Kingsley really truly fall for a girl was a sight to behold.
Torrid Little Affair was a great listen, and I sped through to finish it. I hope there is one more book in this series, because I would love to get a book about the oldest Kingsley brother, Quinn! ...more

I was in the mood for a holiday story since I hadn’t read one yet this year. After seeing the preview for the new film,The Trouble with Mistletoe, I decided this would be the holiday book I would read. And of course, the day after I finished the book I watched the film! I have to say, the film was very good and even though it left out a few things, it was close to the book! I LOVED the guy they chose to play Keane. Overall, this was a fun, sweet, and sexy Christmas story! I’ve not read much from Jill Shavis, but from the few books of hers I’ve read, I know she writes feel good stories and who doesn’t want to feel good around the holidays?!
If you’re looking for a entertaining and romantic holiday read, pick up The Trouble with Mistletoe and fall in love with Willa, Keane, and even PITA! x...more

I enjoyed the audio book of The Happiness Project. I always like when authors narrate their own books, and Gretchen Rubin did a nice job with the audio. I listened to the book fairly quickly, it only took me 2 days. On the parts that related to my life, I can give an awesome 4-5 star rating to. Unfortunately, a lot of the book had to do with parenting and other things (not just ones own happiness) and I found myself completely zoning out. Still, it was a solid read and there are parts of it that were insightful and I'll take away and use. ...more

Sometimes that play that wins the game isn’t the safe one. It’s not the pass over the middle that will definitely get you ten yards. It’s the Hail Mary at the end that you toss up with nothing but a prayer.
Lucky Number Eleven is a feel good sports romance that is sweet, sexy, and a lot of fun!
Layla meets Branch Best after she’s just had a break-up with a football player. She’s promised to swear off athletes, but there is something about Branch… Branch and Layla’s brother, Finn, are teammates and close friends. Branch knows that Layla is completely off limits to him. Branch may have a bit of a reputation when it comes to women, and Finn warns him off of his little sister.
Branch and Layla’s chemistry is so strong, neither one of them can head to the ‘off-limits’ warning. I loved watching them together. Their playful banter, fun and sexy time, and of course a bit of a forbidden love story happening. Then this story takes a bit of a twist. I liked the direction it went, it gave the story a bit more depth and more of the feels.
What I enjoyed most about this book was all the different relationships. Not just Branch and Layla, but I loved the Poppy and Finn dynamic. Not just them together, but Finn and Branch’s friendship, as well as Poppy and Layla’s. I love a book with an array of fantastic characters!
I listened to the audiobook of Lucky Number Eleven and I feel like the narrators really brought the story to life. I’ve listened to other books narrated by Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott, and they make a great narration team. I’d definitely recommend the audiobook.
If you’re looking for a brother’s best friend/sports romance with just the right amount of fun, feels, sexy, and sweet- pick this one up! ...more

I listened to the audio book of Missing from Me, and first things first- the narration was fantastic. Jacob Morgan is one of my favorite narrators and he did a great job voicing Sean. This is my first Jayne Frost book and I enjoyed her writing. I struggled with how to rate this book, as there were things about it I did love, but my god this heroine. I consider myself a very ‘easy’ reader. I’m not super picky and I don’t have tons of things that bother me when I read. One of the very few pet peeves that REALLY get to me, this heroine did (view spoiler)[ The heroine and hero had a child together. She found out she was pregnant around the time they split up. And she DIDN’T TELL HIM. Unless the man is abusive or something around those lines, there is NO GOOD REASON for this. For making someone miss out on 4 years of his child's life, and to have your child miss out on having their father for equally as long. IT INFURIATES ME. The level of selfishness this is… well, it’s on an entirely different level in my opinion. Sean was understanding, and that’s great, but to me, something like this is unforgivable (hide spoiler)].
As you can tell if you’ve read the spoiler, this is something I feel passionate about. I do think that not everyone will feel the same way as me, and if that’s not something that’s a deal-breaker for you, you’ll most likely enjoy this book as it was well written and a very entertaining read! I’m looking forward to reading more- if there is a Logan book coming, count me in!!!...more

I feel really depressed after finishing this... not the ending per se, but the entire story. Some parts just hit a little too close. I struggled with the MC. I wasn't sure if I liked her most of the book, but there were some fantastic side characters (Ashely I adored, Josh was great). The book had a lot of flashbacks, which normally I don't love, but I feel like they were important here. This is a powerful read, but it's also very heavy. Saying I enjoyed it doesn't seem like the right term, but overall it was a good read that impacted me. ...more

“I try to be mindful, at all times, of what a difference a small human gesture can make to people in need. What does it really cost to take a moment to look someone in the eye, to give him a hug, to let her know, I get it. You’re not alone?”
Joe Biden is one of those people who have lived an incredible life. He’s done a lot in his lifetime, but he’s also lost a lot. Yet he still manages to be a fun and lovable guy who doesn’t lose his faith and looks on the bright-side.
After listening to this audio book (which was narrated by Joe himself) I have a new level of respect for him. If I would have lived his life, I don’t think I would have had the same strength he’s had. This is a powerful book. A story of one man’s life, his journey, the obstacles he overcame and all the loss he’s had. It’s a book that made me cry loads, but also gave me a lot of hope. I adore Joe Biden and I recommend this touching and heartfelt memoir to all!...more

American Prince wrecked me in the best way possible. That ending… I can’t even. Seriously, you all who read this book when it was first released…. how did you even function? I am so grateful I waited and I was able to jump straight into American King.
This book was not an easy read. I loved it, but it broke my heart and tore me up. These books are super steamy, but also incredible angsty and emotional. This review will be short and sweet because I’m reading American King now, and I need to finish that more than I need to review this LOL!

“Those who don’t know history are doomed to repeat it.”
With Ripples, Romig goes back to her roots. This is a Consequences stand -alone novel, but it carries the same type of suspenseful and deceitful tale. Sure there is romance and steam, but it’s twisty and shocking also.
This is the tale of Natalie Rawlings, Tony and Claire Rawlings youngest daughter. It’s her unconventional love story with Dexter. I’d already read the novella in an anthology, so I was happy to hear we were getting the full story of Nat and Dexter. That was my biggest complaint. Now that I’ve read the entire story, my complaint is that I want a second story! I feel like there is so much more we could know about Natalie, Dexter, and of course, Tony and Claire! I want to see Dexter and Tony together more!
I loved that Romig put a bit of a different spin on this one. Although Natalie is a lot like Claire, and Tony and Dexter have some similarities, their stories are not carbon copies of one another, despite the similar theme.
Aleatha Romig does a great job writing unconventional romance stories that are twisty, suspenseful, and she writes the best heroes that you love to hate and hate to love. For those of you that loved Consequences, be sure to check this one out!...more

“Tell me, spätzchen, how does a man sleep when he’s living his dreams?”
Every time I start a new Kristen Ashely book, I get the warm and fuzzies. The Hookup was a captivating, heartwarming romance. After reading around 50 Kristen Ashely books, I can’t say it was one of my favorites, but I enjoyed it very much!
Johnny and Eliza reminded me of some of the old school KA heroes and heroines. Johnny had that KA alpha attitude. He was sexy, swoony, with a bit of sweetness. Eliza was fun, sweet, and drama free. I loved them together. I loved their chemistry. I loved that there was no over the top drama.
I think most fans of Kristen Ashley will enjoy this book. There really wasn’t anything I didn’t like about it! I listened to the audiobook and the narration was good. It was one of those books I didn’t want to hit pause on. Crossing my fingers the next ‘Moonlight and Motor Oil’ book will be a Toby and Addi book!...more

John Green is one of those authors that always brings the feels. Turtles All the Way Down is a book about mental illness, it’s a book about the power of lifelong friendship, and there is a bit of romance thrown in the mix (though not much).
“I would always be like this, always have this within me. There was no beating it. I would never slay the dragon, because the dragon was also me. My self and the disease were knotted together for life.”
Aza’s story isn’t the easiest to read, and she probably won’t be a relatable character to all people. There were things about her I could relate to, and I loved her voice. I also adored her friend, Daisy. Their friendship was actually my favorite part of this story. I also liked Aza’s mom and the Davis story-line, even though it wasn’t the focus.
Aza’s story was one that made me think, made me feel, and spoke to me. And it’s one of the first John Green books that didn’t make me cry LOL! I listened to the audio version and enjoyed the narration. Once again, Green writes an unforgettable story with a fantastically flawed leading character. I give this one 4 stars....more

Autoboyography is a great coming of age/YA story. This was much different than what I’m used to when I pick up a Christina Lauren novel, but I was pleasantly surprised with how well written it was!
Tanner is a high-school senior who is half-jewish and bisexual. He lives in the mormon capital of the US. Tanner takes a writing class his last year of school and Sebastian, who previously graduated is helping out. Tanner and Sebastian have an instant connection and it goes beyond anything either one of them has ever felt. While Tanner is writing his book, it sort of turns into a story of self discovery and a love-story. His and Sebastian’s love story.
Sebastian Brothers has lived his life trying to please everyone. His family, God, they’re the most important thing to him. He’s tried to overlook the fact that he’s attracted to guys, and overall it hasn’t been too hard to do. Until Tanner. He can’t help it. There is something different about Tanner. Something he can’t stay away from.
These two were so darn sweet together. I loved watching their journey. Even though both of them came from different families and different paths in life, they fell hard for one another.
“I want to know everything about you,” he says into me, frantic now, his mouth moving over my jaw, stubble scraping my neck. “I’ll tell you anything.” “Are you my boyfriend?” he asks, and then sucks my bottom lip before laughing at himself, as if this isn’t the most amazing thing anyone has ever said to me in the history of my life. “Um, yes.” Boyfriend. Yes.
Autoboyography is a sweet first love story, but it’s so much more than that. It’s a story about finding yourself, of pushing the boundaries of life, and of coming to terms with who you are. It’s a story that will be pertinent to many people- even if you aren’t gay, bisexual, or religious. I loved the message of the book and found the story to be important. It’s a heart-warming read and one I recommend!

Current is a second chance love story that has romance, steam, and even a good bit of mystery and suspense. I listened to the audio of this book and I found myself piddling around the house just to keep listening and find out what was going to happen next. A few of these twists were predictable, but there were a few that really shocked me! I enjoyed the element of surprise.
I always love a good second chance romance story. I especially love it when the two are childhood/high school sweethearts. Jake and June spent one summer together. They were blissfully in love, but Jake's family issues tore them apart. They spent a lot of time away from each other, but June never forgot about Jake and Jake never forgot about her.
Along with Jake and June, there were some great secondary characters that put a lot of fun and humor in the story. I enjoyed this couples romance, and I rooted for them to overcome all the obstacles that hindered them from being together. Current was an entertaining read I liked a lot!

I absolutely loved Drunk Dial! I listened to the audio version of this book and the narration was amazing. I didn’t want to stop listening once I started. Rana and Landon’s friends to lovers story really hit the spot for me. I loved the way they came together, and the little twists I didn’t see coming. Definitely my favorite Penelope Ward book to date!

Cut Wide Open is a gritty second chance biker romance. I really enjoyed how the story started out, with Charlie and Gunner as kids. I liked seeing them turn into teenagers and watching their romance blossom. Something big tore the two apart, and as adults, they found one another again. A beautiful second chance romance!
I really loved the heroine in this book. She went through so much, but she was resilient. A true survivor. Gunner was great, too. This story definitely had some grit. There were a few hard to read scenes. This book is not for the faint of heart. Side note- I listened to the audio book and I thought the narrator did a great job.
This is the second Abby McCarthy book I’ve read, and I’ve noticed a big change in her writing. I mean that in the best way possible. Her writing has grown and I’m excited to read more form her! Hopefully from this particular MC! Although Charlie and Gunner’s story was complete, there is a lot of ways the author could go with this series and I’m anxious to read more and see where it goes! ...more

The Soul Mate was a cute and quick read. I listened to the audio book, and I enjoyed the narration. I loved the premise of the story and I wanted to read it so bad when I saw the blurb and cover, but unfortunately it fell a little flat for me. I was sad because I wanted to love it, but honestly for me it was just okay. And don’t get me started on the medical stuff… LOL
(view spoiler)[ So, lets forget her husband is an OBGYN for a minute… I don’t know ANY doctor that would let a pregnant momma with twins go 10 days past their due date (It’s risky- and I would say MOST doctors want you to have those babies between 36-39 weeks, even if they have to induce) But I especially can't imagine an OBGYN being okay with this! Mason was so protective and this is risky! I know it’s a little thing to most people, but gosh it irks me so much when there is ‘wrong’ medical information. There are so many resources that make it easy to get that part of a story right. (hide spoiler)]
