Bootlace is my favourite in this pack, so you bet I bought this the second it was released.
There were less crazy moments than I was expecting from our resident weirdo. Bootlace is toned down with Dani, and I think he should have been dialled up to eleven. That’s how he shows love. To subdue his weirdness made it seem like he didn’t want Dani hanging around, because he usually annoys everyone to show he’s thinking of them. It conflicted with his personality to have him mellow because of a girl. He should have been racing through town screaming it our his car window.
It was quite a serious instalment, with big impacts and giant conflicts. There is a lot that goes down, and the romance takes more of a backseat than usual. Trey’s story is next, but I feel like he’s had literally three lines in the series and needs a little more build up and development.
