I made the mistake starting this book right before bed. Talk about a book hangover and it was just the First. Two. Chapters. The absolute devastation that did to my heart. I kinda knew what I was walking into with Arrow because Lor hinted about it in other books. But Hopper, oh poor Hopper. Both of these characters basically died in those chapters, shattered into so may piece there was no fixing them and yet still some how they both continued to live and breath.
My favorite quote from the book basically sums all the feels up....
What were the odds? The odds that two men so shattered would meet? The odds that all our broken pieces would somehow fit together to create something whole?...more

Let me start by saying I love the little text convos. They remind me so much of my husband and I. Even the ones that happen when we are sitting right next to each other. And speaking of my husband, he too is proof that assholes make the best “my person.” They have a hard shell to shield you from the world but a soft center they only share with you. Lorhaven hinted to being that kind of asshole in #Junkie and #Rev every time his brother was involved. He was an ass when it came to Arrow because he loves deeply. He’s loyal and protective. But asshole men need strong women who can stand up to them but who can also accept them for who they are. Joey is strong even when she thinks she is weak and I love her for that. She is me. Tomboy. Speed Junkie. Feminine but not “girlie.” Forced to be an outsider because she’s “weird.” Embrace the weird. It’s better to be you then to be normal. And Jace will love you anyways....more
