Emma and Jackson's family has been rivals since the minute Jackson's family came to town. Each one trying to outdo the other when it comes to their yearly Christmas party. now that Emma and Jackson have taken on as hosts of their family's Christmas party... the rivalry continues between the two of them. Causing a ruckus over a nutcracker, they find themselves in jail for the night, and as punishment they must host their parties together.
Maren really knows how to write a story that will put a smile on your face. This story is jam packed full of "The Feels" as well as some top-notch steam throughout. The enemy to lovers' tension with the small-town hijinks is definitely a favorite of mine, and so is this holiday novella!...more

I loved that it essentially took place over Valentine’s Day, giving it a cute holiday feel. This is an Enemies to lover's, workplace romance, filled with pranks and banter. Owen and Mackenzie have known each other for years, they have a rocky relationship to put it mildly. Throughout high school they would pull pranks on one another, but underneath it all there was always so much more.
I love the way Jaclyn Combes, takes a trope and makes it uniquely her own. She writes plots that I rarely see done, which keeps me coming back for more. I find her writing extremely refreshing as well, this one being more on the lighter side of things. After finishing it, I honestly would love to see this turned into a full length, just because I would love more of these two.

I loved the second chance aspect as well, and learning what got them to where they are today. There was some good depth that a lot of novellas can sometimes lack.

This is the story of Quinn and Parker. It’s a reverse grumpy sunshine dynamic. The heroine being the Grump. I loved this twist on this beloved holiday trope. Parker being the swoony doctor that he is, wanting to bring the holiday cheer back into Quinn’s life. This is also brothers best friend, and I couldn’t get enough of these two together.

It’s a brothers friend, friends to lovers type romance. The hero is a football player, the heroine in a twin who is used to getting over looked. The moments between Holly and Theo were so sweet, this will seriously give you those warm and fuzzies.
This is the story of what happens if you get snowed in with your long time crush, and I definitely recommend. Rebecca is definitely one of my favorite swoony romance writers.

This story was told in multiple POV’s, which was an amazing narrative decision. We got to see where other characters throughout the whole Callahan and College years series are today.

Okay so I really loved the story line, and the dynamic. The push and pull and the way they met had me hooked! My only issue is I wished it wasn’t a novella. I felt like there was a moment where it went from zero to 60 in no time. The characters were great, I just wished she added more chapter in when she add the extended epilogue.

I hate Paxton… but I’m happy for Elle and nick.
I wish the story was a little longer, and Paxton was more jealous with what he did. In my opinion he really betrayed Elle. Obviously Elle is with the better brother and in the end I’m happy.

This is my first book by Daphne Elliot and it won’t be my last! She’s very descriptive with her writing and it helps visualize and see the bigger picture of what’s happening.
So this is my first Daphne book, but it’s also my first time reading this trope, and I’ve always wanted to. The authors who wrote this book, I personally think did a fantastic job at it. She portrayed it in a realistic light! She showed the struggles and the process to get back to where they used to be.
This is the story of Maggie and Josh. Overtime they have drifted apart. There is a little resentment but Josh is insistent on fixing the mistakes he’s made.
"But this is you and me, Maggie - we are epic. Always have been. And I will never stop fighting for us."
I liked that the author showed the couple for to therapy, as I’ve said it made the process of them getting back together more authentic. You find out things from their past along the way of the story, and by hearing those things you see what made them fall in love in the first place.
Josh is totally swoony, he’s taken ownership of his mistakes, he’s a sweet man who will do anything for his family. Maggie I loved but in the beginning I did struggle with her a bit because I felt like she didn’t take some of the ownership for the failing relationship. I felt like as time went on I understood her more and I ended up loving her. She really sacrificed a lot for her family.
I loved seeing these two come together, and how perfect they were for eachother. This was a sweet Christmas novella, with some steamy moments! It was a great change of pace from my typical reads. I even found myself falling in love with some side characters… *cough* Nora and Lucas *cough*. I loved the world this author created and I will have to go back and meet some of the other characters within it. I defiantly recommend this story. ...more

If you want the best experience with this book, reading medicine man first will give you a bit more of an understanding of Fallon Blackwells background and family life. Buy it’s not necessary if you just want to dive right in!
This is the story of Fallon and Dean. Fallon has always been in love with Dean, since she asked him to marry her many years ago. She was a child then but never gave up hope that one day it would be. Dean is Fallons best friend, he’s her protector and her teacher in ways. He was there for her throughout her life, such as teaching her to ride a bike, and rooting for her every step of the way. Due to the nature of their relationship, this story may not be for everyone. Nothing happens until the heroine is of Age.
To be honest this is one of my favorite trope because the taboo/ forbidden aspect makes for some amazing chemistry and angst.Dean accompanies Fallon on a road trip back hole to New York. The push and pull throughout the trip, made for off the charts chemistry and moments. Seeing Dean fighting the feelings he’s felt, and Fallon feeling less alone in what she’s known for so long… was beautiful to see. Dean is totally Swoony and a bit broody, and I loved all aspect of who he was and is for Fallon. Fallon had so Much light in her, even though she was struggling with some mental battles within herself. Over all this was a fun and beautiful read, defiantly what I look for in this trope....more

I wanted more background on why Manson was the way he was. When he had her hook up with other people in front of him... I wish there was a comments after the fact about why he was okay with it. Or how it made him feel. I think I wish there was Manson’s POV so I could understand his thoughts in the situation...
In the end I wanted more. To see how their Relationship in submission and dominance would go!
Overall it was a well written steamy read! If you aren’t okay with seeing a main character hook up with other people then maybe skip this one.”...more
