The Christmas Angel Project was a heartwarming Christmas story. This story follows four women after they lose the fifth member of their friend group/book club. Abbey was the glue of the group and when they lost her, they all lost their way a bit. With the Christmas angel’s Abbey left behind, they got the idea to do The Christmas Angel Project and it changed them all. This was sweet and uplifting. One of the better Melody Carlson Christmas books.

I had a lot of fun reading Better Than Revenge. Kasie West always writes sweet YA rom-coms, and I’m always here for that.
Finley has one major goal she’s been working toward throughout her high school career: to be on her school’s podcast. She’s worked hard, and her boyfriend, Jensen, knows just how hard. He also decides to try out at the last second and uses one of her ideas. How rude…
Finely decides she needs some revenge. Who better to help her than Jensen’s rival, Theo. Theo and Finley were amazing, and I loved them together. I also really loved the side story with her grandma and learning her story through Finley’s personal podcast. This book made me smile throughout and I truly enjoyed reading it....more

I’ve seen some mixed reviews on this one, but it looked cute, so I thought I’d give it a try. I liked this one. I didn’t love it, but it was okay. It did give me those Gilmore Girls feels, just a bit, so that was nice. Nothing too memorable, but enjoyable nonetheless.

I love a good age gap romance. When I read 11:11 and saw the potential these two characters had together, I knew their book would be good. If you've read 11:11, you'll remember that Izzy is Via's younger sister, and Derrick is Reid's dad. If you haven't, that's okay. This is just set in the same world. I think Izzy and Derrick were amazing together. They balanced each other out perfectly and their romance was fun to read, sweet, and had just the right amount of emotion. ...more

I enjoyed this book initially, but the more it went on, the less I liked it. It wasn’t bad, but I didn’t love how the story of G-ma unfolded. I did like our main character, Scoob, and listening to him tell the story. As a whole, this one was okay for me.

After reading the first book in this series last year, I was unsure if I wanted to read the second, but I’m so glad I did! I enjoyed this one so much more. The hero was perfect, the heroine was quirky and fun, and I loved the ‘Runaway Bride’ aspect. I wish we got more time with the couple as an actual couple but aside from that, I loved it!

As much as I loved the first book in this series, I loved this one even more. Quiet Longing follows Charli, an American teenager spending the summer in Ireland with her family, and Rhys, Charli’s cousin’s best friend (as well as Shay from the first book’s cousin). Charli and Rhys spend an unforgettable summer together before she starts college, and that is the first half of the book (which was my favorite half). The second half takes place 16 years later after Charli’s divorce and move to Ireland.
Rhys works for Charli’s uncle, and Charli starts a new job at that hotel as well. They start off as friends, but Charli is skittish now. Her life has changed since she last saw Rhys, and she has changed. She’s not as lighthearted and confident as she used to be. But Rhys still sees that girl he loves underneath it all. I loved how much these two loved each other in such a sweet and quiet way. I’m looking forward to the next book in this series!

Do you ever start a book and feel like you are in the middle of someone's story? That’s how I felt with You Belong with Me. It took me a minute to get into the story, and though I enjoyed it, I never truly connected with Edie and Elliot as a couple. Not my favorite Mhairi McFarlane, but still mostly enjoyable.

I don’t know where I saw this book recommended, but when I saw it on sale on Audible, I picked it up. Color me surprised when I started it… I think this is one of those books you will love or hate. Honestly, it didn’t work for me. I probably should have dnf’d, but I liked the author’s writing, and I was intrigued to see if the author could justify why the hero did what he did. Drew… they could never make me like you. I would try this author again, but only if I read the blurb/some reviews first to ensure the book wasn’t like this one.

Love’s Cre•scen•do was one of those books that hooked me from the start. The writing was stunning, the characters engaging, and the story was breathtaking.
This story follows two characters who appear in similar places but couldn’t be more different in many ways. Jessa has had a difficult upbringing and a rough few years. Her challenges don’t harden her, though. Jessa is unusually optimistic and grateful in many ways, even though many would not be. She lives with her brother, Myles, and works as a barista.
Kian is a busker who lives in his van. He keeps to himself, and aside from working out and singing, he doesn’t do much else. Something traumatic happened to him, and it changed who he is and how he lives his life. Then he meets Jessa, and slowly but surely, everything changes for him.
Reading about broken characters who heal each other and fall in love is like catnip to me. I love books that make me feel, and this one gave me all the feels. I was obsessed with this book. I cried so much, but mainly because things in this story were personal to me. I felt like I knew these characters, and by the end, I was in love. I can’t recommend this book enough, I absolutely adored it.

Lips Like Sugar is the second book in Jess K. Hardy’s ‘Bluebird Basin’ series. I hope this author keeps writing in this world. I’m enjoying these characters so much. I love that the characters are more seasoned, and as frustrating as Mira was at times, I could understand her perspective based on her life responsibilities. I adored Cole so much and was happy with everything by the end of the book.
