I am not typically the love triangle type... because I don't necessary like getting my heart broken... but after reading book two it was honestly worth it.
I think in a lot of ways its clear who he's going to pick... the connection they share is pretty undeniable... It's sort of opposites attracts, yet characters who just get each other and bring out the best in one another.
Yes, the hero is extremely oblivious, and at points I wanted to shake him... but this type of angst and connection between the characters is the kind I constantly crave. I will honestly go as far as adding book 2 to my favorites shelf.... because I was completely captivated by these two.
There is no cheating in this book, the heroine does anything she can to not come between the OW. and for once the OW was actually someone nice and there was nothing wrong with her. She just wasn't "the one". This book also deals with mental health struggles, as well as emotional abuse from a family member... I found the mental health struggles extremely relatable... as well as some of the loss of past loved ones... This was such a well-rounded intense story that will have you in your feels. definitely recommend if you are open to giving a love triangle a try. because as stated I normally don't read them, but i was pleasantly surprised....more

This book consumed me Mind body and soul, these characters are everything I could have wanted. I found this story almost a love letter to the past, a full circle moment, where they are almost rewriting history... the dynamics that may not have worked in the past in the Rina verse do... which just makes someone like me, who has been along for the ride, so much more fulfilled.
I will say that this story has a more "Adult" tone then the other "LOG" books, because as Rina has said it is 2 years later from God of fury. It stands out on its own, and yes it has surpassed Bran and Nikolai for me (which was my number one favorite LOG book). Ava and Eli's love is next level type of love, the depth of it is never ending... When we first meet Eli, he's hard to read... but as the story progresses each character grows and changes from what you thought you knew. I do think this book is best to go into blindly and leave any thoughts of how you think this books going to go at the door.
Eli and ava are both very complex characters, Ava is feisty and the sunshine to Eli's grumpy. Ava definitely gives Eli a run for his money, the banter was everything. These two are opposites, but yet they are perfect for each other... There's no Eli without Ava and there's no Ava without Eli. The loving and moments have my heart in a vice, I definitely cried a couple of times... my heart belongs to Eli and Ava now... and I will not be the same after this. There is so much I want to say about these two, but I will not mention any spoilers... There's a huge mystery surrounding everything Just go into this with an open mind and know that this story is the perfect way to "end" the "Rinaverse ... for now. It started with a "King and a Queens" and it ends with one.
My Original Thoughts before reading: "This has been my most anticipated couple since before next Gen ever started. I fell in love with them from the moment Eli Kissed Ava at the hospital, and throughout every epilogue, and short story, they’ve been in since. The snippets we have gotten for them so far, have me even more excited for their story."...more

I'm Genuinely a sucker for rockstar second chance trope, so the minute I saw Ginger Scott was writing one, I knew it was going to be a must read. She has a way of taking what would seem like a straightforward trope and making it uniquely her own. This story is filled with so much raw emotion and angst, every character has layers to them, and depth. They are flawed and real. This is a story that's not only second chance when it comes to love but second chance when it comes to friendships as well.
I could say this is the story of Johnny and Brynn, but as I mentioned above it is more than that. Its ton in Brynn's POV and goes between the past and the present. As the present moments get shown, you start figuring out what got them to where they are. I really enjoyed these characters and even the side characters, like Teddy... he was the 3rd musketeer in their friendship dynamic. He also adds a little more angst to the story.
Johnny and Brynn's dynamic isn't an easy one... there's forgiveness and issues they have to work through. But in the end, it is definitely worth it. This story is full of heart, and you will feel it all....more

Eliah Knocked the rockstar and second chance trope out of the park with Hadley and Kane. No one writes Angst quite like Eliah does, and gosh did she deliver on all the angsty goodness.
Hadley and Kane, have practically known each other all their lives when we first meet them, their moms are best friends… after an unfortunate event, they find themselves growing closer… forming a connection that will withstand time and years of emotion, loss and anger. This story is seriously one of my favorites of the year… Eliah has her own unique way of writing and story telling that I always know I’m in for a crazy ride when I read her books. Her books make you feel everything so viscerally. Kane and Hadley are the type of love that was meant to be written about in books.
Although this is a rockstar romance, I wouldn’t say that’s the main focus of the book, so if you don’t tend to gravitate towards that trope, I think you will still enjoy this story. It’s a story of growth and love… it’s about finding yourself… or refunding yourself, and that those that truely matter will find a way back to you. This deals with friendships as well as romantic dynamics… the little bit of found family moments were so fun to see. I loved so many of the secondary characters as well as the mains… this story had my emotions all over the place, and at times my jaw on the floor… but Eliah like always made the journey worth it. I love this story so much, Kane is up there as one of my favorites next to Xavier, which I never thought would be possible....more

Just like all of Jennifer’s stories this story will have to an emotional mess. You will cry, you will laugh, you will be hopeful. She does heal you at the end, and it’s definitely quite the ride. I have anticipated Tabitha’s story since I first finished still beating, years ago. Getting to be inside her head and seeing the severity of what she’s been through, you will have a new fondness for her… and her strength. Gabe throughout the story is her rock and support and is mostly nothing short of perfect… he’s patient and kind through her trauma and working through the things that haunt her. There’s moments between Gabe and Tabitha that are so heart breaking… because you just want them to be happy. But all the heartache is worth it in the end with this one.
I will say, there was a sub plot that seemed a little distant from the rest of the story… it did make for an interested mystery, over all. But I wish we did get to see more of Gabe dealing with the trauma of his past vs… his past coming back. These characters have been through so much… and they continue to come out the other side in the end. They are each-others safety nets.
Over all this story felt like coming home, we get to see many familiar faces, especially if you are like me and have read pretty much everything Jennifer has written. My love for these characters kept growing whenever familiar faces were shown on the page. This is a heartbreaking story of love and loss, and learning to love again. It’s breathtakingly beautiful… extremely profound… showing that some loves are just worth it....more

Book two shines so much light on what these characters have to overcome, it shows more of Ollies struggles, since we do start getting his POV here. Book one was more of Mia's internal struggles and realizing she is capable of love, and worthy to be loved.

This is one of my top favorites in general, and some of Winter Renshaw's best work. Its emotional, angsty and has elements you may not see coming. I loved the slight mystery aspect to it. The secret behind what happened to his niece's mother, really kept me invested.
Seeing the characters grow overtime and open themselves up for not just romantic love. This is a truly beautiful story. ...more

I’m glad I went into this book with an open mind. No preconceived notions on how I wanted it to end, and how I expected this story to go. I was hooked by the first word, and until the very last. The writing is so captivating, and thought provoking. It deals with loss, heartbreak, but learning that who you once were isn’t who you are now, that you change and grow, and it’s okay to find happiness again. Nicola may be one of the most relatable heroines to me, I understand the feelings she felt of feeling guilty being happy, under certain circumstances. She was such a raw and real character, she wasn’t perfect she struggles, and learn. She’s one of the most beautifully selfless characters I’ve been able to read about, and she’s definitely becoming a top favorite.
I don’t necessarily want to go too in depth on the hero, because I do think it benefitted me going into this one blindly, so my review wont mention the hero by name. But the hero, was exactly what the heroine needed at the moment they needed them, they helped her grow, while she helped him grow in return. They each lifted the other up, they understood each other in ways they no one else ever could and ever had before. Their love was undeniable, it’s the type of love that you feel in your bones. This story is honestly able to achieve what few stories ever have (for me). It’s a story that takes you away to a new place, and makes you forget about life’s burdens for a while. My whole heart was in this story while reading, when the characters cried I cried, when they loved I loved. It’s Simply stunning.
The author does touch on subjects that you don’t see touched on often, if ever. It’s not only written extremely well, especially since it it’s pretty sensitive material for many. But the way it’s written with extreme care and as if every word was thought out. It’s definitely a unique story, that I honestly couldn’t compare to anything else.
Yes the story had me feeling everything, but the world the author has created added just as much yo the story, you can picture every scene so vividly. The story takes place in a town called Costa Del Ray, which is set in California. The vibe of the city just heightens the overall experience. This is a world that if you have read this author, you have visited before, and it was honestly like coming home to familiar friends. I really hope we get more from the love and chaos world.
Until August, is one of the most beautiful journeys I have ever gone on, it reminded me why I love romance so much, it’s the definition of what I look for anytime I start a book. It’s heartbreakingly beautiful with characters that you feel like you know on a personal level. I definitely recommend this story, because you are doing yourself a disservice by not reading it.
P.s Don’t worry the author will put your pieces back together, and you will feel whole again. You may just go through a few boxes of tissue in the process.

This story was more than I could have imagined! I am head over heels in love with these characters. They are in my top 2 favorite Rina Kent couples. I think I'm just as obsessed with them as they are with each other.
In many ways I feel like I loved this book even more then book one, if that's even possible. In Blood of my monster Rina left us on a crazy Cliff hanger, one I desperately needed answers to. Although we don't get all the answers we are looking for, we get more depth and insight into these characters, we get to see the lengths they will go to ensure the other is safe. their feelings become engrained on our bones, and you feel everything they feel so strongly. Their obsession for each other may be the deepest out of any of Rina's characters. Their undeniable loyalty for only each other. Even when many times I wanted to Shake Kirill, you knew that he would do anything for Sasha.
This story had me on the edge of my seat, it gave me such a roller coaster of emotions. I literally teared up and even cried at points, mostly tears of joy caused by moments that I felt to my core, that were so beautiful and heartfelt, and emotionally visceral... that I was so overwhelmed, that I couldn't help but cry. This is honestly some of Rina's best work to date, the way she connected all the other stories within this world. The moments from Thrones duet, that I was anxious to see play out, that had my stomach in knots. I am "In Aw" at this story, I have no words honestly, it's so captivating well done, it's a once in a lifetime type of love and story.... that my review is literally a rambling mess. You all need to start Sasha and Kirills story if you haven't already, I cannot and will not recommend it enough.
Yet again, the cliffhanger has me wanting to scream! because I need answers so badly, I have theories running through my brain... and questions I desperately need answers to. I know we will get all of those in book 3, and I'm ready to see these characters surrender even more to their feelings for each other, as well as overcome whatever tried to come between them again. I know Kirill has a plan, because seeing his POV the readers know what's true....more

It was just as good as book 1 was, but we finally get answers, and closure that we so desperately needed. The ending of book one put me through the wringer, and luckily book 2 just takes place right after the cliff hanger, so you don’t have to wait long to find out what happens.
This story, was more about growth and learning to let go, and move on. It’s also about forgiveness, forgiveness not only from the people around you, but forgiveness for yourself. Cal has a lot to work through in this story, and Jennifer shined a light on all of it. There were definitely times where I wanted to shake him… but he wouldn’t be Cal if those moments weren’t there. Book two shows even more how Lucy is the perfect partner for him, that her optimism and spirit was the only one who could break through those barriers and reach Cal.
There was a lot of growth and obstacles to overcome, but there was also so much love to be shown. This story put you back together, from all the angst and emotional heartbreak that book 1 had you feeling. There were some swoony moments, tender moments, and even magical moments… that will have your heart smiling. This story is very character driven, which I found really refreshing coming from Jennifer. It’s clear she can definitely write stories that make you feel everything to your core, and I felt like Lucy and Cal’s story was no different.
The tone of this story was melancholic and tension filled, almost like you are waiting for the other shoe to drop. There is a few secrets that we are waiting to be revealed, we get glimpses at the the last through one of my favorite forms of media, which helped heighten the tension, and mystery to every chapter. I found myself yearning for chapters told from this specific characters perspective, but was happy when I found answers.
Yes this story has secrets and twists, but it also has an element that Jennifer is a master at, it has hope and love and heartache. It has flawed characters that you can’t help but find beautiful at the same time. Relationship dynamics that only come around once in a lifetime, because it’s that type of love where you know these two are it for each other, that they were exactly what one another needs. She writes really unique stories that are a breath of fresh air. the depth that their love goes knows no bounds… even when she lost her memories Silas found her. The angst is great because she ends up with Silas brother, and wanting to get revenge. It’s steamy and angsty and all the things I want in a book, I even cried, which is hard for me to do.

A story where I can’t put it down, the kind you stay up late reading all through the night. The Bayou never tells is definitely one of those rare types of stories.
I was hooked from page one and couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next. Although this is Chelley St Claire’s debut, standalone (she has another book she cowrote) this doesn’t seem like a debut at all. It’s seamless and beautiful and will draw you in.
This is the story of Sila and Ivy. Two of my new favorite characters. Sila is a rough around the edges, sort of antihero, he works for “Bad People”. He is so loving and caring to the people who mean most to him and would do anything for the ones he loves. I loved being inside his head. He was funny and endearing, you couldn’t help but feel for him when we would see his internal struggles throughout this story.
Ivy, gosh I loved her so much. She is so relatable, even though your struggles may not necessarily be the exact same as hers, the way she feels you can’t help but understand, we’ve all felt alone at times, or that things are out of our control. She shows time and time again throughout this story, how fierce and strong she is. I loved seeing the growth she showed throughout the pages. Who she is by the end of the story isn’t who she started as. She’s been through the ringer and has come out stronger for it all.
This story was amazing! A-freaking-mazing I tell you. If you are going to read any story I recommend please make it this one! I cannot wait to return to this world because two of my favorite secondary characters are getting a book.

I’m a huge sucker for differently able characters, or characters who struggle with learning disabilities, as well as anything related to mental health. This story checks pretty much all those boxes.
The hero is mute by choice he suffers from a stutter, but that still doesn’t stop him from being the leader of the MC. He is the most feared and ruthless, and I loved him so much, with all his struggles. Him being self conscious about his speech added an extra layer to the character that made him that much more lovable.
This story definitely deals with a lot of topic that may be triggering for many readers, so proceed with caution! The heroine has been through some of the most heinous acts, and at such a young age, this story deals with cults, and the trauma that they brought her. The author has created a world based on her own research, and interviews with people who have been in similar situations.
The way the hero helps the heroine throughout the story, they save each other. They are it for each other. They have the type of romance… that transcends time. The hero would do anything to protect her. He’s possessive and ruthless, but he is a big softy for only her. This is the type of love story I love reading about, and I cannot wait to read the other characters stories in this series. ...more

Coda to me is like a totally different book in ways. The characters are more mature, especially Chelsie who has over come so much from the past book. She’s more confident, she’s open to dating again, she’s successful in what she is passionate about. Even though she has come along way, there are still some internal demons she lives with everyday. The struggle to love again is one of those, feeling like she gave up on her one true love she isn’t deserving of it. I loved seeing the new Chelsie navigate her internal struggles, she’s definitely more open of a character.
Okay, now Noah, sweet Noah…. I loved him in book 1 and I loved him in book 2. Oh how I just wanted to squeeze him and tell him everything would be okay. Noah is dealing with a huge trauma at the beginning of this book, he is suffering and there’s only one way to get him out of it. Seeing this story develop and feelings it created within me, was so extraordinary and left me an emotional mess in the best ways possible.
This duet is one of heartbreak and love. Coda is putting the pieces back together, and showing the love more vividly. Coda also had a fun mystery element that kept me guessing, I love when stories have this, it adds an extra layer to the story, which I really loved, because I enjoy a good mystery in real life.
Also don’t want to forget one of my favorite characters in this book Sam! Ahh we had some amazing Sam moments that had me smiling and feeling full of hope and happiness. His and Chelsies bond is still as special as ever. Some of his feelings, will tug at your heartstrings, I’m so happy he has become one of my favorite characters.
Overall this was such an amazing ending, Coda alone is one of my new favorites of Jennifer’s. The fact that she wrote something as good as this early on in her career makes it that much better. I definitely recommend, and now I can’t wait to see what’s to come from this author.
Ps. She also ends it with a glimpse at a story to come and I’m so ready for it! ...more
