Arne Miller's security company was his pride and joy. He treated his employees like a family, did his job with dedication, and found the time to have fun while performing the most dangerous of tasks.

Levi Parker was a prominent member of the Kriila society until one day he mysteriously vanished. Years later he was thrust back into the cruel world he had tried so hard to escape.
He didn't expect to be met with a media frenzy, prying eyes, and questions that threatened to uncover more than he was willing to reveal. And he least expected to find his mate in Arne.

Oh, I am so happy! This was really great and even better than I expected!

This had exactly the type of relationship dynamic that makes me turn into a giant puddle of goo.
I also genuinely liked Levi and Arne, so I was plenty invested in their story.

Levi was so delicate and broken, I felt for him a lot: his history was truly devastating. That’s why I was just so happy that he at least had Arne there for him; always patient, always nurturing, and always protective in every way. Arne was absolutely perfect for him, and I simply adored the way he treated Levi.
Their relationship was gentle, tentative, healing, sweet, adorable, strong and all-consuming.

The desperation from Arne to be with Levi was intense. Arne would have literally done anything to make him happy or to be close to him.
He got hurt so much by Levi’s constant rejection, but he never stopped caring or trying. His single minded focus was always on Levi, and only him.
And luckily it was understandable why Levi kept rejecting him, so it was never annoying. It only made my insides melt more to see Arne continue to try so hard to make Levi comfortable despite the obstacles. Arne was completely whipped in the best way possible, and I loved it so much.

“You only need to ask him, you know? He’d move the universe for you. All you have to do is ask.”

These two were honestly awesome together, and although they had an instant connection due to being mates, I really appreciated that them actually getting together was a true slow-burn due to all of Levi’s unresolved issues and insecurities.

Honestly, I truly loved reading this story and I was pretty much completely enamoured by this sweet and angsty romance.

Incredibly beautiful. Probably the best hurt comfort healing book I've ever read. Of course I cried like a baby most of the time. No idea how you can even read with eyes that wet, but somehow it always works out in the end.
Perfect mates, even though the road was so very difficult and painful, I think the book has the perfect balance. Every scene made perfect sense, even though there really isn't much plot, but the story and Levi's process to healing and Arne's constant support even when it was tearing him apart inside was just so well written.

Emboldened, he unwrapped his legs from around Arne’s waist and stretched them behind. He unwound his arms from around Arne’s neck and spread them to the sides. With his chest leaning against Arne’s powerful back, he threw his head back and closed his eyes.
He allowed himself to daydream just a little bit, and it felt like he was flying alone again. An excited scream left his mouth as Arne realized what he was doing and sped up. The wind caught beneath Levi’s wings, lifted him slightly off Arne’s back and let him hover just for a few seconds before Arne closed the distance between them again and caught him with his body.
Levi was flying. He was flying again. He was whole again. And it was all thanks to the magnificent man who’d claimed him as his own and found a way around the walls Levi had built around himself.
🫠🥺🥰🥺🫠🥺🥰

So, now I've run out of tissues ...

The hurt/comfort - part was beautiful and impressive, but I wasn't a fan of other plot - parts and the writing style.

I loved the first part of the book, everthing concerning the mates Arne and Levi, their struggles and the hurt Arne felt because of mate-rejection. Arne's and Levi's connection felt believable to me.

I hadn't been impressed by the author's "Daydream" and I'm disappointed that this book was a bit similar. The writing often felt bland and unimaginative.
The last 15% of the book were the weakest. Arne's actions, everything concerning Levi's former tormentor, the ensuing drama felt meh to me.
I even just skipped after 95% I didn't feel connected to the story anymore.

@Drusilla thanks for the rec, the hurt/comfort aspect really was beautiful!

The good
+ Arne protecting Levi no matter the circumstances
+ Arne's employees. They're a real team
+ Levi learning to trust Arne
+ Levi's wings. They look gorgeous on the cover
+ Wing grooming!
+ Nesting!
+ Levi sneaking Arne's hoodie into his nest
+ Levi's collection of random things. I love how he's instantly possessive of the little items
+ Bailey. His way of wooing the doctor is priceless
+ Arne being such a fucking sap
+ The epilogue! Most romantic date in the history of ever

The neutral
o I forgot the names of the side characters (like Camilla or something) from the previous book and I still don't know who they were

The bad
- Levi said . Why didn't he make the connection himself?
- I understand Levi rejecting Arne to some degree, but in the end all the focus was on Levi's hurt. But Arne was also hurt very deeply, and he also deserved comfort and compassion

Quotes
x "Pineapple has been banned."
x "Are you scared of chamomile tea?" "Do you want the super-manly lie or the honest answer?"

This book was absolutely adorable, even with the incredibly hard themes. It took a little while for me to really get into it, because I felt so bad for Arne. He's such a teddy bear, and that epilogue was the most romantic date idea ever. Seeing Levi come out of his shell was a real treat. I'm definitely going to read the short about Bailey and the doctor, can't wait for that chaos! I love all the wing grooming and the nesting in this series. Would definitely recommend.

It’s no surprise I liked this more than the first one considering all the hurt/comfort.

Arne was perfect, I felt so bad he was in pain from Levi’s rejection 😭

Levi went through a lot of trauma so it was easy to understand his mindset and how he felt he wasn’t a good mate for Arne but I couldn’t help but find it a little selfish when he asked for help with his wings, I wish that at that point he would’ve told Arne he wanted to give them a try but for him to be patient and maybe apologize for rejecting him and causing his pain. 😭

I also didn’t really like how it followed the same path as the first where one MC was kidnapped/in danger while the other had to plan their rescue but I am satisfied with what ended up happening with Kevin.

Usually when I read stories with non-humans when it comes to condoms they’re always “ I can’t transmit or catch diseases “ but in this case they don’t even talk about it, they just use a condom - which I’d generally be all for but it felt so out of place with the fated mates and ILYs and promises of forever ? I also wish there was a type of ritual to solidify the mating, I liked the idea of physical pain from a verbal rejection but it would’ve been nice to see a physical bond as well.

Overall it was still very enjoyable and I’ll probably continue the series cos I’m a sucker for fated mates. 🥰

Heartbreakingly tender

I have to say I think I preferred this to the first one. Just something about someone healing from their trauma and learning to love not only someone else but themself really resonates with me.

I liked how it wasn’t a insta love mating like our boys really had to work for it so it might not be for you if you aren’t into a bit of hurt/comfort. I loved how we saw more characters who just made me smile (Bailey and Doc book next?)

I will say the big bad was predictable so I was a little frustrated at how long the characters took to recognise who it was as I like being surprised along with our heroes but saying this it was so satisfying to see commupance and how Levi and Arnes journey is just beginning.

I cannot finish a review about Dream without mentioning that epilogue!!! So cute and just beautiful and it just made me love our main couple even more.

I wholeheartedly recommend Dream but would suggest reading the first book beforehand to get an idea of the society and some of the characters.

Omg I LOVE LEVI AND ARNE. They were so beautiful 😭 so supportive of eachother. I’m so I love. Kiran and Jude were still just as amazing as before, they’re little friend group was clutch. Bailey and his golden retriever persona / eagerly following Nelson was amazing and I’m jumping right into their book Still for more of that.

Oh, and Kevin Landon still sucks.

The second book in AM Rose’s new series, *Dream* was just such a sweet, loving and tender book to read. This time our protagonists are the two Kriila (winged species) best friends of the characters from the first book, Arne and Levi, and their story was such a beautiful and hard-won HEA.

Fundamentally, this book focused on healing. Though Arne and Levi run into each other during the events of the first book, there are significant challenges as Levi’s painful history makes him extremely reluctant to pursue anything romantic. I loved how much these types of obstacles present themselves even though this series is inherently a fated-mates trope. Arne responds with such respect, giving Levi time and space to work through his pain and trauma but is nevertheless determined to make sure he is safe and cared for. The Kriila instincts that I so loved in the first book were front and centre in this novel as well, and made especially softer by Levi’s nesting urges and Arne’s tender protectiveness.

I really enjoyed this love story. It was so cautious and so slow, and so sweetly and gently nurtured by our characters. It was really beautiful to see how Levi gradually learns to trust Arne’s intentions and that he will respect all of his boundaries. In the same way, I also loved how vulnerable Arne allows himself to be since underneath his big and burly persona is an absolute teddy bear who wants nothing more than to openly love everyone he cares about. These two characters are so well matched and I absolutely loved the pace and evolution of their romance. Though it's a slow burn and relatively low heat there is so much love and intimacy every step of the way.

Highly recommend this book and this series for fans of soft, fluffy fantasy romances, with loads of tenderness, hurt/comfort vibes and the cuddliest of MC’s who must be protected forever.

CW’s: flashback scenes and discussions of domestic violence and abuse at the hands of an ex; stalking; short-lived moments of captivity; brief moments of non-graphic violence.

Warning: If you are triggered by abuse, you may want to skip this book. If not, I highly recommend this series.

Dream is the second book in the Inescapable series, and while it can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading Storm first, as a lot of the world building happens in the first book. Since the world is fantastical, it will make so much more sense than if you start on the second book.

With that said, and having read Storm, which I absolutely loved, this story Dream, takes place in the same fantastical world of the human-like creatures called Kriila, who live apart from humans. We had met the two MC's in Storm, and we can see the instant attraction when they first met and can see now as Arne seeks to protect Levi in Dream. They both feel the draw to each other and while Levi denies the connection and denies Arne himself, we can see that they were meant to be together. In Storm, we learn that something really bad happened to Levi to cause him to hide away from all things Kriila. In Dream, we learn about the details of the cruelty and physical and mental abuse he suffered at that hands of a man that claimed to love and care for him. Arne learns about the past abuse and does not see Levi as broken or unworthy. All he wants to do is love Levi.

This book was very interesting to read. I loved learning about the Kriila and to experience the love and devotion between these two soul mates. Hopefully, we get to read about Doc and Bailey next. Hint, hint.

Few authors can write hurt/comfort like A.M. Rose and Dream only confirms that. It's definitely a sweet, heart-warming love story with lots of cuddly moments and a well-deserved HEA. But first and foremost, it's a beautifully written story of healing, a heart-wrenching, time-consuming, painful journey, full of small victories mixed with unavoidable setbacks which Levi must go through before he's ready to even consider any kind of relationship.

What I love about this book is the fact that there are no easy solutions, no shortcuts, no 'love is a magic fix for everything' nonsense. While Arne would love nothing more than to ride to the rescue and fix all of Levi's problems, he does understand that what Levi actually needs is time and space to work through his pain and trauma. He doesn't want to fix Levi because he doesn't consider him broken, he just wants to support him while Levi slowly and painfully deals with his trauma, gets more confident, builds back his self worth. As a result, their relationship moves very slowly, with little to no heat, but there's a lot of love and affection in small, intimate gestures which clearly show how much they care for each other, and their HEA, though hard-won, feels natural and very satisfying.

As much as I tend to drift toward plot-driven books, I do enjoy stories like Dream, with interesting characters built strongly enough to make me want to stick around and watch them grow. Here it's true for the protagonists, but the same goes for the side characters: quirky, loveable, and well-developed, each with their own story too, which is why I have very high hopes for the sequel yet again. It'll be fun to see the super serious and competent but a bit absent-minded Doc get blown away by Hurricane Bailey.

Personally, I still would have liked to see this world explored further, to know more about Kriila society as a whole, but I enjoyed finding lots of small, new details scattered throughout the book, which add depth and context to personal worlds and lives of Kriila characters. All in all, it’s a great read for fans of slow burn fantasy romance.

Arne and Levi stole my heart.

At first I was confused with Levi, why he was so very against being mated to Arne. I felt as if the authors weren't sure if they wanted Levi to be afraid in general, as in afraid of his fellow Kriila, or just about the one person who hurt him. And then there was the angle about why he would be afraid of mating with Arne. Sometimes I got the feeling that he was thinking of himself as unworthy, then as not being Krilla enough (which was just confusing as his actual best friend-a human-was mated to another Krilla), then again feeling like a martyr (oh, how I dislike people thinking they know what is best for someone else and by doing so just keep on hurting the person and themselves in the process).

But otherwise I quite enjoyed their romance. It was very sweet and Arne was a very considerate partner, even from the sidelines. And when we finally knew what happened to Levi, oh poor poor Levi. What I didn't understand was what the incentive was to stay in the relationship with that person, what hold did he have on him? I am too unfamiliar with the battered wife syndrome to be able to speak about what is too soon to not be able to turn your back on your abuser. I can only say that it felt strange to me, like they met and he only waited for the first opportunity to arise. And also, nobody noticed, not family, not friends, not even classmates? Injuries have to be treated somehow and often cannot be hidden so easily away...

What I really liked were those tender moments between Levi and Arne, the grooming, the flying, the sweet gestures. It was beautiful to read how Levi grew more and more in confidence over the course of the story.

So all in all a nice read and I am looking forward to the next in the series.

The story of Arne and Levi was heartbreakingly sweet and just such a tender, loving romance. Arne is over the moon when his fated literally winds up in his arms, but unfortunately Levi isn't. Levi has spent the last years of his life in hiding after being brutally abused by one of his own kind. He has nothing to offer a mate of Arne's caliber and spends much of the book believing this lie. Arne, kind and oh so sweet Arne, is just so patient with Levi. Even when Levi hurts Arne, he's still determined to take care of him any way he can. I don't think fate could have picked a better partner for our scared, sweet Levi.

I liked how as the book went on Levi started to gain confidence in himself bit by bit. When it started his confidence was basically at rock bottom, but being around Arne and other people who cared about Levi started to build him up. It was beautiful. He was so brave and strong, he just didn't realize it. I was so proud of him by the end of the book, just like Arne was.

I can't end this review without mentioning a certain side character. Bailey, one of the security specialists who works for Arne, was just absolutely adorable and I couldn't get enough of his scenes. I cannot wait for his book because damn his mate is certainly going to have his hands full. That is, when he finally pulls his head out of his work and realizes who Bailey is to him. Hopefully I won't have to wait too long!

This is the second book from the Inescapable series. It could be read as a stand alone since the authors do a great job of explaining the story. However, as always it would be better enjoyed if you read the first book (Storm) since all the characters are first introduced in that book and you get a little more background. And bonus, you'll get to enjoy another great book 😁
Levi..sigh...he just broke my heart. He was carrying so much pain in his soul. His life has not been easy, all for trusting the wrong guy to love. But Arne is so patient, understanding, supportive, and loveable with Levi. Little by little he is able to crumble that wall Levi had built around his heart for protection. And Levi's journey to healing is done beautifully, no easy solution but one step at a time. Arne was simply just perfect for him, helping Levi realize how strong and beautiful he really is. Love that the authors did not make Arne the solution to Levi's problems, he was only the support and love Levi needed to heal his soul. So when Levi's past comes back to haunt him, he is able to face his internal and external demons.
The world building continues to be intriguing and well developed. There's action and suspense that fits perfectly in the story, not just to add drama. The secondary characters introduced in this story are loveable, funny, and fully developed, adding to story - not just fillers. I can't wait to get their stories, especially the Doc's 🤣

I'm hooked on the books of this author team since I've accidentally "stumbled" on their Daydream Colorado series. The trope wasn't exactly "my usual cup of tea" so to speak, it was the cover art done by amazing Martina Zrnič that drew me in. Because I was thinking - if someone can think so out of the box to take a risk on really unconventional cover the writing must match it. I was right and since then I've read every single title they've published and I'm looking forward for more.
This is a second book in a new series and in theory can be read as a standalone but I recommend the books to be read in order for better enjoyment and understanding of the very complex and unique world the authors created. I was really looking forward to Levi's and Arne's story and I wasn't disappointed. It's sweet, angsty, fated lovers story. Levi suffers from a severe PTSD and anxiety issues during his horrible past experiences, of which he never talked about to no-one. Arne's love and patience finally allows him to open up, trust again and most of all, understand that he's worthy of love and to live again, that he's allowed to be himself again, despite his physical or psychological obstacles. It's a fated mates story, slow burn with a lot of emotional and psychological development, although it involves some violence (not between MC's) - just a warning to more sensitive readers.
I can't wait to read Doc's story because I'm sure it's somewhere in the future.

Dream is a beautifully touching yet painful continuance of the Inescapable series. I reread the first book in the series since there are a lot of characters to remember. It was no hardship, and reacquainting myself with Kiran and Jude was a pleasure.
Arne is a good, strong character who inspires confidence in the first book. The circumstances of the second book do affect him and show him in a gentler and more emotional light. I like it. It rounds out his personality and makes him even more likable.
Levi, oh, sweet Levi, broke my heart. The trauma he suffered and the mental and physical ramifications from it just about brought me to my knees. I know he is a character in a book, but he is also very real to me. These authors made him tangible, visible, and touchable and embedded him in my heart. I was right there with him through all the memories, fears, and physical pain and cheered for him at every step he took toward reclaiming his life. It is all so well written that I felt like a part of their lives, the good and the bad. If I could have reached in and taken away all of the trauma, I would. I cried and cried and cried. So good.
The romance and fated mate storyline are lovely, sweet, passionate, and very satisfying once they get past the pain.
The underlying story kept my attention, and the conclusion at the end was gratifying and believable.
I look forward to more from these authors and only hope that my heart can take it.

Healing hearts

This is a truly beautiful story built around two men who desperately both need and deserve each other but have to struggle amazingly hard to make it happen. Despite being fated mates, Arne and Levi have no simple path towards being together and have to endure so much pain, heartache, and growth to make it happen. Levi feels himself “broken” physically and emotionally, so he pushes Arne away and denies their connection. Despite the rejection, Arne is determined to be there for Levi however he can. What follows is an incredibly slow burn as Arne makes Levi believe he’s fine just as he is until Levi opens himself to trust In Arne and the dream that can be mates.

There’s immense trauma in Levi’s past and (despite the angst and tears involved at 2 in the morning) I like that there’s no easy fix for healing. Every small gain forward takes a lot of work and building trust as well as determination on Arne’s part not to take the shortcut that appears as he knows that would only lead to further damaging what lays between them. If I have one minor criticism, it’s that the plot doesn’t include more about the Kriila society. As much as the first book looked at their world as a whole and the divide between Kriila and human, this one shrinks down to look at these two and what’s immediately around them. I have high hopes for Doc and Bailey’s short and expect that one will be lighter emotional fare.

Arne and Levi's love tale was tragically lovely and full of tenderness and love. When Arne finally meets his soul mate, fate places him in his arms. After suffering years of abuse at the hands of a fellow creature, Levi has spent his final years in hiding. He spends a good portion of the novel convinced that he has nothing to offer a partner of Arne's caliber. Arne, the ever-patient Arne, is incredibly nice and loving to Levi. Levi is so dedicated to Arne's well-being that he will injure Arne if he has to. You know, I don't think fate could have found a finer companion for our timid, lovely Levi.
As the story progressed, one of my favorite parts was seeing Levi gradually develop self-assurance. At the outset, Levi's self-assurance was low, but being in Arne's and other caring people's presence helped him begin to recover. It was very pretty. He was incredibly brave and strong, but he didn't know it. Like Arne, I was filled with pride for him by the book's finale.
Arne's security specialist Bailey was so adorably cute that I couldn't get enough of his moments. I'm dying to read his book.

I really loved the first book. Unfortunately this one is a total let-down. I never DNF a book, and I really struggled here.

Nothing happens until 65%. Levi just whines and Arne tries to soothe him. That's all. Nothing else.

Action starts at 85 %.

Levi is in such a mental state that he needs care from a psychiatric hospital, so this story is a bit morally difficult to accept. The trauma was so extensive it gave me nightmares and needless to say that's not what I'm looking for in a romance.

Levi is also presented as strong by the doctor and Arne. I wish I could have seen it. I didn't. At all.

Most of the book relies on the trope of impossible lovers. It's a very difficult trope, often mishandled with people suffering from a recent break up or the death of the partner, but with that level of mental damage? A long therapy, missing here, is necessary beforehand.

A fluffy nest is far from enough to make a book. Arne deserved a better story.
I think I'll stop here with this series.

You probably shouldn't read that if you have issues with torture of course, but also with claustrophobia.

Didn't love this as the first one. Simply because the angst was a bit draggy and seemed unnecessary at times. The rejection was a bit weird, though I understood the reasons... I still felt it didn't make much sense given how it turned out. I think the characters could've made different decisions. But it's not the thing that bothered me the most.
The investigation into the mole and villain was a lackluster to say the least, plus the fact that we don't really get the reason for why the mole behaved the way they did. I mean, it was probably jealousy but also maybe not? We don't know
Also the identity of the villain was so obvious but the characters are just stupid, they have to be told almost explicitly who it is. There were even clues in the first book like... Come on.
The epilogue was so ridiculous. I wanted them to have a cook off or just bonding while cooking or something similar. This was so juvenile and OTT...

What I loved: the hurt/comfort trope. Amazing. Loved it to bits. And the characters were really made for each other.

(Note: Very little spice)

I highly recommend reading this series in order as they do build on each other even though they focus on different couples. This series is amazing and the world building is truly top notch. There's lots of small details without it feeling like we're getting info dumped on. Levi has truly been through some horrendous events and is still very much recovering/healing during this story. Arne is amazingly supportive and the right amount of protective. Levi doesn't need an overly possessive partner and Arne walks a thin line of taking care of his mate but also giving him space. We get to meet more of Arne's team and the side characters each have their own personalities. I really loved Bailey and his attempts at romancing Doc.

The pacing is great and there's a decent amount of action. I'm not sure exactly what'll happen next but I'm truly eager to find out. I'm not ready to leave these characters!

Arne and Levi’s story is one of strong emotions and great tenderness— Levi’s past traumas are hugely influential in shaping his current circumstances, and emotional state, so nothing is going to be easy about the relationship these two must work to build, fated or not. I loved Arne’s patience and Levi’s resilience. It was beautiful to watch Levi come into his own as part of the healing process, and I appreciated that Arne wasn’t set forth as the solution to all of his traumas and experiences but instead someone to love and support him along the way. Finally, it’s worth pointing out that this is part of a series, and while the romance can stand alone here, I think it’s helpful, and enjoyable, to read the first book in the series, for context and world building and also just another powerful and interesting story. 4.5 stars.

I've been anxiously awaiting Arne and Levi's story since finishing book 1 of this series, and I was not disappointed in the slightest. I was expecting this one to have me all up in my feels and to likely be more angst-y due to the bits and pieces about Levi's backstory that were dropped in the last book, but I was not prepared for how utterly heartbreaking the fullness of it would be. I don't often want to give functional characters hugs and buy them tea and cookies, but Levi definitely was on that list at points during this story. Arne, meanwhile, is the perfect steadfast pillar Levi needs, while still being human. We see his fears and his doubts that he isn't doing the right things or maybe is even making things worse. The way the two of them grow together is absolutely beautiful and the way this story is written sucked me in such that I was struggling to put my kindle down when I knew I needed to do so! Highly recommended!

Oh Levi, he breaks my heart. So much emotion from this book, admittedly, not a lot of it great but reading Levi get on the road to recovery/moving forward with Arne's help is so fulfilling. Of course there are stumbling blocks, most out there by Levi himself but it doesn't stop Arne from being determined to be there for anything and everything.
This story on me up from the end of book one but can be read as a standalone, though it may help understand certain parts and character information and relationships if you read book one as well. The revelation that the MC's are mates doesn't come as a surprise but the pain inherent with this for Levi then hurts Arne as they dance around what they are to each other. Levi's journey is a hard battle filled with bouts of panic, anxiety and a total lack of self worth. It's through Arne's gentle encouragement and friendship from Jude, Kiran and a couple of those in Arne's company that he ever so slowly rebuild himself, both inside and out.
It's a real rollercoaster ride of emotions from start to finish and it's on so worth it to read these two get their HEA and for Levi to come so far over the course of the story. A highly recommended fantasy romance.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

Dream is a simply beautiful and tender romance between the two most gorgeously sweet MCs. Arne is the definition of the perfect book boyfriend. He’s respectful and genuinely understanding towards Levi, never once pushing for anything more, and yet, still managing to offer care and safety for Levi. Because of Levi’s past trauma, he isn’t ready for anything romantic, and as such, their romance is slow and careful. It builds organically as the trust between the two solidifies, and although remains fairly low heat throughout the book, reaches a level of unparalleled intimacy. I find this kind of deep connection rare in a fated mates book, and so yes, I salivated over this one! The healing and love that Levi is able to find with Arne is heartachingly perfect. I cannot this beautiful world highly enough!

I really enjoyed this book. Both Arne and Levi are very likable. Levi and his family have been hiding since he was involved in an abusive relationship, but now the media has found him and won't leave him alone. Arne knew that Levi was his mate when he met him in the previous book. He offers to hide Levi away at his business. He slowly chips away at Levi's fears of being broken and not worthy of love. However, it turns out that his business is not as safe as they thought. There seems to be a mole in Arne's business. It becomes a race against time to keep Levi safe so they can have a normal relationship. I really loved some of the secondary characters in this book such as Nelson and Bailey and hope that their book is coming soon.

Dream by A.M.Rose is the second in their new series, Inescapable. The authors have an ability to write characters that I like despite myself. I don’t usually care for big alphas, but Arne is an exception. He has a silly side that he rarely lets out, but it makes him endearing. I also don’t usually like damaged characters, but Levi too is an exception. Without giving away any spoilers, Levi more than proves himself in the story. I do like artists and Levi was an art major in college. The Kriila is an interesting society with the ability to fly, which many of us have always wanted to do. It is probably safe to say I will read whatever the authors decide to write, as long as it has a fantasy element.

Hurt/comfort, fated mates. Such and beautiful and heartbreaking story.
I loved this story so much. Arne is a born protector and Levi needs his protection so much. Arne knows Levi is his fated mate and he embraces the idea right from the start. Levi’s past trauma won’t let him accept Arne as his mate because he feels unworthy.
For me, the best part of this story was how Arne helped Levi work through his trauma at his own pace. He never pushed and even backed away completely, to his own detriment. Levi learns that he can trust Arne to take care of him and respect him. Levi also learns that he can count on Arne to always be there when he needs him. This is the second book in the Inescapable series and I am looking forward to more. I highly recommend it.
