it was amazing

4 3/4 Stars

Dream is a beautifully touching yet painful continuance of the Inescapable series. I reread the first book in the series since there are a lot of characters to remember. It was no hardship, and reacquainting myself with Kiran and Jude was a pleasure.
Arne is a good, strong character who inspires confidence in the first book. The circumstances of the second book do affect him and show him in a gentler and more emotional light. I like it. It rounds out his personality and makes him even more likable.
Levi, oh, sweet Levi, broke my heart. The trauma he suffered and the mental and physical ramifications from it just about brought me to my knees. I know he is a character in a book, but he is also very real to me. These authors made him tangible, visible, and touchable and embedded him in my heart. I was right there with him through all the memories, fears, and physical pain and cheered for him at every step he took toward reclaiming his life. It is all so well written that I felt like a part of their lives, the good and the bad. If I could have reached in and taken away all of the trauma, I would. I cried and cried and cried. So good.
The romance and fated mate storyline are lovely, sweet, passionate, and very satisfying once they get past the pain.
The underlying story kept my attention, and the conclusion at the end was gratifying and believable.
I look forward to more from these authors and only hope that my heart can take it.
