Bootlace is being hunted. Peace hasn’t come easy for the Stryker Pack, and for Bootlace, the sanctuary they’ve found feels too good to be true. His wolfish instincts are being riled up as a pretty woman with a load of secrets starts visiting him and asking questions she has no business asking. Danielle has been sent by an enemy, but who? He’s supposed to chase her out of the Stryker Pack territory and leave her alone, but there’s just something about her that draws his inner wolf to her. This is a bad idea. Chasing this she-wolf could drag him and his entire Pack back into another war, but there is this little sliver of hope that lives inside of him that he can be redeemable…and so can she.
Danielle Truman is being hunted. She’s known peace in the wilds of Alaska, but when she’s chased out by bigger monsters than herself, she has to make a desperate move to get her home back. The mission? She must find the weaknesses of the Stryker Pack so that their enemies can snuff them out of existence entirely. The problem with that plan? Nothing is as it seems near Promise Falls, and Bootlace is very different from the rumors she’s heard about him. When it comes down to it, she has a job to do so she can finally go home. Too bad completing her mission will hurt Bootlace, because the more she gets to know him, the more it feels like hurting Bootlace will also hurt her. There’s a traitor in the Stryker Pack, and she’s dragging an army of monsters behind her.
Don’t miss this thrilling sixth book in T. S. Joyce’s bestselling Wolves of Promise Falls series. Stark’s Mountains are growing…
Content Warning: love scenes, naughty language, and piles of shifter secrets. This series is mid-war and mid-establishing territory lines. If you aren’t up for wolf fights, this won’t be your jam, but if you’re up for action-adventure love stories with a side of werewolf growly-growly-fight-fights, this one’s for you.
T.S. Joyce is devoted to bringing hot shifter romances to readers. Hungry alpha males are her calling card, and the wilder the men, the more she'll make them pour their hearts out. She werebear swears there'll be no swooning heroines in her books. It takes tough-as-nails women to handle the shifters of Bear Valley.
She lives in a tiny town, outside of a tiny city, and devotes her life to writing big stories. Foodie, bear whisperer, ninja, thief of tiny bottles of awesome smelling hotel shampoo, nap connoisseur, movie fanatic, and zombie slayer, and most of this bio is true.
Bear Shifters? Check Smoldering Alpha Hotness? Double Check Sexy Scenes? Fasten up your girdles, ladies and gents, it's gonna to be a wild ride.
Bootlace is my favourite in this pack, so you bet I bought this the second it was released. There were less crazy moments than I was expecting from our resident weirdo. Bootlace is toned down with Dani, and I think he should have been dialled up to eleven. That’s how he shows love. To subdue his weirdness made it seem like he didn’t want Dani hanging around, because he usually annoys everyone to show he’s thinking of them. It conflicted with his personality to have him mellow because of a girl. He should have been racing through town screaming it our his car window. It was quite a serious instalment, with big impacts and giant conflicts. There is a lot that goes down, and the romance takes more of a backseat than usual. Trey’s story is next, but I feel like he’s had literally three lines in the series and needs a little more build up and development.
I have to say that I was skeptical of Dani like the rest of them at first. But like them, could see she wasn't there to hurt them after she got to see the pack as a whole. I liked the flirtation Bootlace had with Dani, it was cute and both of them got the other to spill secrets that broke my heart. But it was the email that was sent out to everyone that had me with tears in my eyes for this pack that just wanted to live and not be bothered by anyone. I was so glad when the other packs realized what had been going on and were on their side.
Loved this couple and their story. The h is tired of being used by the shifters in her life, so decides to be smarter in her actions. I loved the H who carefully draws her in to his life and pack. But of course he makes mistakes and I really liked the h's courage to make things right for everyone.
What a profound story TS Joyce has written. As I review this book 6, in her The Wolves of Promise Fall series, I have tears in my eyes. Tears for this beautifully funny reading experience. Tears for the heart wrenching nature of the shifter packs who have hurt each other. Tears for Dani and Bootstraps. Tears for the Stryker pack. Tears for the joys of loyalty and love.
Reading for pleasure rarely ascends to a level of peace, for book characters. But TS Joyce uses emotions that we all feel in our own lives, and hers, to transcend a typical paranormal romance and make it a life-worthy chance of redemption. A chance to look at ourselves and those around us, and truly see who we all are.
Yes, The Keeper of Promise is a book. But it is so much more. It is the beating heart in each of us that learns from life. That reaches beyond what we are expected to be. That keeps that internal promise to ourselves to be more. Be more joyful, more caring, and especially more loving.
This might be my new favorite of the series. Bootlace was so funny and this book brought back all those C-team vibes I've been missing in this series 😍
As per the norm with this author, she grabs you and pulls you into the story! You are caught and bewitched and just can’t figure out how quickly she can pull you into this story and place that she selflessly shares with us her humble followers. Every series she has written always has amazing 1 liners and little reminders of her other series! You just can’t get enough! You will find yourself drawn back to reread previous series and even previous books in the current series so you can savor the newest released book. It’s magical and I’m very thankful to this incredible author for sharing her world and characters with us! Enjoy! Please check out her earlier series…you will not be disappointed and you had better put the takeout menu next to you….!
This is the sixth book in the series and I think they should be read in order. Bootlace wants what the others in his pack have found. Someone to share every part of his life. Danielle is sent to spy of the Stryker pack. But it only takes one meeting to see that isn’t going to work. She doesn’t want to do it anyway. She just wants to be left in peace. In order to get the help, she needs she was told she had to spy. Bootlace has a feeling about Dani. His wolf is drawn to her. Can he convince Dani that they aren’t the same pack they used to be? That they never wanted to do the things they were forced to do? This book was a fantastic read. Bootlace and Dani are amazing together. Plus, Dani finds a way to help the Stryker pack that they never could have done on their own. This is a giant surprise in this book as well. I can’t wait for the next book. T.S. Joyce is a fantastic author. She is a must-read author for me. I don’t even read the blurb anymore I just dive in. v
Easygoing ex-war wolf Bootlace has found a way to cope with the life he had to lead as part of the Trader pack, time brings a change even to wolves. Mid-pack dominant lone wolf Dani Truman was just one pup reared to hate, even four years after war in the wolf community, championed by the ex-Alpha of the Trader pack.
Having run afoul of an Alaskan Bear pack, the only way Danielle can live there peacefully is to infiltrate the Trader/Stryker pack and feed the information back through her brother. Dani isn’t in town ten minutes before she’s scoped out, accused of being a spy and been asked to leave by both wolf alphas. But she intrigues Bootlace’s wolf. How do they make that work? Rating: 4.25stars
Keeper of Promise (Wolves of Promise Falls book 6) by TS Joyce is a 5 ⭐️ read. Another brilliant read from T, this was Bootlace’s story, he used to be part of a pack he hated because he had an Alpha who liked war and forced his pack to kill on his command. Now he has a good Alpha in Darren who makes things easier for all of them. Danielle has been sent into spy on Bootlace and his pack by her brother, a new Alpha of a pack with a grudge, she’s also running from a shifter who can’t seem to let he go, it turns out she’s a bad spy and is made the minute she makes contact, but what she doesn’t expect is the chance to get to know the Stryker pack to see if they’re really as bad as she’s been told. Aww I totally fell in love with Bootlace he was such a lovable character.
I have read every single book written by TS Joyce. She was once one of my very favorite authors.. obviously in this genre there's a general formula, we all know that. But it's become so predictable I'm less and less interested in her books. Not much of a climax to this and the last few books. And very little character development. The characters all seem like one in the same. I believe the last great series of hers was the Swim Deeper series. That was original. This series is just.. lacking. Not sure I'll bother reading any more of her books from here on out.
Bootlace’s story is up next and what a story❣️The Stryker Pack has recently changed its name and its Alpha and are hopefully on a path to peace, when Dani a lone Wolf from Alaska arrives. She’s there to spy on their Pack but at the same time, they want to give her a chance to get to know them all so she can steer the Pack that wants to fight with them away…unfortunately the best laid plans are just that….plans😢
A wonderful story and ending and I’m looking forward to Trey’s story and I hope at some point perhaps a mate for Reaper😉
Bootlace and Dani's story was better than the previous story. Each story is an individual one, but you start seeing the connections and the bigger picture. There was so much emotion in this one. It wasn't only the two main characters, but you felt an extreme amount of emotion from the other characters as well. Trey and repeat are still yet to come. I can't wait to read their stories because these two characters have grabbed my attention. I can't help but root for them.
I loved this story and if you look at my review of book 5- I was irritated the two packs hadn’t shown much interaction other than the alphas! This book brought us there a bit more and it pleased me to see it! I love both of these packs and with the girls- I don’t see how they can’t all get along! Woah on Reaper - what the heck happened?! And also sooooo happy for the Stryker pack. Your heart really breaks for them in this story to see how they have encountered so much and all they want to do is just stay alive!
Well, well, well. Just when we were getting comfy and thinkin', "Let's read about Bootlace, he seems fun and kinda annoying." Well, he is all that AND a Ballpark Weiner, too, BUT, I did not see this story comin' at all! Alpha knocked this out of the park and I like where this universe is going. It feels big. Damon's Mountains big, and I'm so excited. The Stryker Pack is gonna get bigger I think. If you've read about Kane, I think we might see something like that on the horizon, maybe?
Tears they will rise! T always writes a story that will break open your heart and fill it with to ease the pain and fill it with the love you may not of known you need!
Bootlace and Dani have an open and honest relationship from the beginning. I love how T brought them together and gave them such a unique storyline.
loved it so much! This world is so big and beautifully written and sucks you in tight!
Yet again an emotional whilst being uplifting story from this author. I really like that through it all she brings an air of humour to these books regardless of the direction of the plot and all the characters are such entertaining individuals. As I have said in other reviews T.S. Joyce is my go to author when I need lifting up and she does so with ease. So much more that can come from this series and I look forward too whatever happens next.
Bootlace just wants to live a peaceful life without being hunted by his old enemies. Dani is a lonewolf sent by her brother to scout out the pack. The Stryker pack is a lot different from the old Trader pack and Dani finds that she has been misled. Dani is told to leave town by the Alphas; but ends up spending time with Bootlace and the pack. Can Dani find a way to become part of the pack and restore some peace between her brothers' pack and the Stryker pack.
I found the first chapter or so a little difficult to wade through. Dani has ill intentions toward the Stryker pack. But Bootlace decides to use her assignment to get the word out that their pack has changed. His plan works beyond his imagination, though there is a fight first.
Bootlace is sweet and funny (in a crude way), and he's wanted a mate for a while. Dani is a little socially awkward, but that just means she fits right in.
The Keeper of Promise by T. S. Joyce is book 6 in The Wolves of Promise Falls Series. Ms Joyce keeps putting out the most fabulous books. She is an author I closely follow and get the book the second I see it. This 6th book is an excellent addition to the series. I look forward to the next book...1010!
Dani is here to spy on the Stryker pack and report back to her brother who is a new alpha in his pack. Bootlace knows she's spying but in his bones he feels like she's a goid person. A lone wolf. Will Dani prove him wrong or will she fall for Bootlace? Great read
WHAT a STORY! The tie is perfect for this one! I enjoyed getting to know these two better. Danielle was in a mess. I wasn’t sire how she was going to get out of it. It was great watching the crews react to her and how they worked to overcome and how well she blended in.
I loved the surprise guest and I look forward to more in this series!
I think this was the most anticipated book of the series. And the funniest. Bootlace has a wild sense of humor and his antics are hilarious. This book had a bit more angst than the others but it was also necessary for the characters and their story. I didn't mind the third break act and loved how the drama was dissolved. I also loved that Dani stepped as the heroine and took charge.
Bootlace had an unexpected depth I enjoyed reading. Dani wasn't a doormat, thank god.
There's always a pain involved in this author's books. Even knowing that it's coming it still stutters the breath in your lungs. This group is so worn and weary. I look forward to the next one or two?
I've read 1 thru 6 and can't wait for 7 this pack is wonderful and the characters are well written and they work together you get to see characters from other books as the story continues with each book .... So good
Of course there is loose ends…some lead to or are answered in next story….however I want to Know if Tank got Taken out sounds like that would be cleaning up the gene pool. Kind of figured out who Reaper was at first introduction….and that pissed me off…as he was my fav character
Ooh. This one was so good! Bootlace and Dani were so interesting to read. I loved them. And there's a really great secret that I hope won't get revealed by reviewers. What a surprise! And the ending. Get your tissue ready. Loved this great story and this series so much. Can't wait to read more.
This book is sensational and I loved every word. There are heartbreaking moments in this book but there is a lot of wonderful parts. There is something that happens in this book that made my heart rejoice. Love this pack!
The Keeper of Promise is in the series that T. J. Is writing I loved it. It hit my heart so perfectly. I can say in all her books make me a happy person.
